House in private residence, with pool in Malendure - Bouillante

This lovely two bedroom home is literally 300 steps from Petite Malendure which is a snorkeled dream spot. Just .33 miles to many dive shops ready to take out divers around Cousteau Reserve. We paid for both but quickly realized it is not necessary. We spent hours upon hours explore the reef off the beach and finding something each time. Turtles are abundant with eels, squid, rays, etc. About the home: Parking is provided above the home which is located on the side of a mountain. Getting to the car or beach requires walking up/down a steep slope. Upon entry there is a kitchen and dining table with a living space to the left. This is an open space with no windows (so bugs will be sharing the space with you). When slats are open, a bird or two may pop in. The cool mountain breeze helps it stay cool along with the fans. One master bedroom with ensuite on 1st floor with A/C. Large spaces with ample closet space. To get upstairs, there are steep, narrow steps to a full bedroom (also has A/C) and second bathroom. There is ample space for a family of 4. Internet was available for email and communication. The communication with the owner and the manager was easy and they assisted us with our stay, despite the language barrier. We were thankful for their kindness and understanding. L'emplacement du logement est idéal! Accès à la plage à 5 min à pied, ce qui permet de ne pas prendre la voiture (et de ne pas payer le parking!) La plage est super! De très beaux récifs coralliens, on peut voir pleins de tortues. Parking facile, très peu de marche pour accéder à la résidence. Cependant nous avons eu des soucis avec l'accès internet quasi inexistant (elle l'a modifié dans l'annonce) et le logement mérite clairement un grand coup de rafraîchissement (vis sur la terrasse qui ressort, peinture, chasse d'eau, douche qui fuit, trace d'humidité, etc) La communication a toujours été bonne avec la propriétaire et nous avons pu trouver un compromis. Elle nous avait prévenue qu'elle n'avait pas pu venir depuis 2 ans (pour des raisons de covid) et nous espérons qu'elle pourra y remédié car cette maison possède beaucoup d'atouts. La personne qui nous a accueillie sur place est très sympa et très disponible. Au niveau équipement, nous n'avons manqué de rien! Il y a même sur place parapluie et palme/masque/tuba. Bref je vous conseil ce logement une fois rafraîchit ;)
