Just a half a block from downtown, the historic Wild Rose's location is perfect for walking to the restaurants, cafes, galleries, and the town shuttle. A wonderful fenced yard with a deck, hot tub, and BBQ for summer gatherings or a nice soak apres ski sits across from Coal Creek. Sit on the front porch and listen to the creek and watch locals ride by while reading the paper, or enjoy the interior comfort of this restored home.
The master bedroom with queen bed, cathedral ceilings, original hardwood floors, walk in closet, TV and writing desk has its own entrance and is on the ground floor away from the main portion of the house. Its adjoining bathroom is beautifully tiled with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and dual sinks.
A large tiled mudroom and hallway with two entrances and decks rests between the master bedroom and the kitchen. The side deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening aperitif with a view of the creek and wild flowers.
The sunny kitchen is tiled with ample counter space and a gas stove with open viewing of the cozy living room with its gas fireplace. A spacious wooden dining room table is also part of the open floor plan.
Historic windows, flooring and photos create a feeling of warmth as well as admiration for this home's restoration.
The second floor is accessed off of the kitchen next to a nicely tiled full bathroom. Double doors open to a carpeted stairway lined with several historic photos and two twin beds in the upper hallway which connects to a separate, cozy queen bedroom.

Please note that air conditioning is almost non-existent in Crested Butte. This property does not have AC.

The Wild Rose is the perfect home away from home to relax and let go. My family has stayed at The Wild Rose numerous times over the years. The spacious floor plan, spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, this home has everything you need to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal with all the sides. It was our first Thanksgiving here, and I would spend the holiday at this vacation home again in a heartbeat. The town is quiet, with locals who are happy to greet you, with no shortage of shops open to find what you may have forgotten. I was happy to wake up each morning and warm by the stove, and at dusk watch the alpen glow as the sun set behind the Mt Crested Butte, all bundled up on the rocking chairs on the front porch!

This was a great spot in downtown Crested Butte. Right at the end of the main drag so a quick walk to all the great restaurants and shopping. Right in the midst of the weekend farmer's market and easy to make a quick exit up the beautiful pass. The house was clean with just the right amount of decor -- I actually took photos getting ready for my wedding here and there was just enough touches to make for great pictures but not too much stuff. Hot tub outside was great to relax!Great that this VRBO has a designated parking spot. Street spots were available, but just makes for even more convenience.

Shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, aluminum foil (for grilling) and plastic wrap for food storage were not provided so remember to bring any essentials you might need. Two bathrooms were on the first floor and two bedrooms were upstairs making it inconvenient to access. The property management company requires the beds to be stripped and sheets in washer with towels and started before leaving at 10am. We felt this was much to ask when paying a substantial cleaning fee. Of course, we put out all trash, started dishwasher, started the clothes washer with towels, swept up, etc. before we hit the road. The house with its add on rooms was charming and everything was clean. Neighbors were great! Sam, who works for the property management folks was fantastic! Location is perfect 👍
