About this house rental
Newly renovated house with charm in the shade of its cedar centenary, 5 minutes from the Abbey ladies, shops and the train station. Private enclosed garden well flowered during the summer, with a terrace and garden furniture. Parking for cars and motorcycles and secure.
On the floor a big room with 1 bed of 160 and 1 bed of 90, 1 mezzanine with 1 bed of 90. In the rez of putting on, kitchen dining room with plate vitroceramic. Living room with 2 sofas including 1 BZ of 160. Shower room with large shower and separate toilet;
Possibility for 4 beds and the sofa is convertible for 2 people in the living room. Wifi is available for free.
You will find barbecue, sun beds. Tourist documents, maps of the region are at your disposal for walks on foot or by bike and by car.
In Saintes, city of art and history you can visit Gallo-Roman sites, Romanesque and Gothic churches, do your market 6 mornings a week and participate in tourist, sports and cultural activities.
Then Cognac town of the spirits is only 25 km away. The beaches of Royan, the islands of Oleron and Ré are nearby, and the cities of La Rochelle and Bordeaux are worth a visit and are 1 hour by motorway.

We spent a very happy two weeks at this house. It is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Particular plus points was the lovely garden with shady spots to sit under, the terrace for outside dining & secure parking for our car. Saintes is an interesting town and it's possible to take the train to other nearby places, we went to Royan & Rochefort.Annie the host was friendly & welcoming and we would certainly return.

This is a lovely holiday home with plenty of outdoor space and in a very quiet area, yet still within walking distance or a short drive into the centre of Saintes. The house was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed for a 10 day stay. Annie is a really friendly and attentive host, always available if we needed anything. We will definitely be coming back here!

Spacious accommodation in a quiet area with good sized garden. Especially appreciated the automatic locking gate for security and electric shutters on windows. Plenty of hot water and efficient fan in bedroom. House was well equipped. While the property is on the outskirts of Saintes it is easily walkable into city for the essential croissant and coffee daily if needed. Well located for easy and quick access to major road network. Several large supermarkets nearby. Host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
