Charming property with very friendly owners

Blomard was an ideal location for us to explore the Allier region and to make trips south to the Monts Dore and the Puy de Dôme. The house is really lovely, has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated, and is set in a good sized garden with plenty of room for games. The nearby lake at Lapeyrouse is ideal for cooling down and worth the 10/15 minute drive for a daily swim.

We have spent 2 weeks in this wonderful charming house and we loved everything about it! The house itself is beautifully decorated with a lot of thought and character. It is generously equipped and is simply pleasant to spend time in. The garden enclose is spacious and has few sitting areas scattered around and plenty of furniture. We enjoyed dining outside as the weather was just perfect most of the time. The surrounding is rural and very peaceful. Cows were looking at us from the field across the road. In the nearby town of Monmarault there is everything one needs in terms of food shopping and internet. There is plenty to do around. Around 30 mins from there there is an adventure park where you can do kayaking, high ropes forest cycling and more. The pictorial village of Herrison is not to be missed and if you are interested in history, there are plenty of chateaux and fortresses around to explore. Finally, the owners are lovely, helpful and welcoming. We will surly come back!!!

Beautiful cottage

We spent a week in this delightful house in Blomard. It is a beautiful cottage with great atmosphere. We stayed there with 2 couples and a dog, and we really had a good time. There was a fireplace, a large living, 2 seperate bathrooms and toilets and a very large garden. The owners are the sweetest people you can ever imagine. The were very helpful, and fun to talk to. They invited us over for one night and we even got home made French apple-pie and jam and gelee from the lady of the house. They were so kind. The place Blomard is very small, but nearby is Mont Marrault which has a mini-Carrevour, a bakery and a very nice snack-bar where you can have great Crock-Madames! You won't have to eat anything else after that! And the owner is a sweet man. From the cottage you can do good walking, and see all kind of cities too. We went to Clermont-Ferrand, Moulins, Vichy and, really charming: Charroux.The weather could have been better in our week, but the house is cosy so you'll have a good time, even when the sun doesn't shine all the time.

Charming cottage, great for dogs & walking

We spent 2 weeks at the cottage with our 2 dogs in the spring and loved it. Lots of half day walks from the door or a short drive away (borrow or buy the book of 33 walks for Montmarault), lovely big enclosed garden that catches the sun all day, and a big village just 5 mins drive with a bakery, mini-Carrefour and fabulous restaurant (the Hotel de France). Easy access off the motorway from Paris (it's several miles away, so you don't hear it at all), and beautiful rolling countryside all around. Don't miss the brocantes/car boots at the weekends and on bank holidays, they're great fun and you never know what treasures you'll find. The cottage is semi-detached, but it feels private as the owners (a very welcoming and helpful couple) live in Paris and only use next door as an occasional weekend place. It's beautifully decorated in a "Country Living" rustic chic style, and there's a large open fire place as well as log burner. Perfect for a cosy rural retreat as a couple, with friends or as a family.

We have had a great holiday at this very charming cottage: the design and quality of the interior is superb, with everything you need. The garden is spacious with different places to sit, a barbecue, grass for badminton and a gravel area for petanque. The owners are so kind and helpful. The local town has a baker, butcher, restaurant and bars. The countryside is rolling and suitable for family hiking. All in all just perfect. What a find! Highly recommended.

Toiles d'araignées et araignées dans ttes les pièces. Problèmes d'éclairage dans les chambres,de simples spots posés sur le sol , 2 sur ' ont grillé le 2ème soir . Lave-vaisselle absent .Devant notre protestation,un lave-vaisselle à été livré en urgence le mercredi midi .Cuisine très peu pratique, pas adaptée à une famille de 5 pers, très peu d'ustensiles de cuisine. Terrasse en plein soleil avec un parasol et une table de jardins trop petits et un autre parasol ,fixé dans le milieu du jardin .Mauvaises herbes .Gazon tondu en urgence le lundi midi . Bref ,location plutôt inconfortable malgré une déco qui se veut authentique et et de très beaux meubles .

On ne peut qu'être bien dans cette jolie maison de campagne confortable et meublée avec goût d'objets, meubles et tissus au charme raffiné et authentique. Je dirai que pour moi c'est la maison de campagne idéale située au coeur d'une région à découvrir absolument. L'accueil de Simone est une joie supplémentaire.

Romantisches kleines sehr gemütliches Haus mit großen eingezäuntem Garten - prima für den Hund - und Blick über die sanften Hügel des Bourbonnais. Montmarault ist 3 km entfernt, kleinerer Ort mit tollen Bäckern, Töpferei und Supermarkt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, Annie ist sehr nett und sympathisch, alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten eine richtig gute Zeit!!

Un accueil très chaleureux. Une propriétaire à l'écoute et très accessible. Le lieu et la maison sont très favorables, reposant et entouré de verdure, le jardin est magnifique, et nous avons passé un très très bon séjour. Bien évidemment nous allons revenir. Un lieu à ne pas manquer.

My wife and I and our two dogs had a very pleasant stay in the house in the Bourbonnais. The house is well appointed, it is situated in a quiet surrounding but close to the village of Montmarauld which has all the necessary shops (boulangerie! bar! Carrefour). There is a lot to see and do in the area. We loved the huge garden and the dogs did too. We recommend it!!!!!

Propriétaires très accueillants, maison vraiment jolie et bien décorée correspondant aux photos, cachet de l'ancien, très fonctionnelle. Pour un tableau parfait reste juste le canapé du salon, qui, même si c'est un très beau meuble ancien ne permet vraiment pas de regarder la télé après une grosse journée de visites. Et le wifi qui mériterait un relais car très faible dans la chambre (rdc). Nous conseillons vivement cette location à prix accessible.

Endroit chaleureux et au calme. Joli paysage et balades sympa. Pour les activités estivales, il y a pas mal de choses à proximité (canoë, accrobranche, pêche...). L'intérieur du logement est agréable, l'extérieur est d'une très belle surface pour profiter du grand air. Un séjour dépaysant et reposant en famille.

Montluçon, Vichy und Clermont-Ferrand sind sehr schöne Städte mit einem historischen Stadtkern und unbedingt sehenswert. Die Chaîne des Puys sind noch etwas entfernt und man hat noch den Anfahrtsweg, aber auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Dieses Haus ist mit viel Liebe renoviert und hat einfach Charme. Das Bett im Erdgeschoß hat eine gute Matratze auf der man gut schlafen kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und sehr gut betreut gefühlt! Der Garten ist sehr groß und es ist traumhaft ruhig. Vielen Dank!

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine de vacances en famille. La maison est très agréable, très bien décorée et bien équipée. Le jardin est très grand, parfait avec des enfants. Le calme de la campagne est très plaisant et il y a de nombreuses visites à faire aux alentours pour les petits comme pour les grands. On recommande ! Nous reviendrons

Vacances au calme !

Nous avons passé deux semaines reposantes dans cette charmante maison. Elle est tout à fait conforme à l'annonce et nous ne pouvons qu'aller dans le sens des précédents commentaires. Mme Zizine n'était pas sur place, mais une voisine, Simone a parfaitement pris le relais. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié le charme de la paisible campagne de l'Allier et malgré la chaleur des deux premières semaines de Juillet, la maison était bien fraîche. Les 3 chambres sont agréables, avec une mention spéciale pour la chambre à l'étage qui ouvre sur le jardin. Le terrain, très spacieux, convenait bien à notre chienne. Il y a plein de balades à faire dans les environs dans la magnifique forêt des Colettes ou dans de petits villages charmants (Charroux, par exemple). Les gens sont très accueillants et serviables, notamment dans des petits restaurants où nous avons très bien mangé. Nous voulions des vacances authentiques loin du tourisme de masse et c'est tout à fait ce que nous avons eu !

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce gîte situé en pleine campagne (toutes commodités à environ 3 km). Les propriétaires sont accueillants, disponibles et discrets. Le gîte est aussi charmant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. De plus, lors de grandes chaleurs comme en ce mois d'août 2018, l'épaisseur des mur permet de garder une certaine fraîcheur à l'intérieur. Le terrain, clos et arboré, permet d'apprécier le calme dans un bel environnement propice à la détente. Il dispose de plusieurs "coin repas" pour trouver de l'ombre selon l'heure de la journée. Nous y reviendrons très certainement ne serait-ce que pour continuer à découvrir cette belle région.

La maison et la jardin sont parfaites. Pour notre chien, il y avait beaucoup d'espace pour courir et rester dans l'ombre. La maison est en plein nature mais aussi prés d'une ville et il y a un restaurant à 200 mètres. Pour la plupart de temps les seuls sons étaient le chanson des oiseaux et le coassement des grenouilles et les grillons. Prés de la maison la rivière Sioule est très bonne pour faire le kayak et la campagne est parfait pour le velo. La forêt Chateau-Charles est superbe pour les papillons et beaucoup de randonnées. Fantastique maison, Mme Zizine était très hospitalière et gentille. Nous espèrons revenir.

Une maison comme on en rêve, tout simplement Au premier coup d’œil, au premier pas dans cette maison nous étions sous le charme de cette demeure bien agencée et meublée avec beaucoup de goût. Tout est beau dans cette maison et chaque détail est une invitation à la photographie; une vraie mine de merveilles. Le jardin est immense et tout aussi photogénique. l'accueil par la voisine très sympathique et à l'écoute nous a tout de suite mis à l'aise et ses pommes sont délicieuses. Merci Mme S de Blomard. Les propriétaires malgré la distance sont charmants et extrêmement sympathiques et disponibles. Dommage que nous n'ayons pu les rencontrer; une autre fois j'espère. Le temps était plutôt au brouillard, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de profiter de belles promenades et de visiter un peu la région de nos ancêtres; quoique rester dans la maison nous tentait bien, au coin du feu, avec un bon livre et parfois, il a fallu se faire un peu violence. Le calme de l'endroit, la beauté des lieux, la gentillesse de nos hôtes, tout nous a ravis. Une pépite, mais chut...

Accueil très chaleureux par les propriétaires forts sympathiques et séjour très agréable dans cette maison confortable au charme rustique. Meublée de façon originale et avec goût, on s’y sent bien tout de suite. Plusieurs tables et chaises sont disposées à différents endroits du jardin à l’ombre d’un parasol ou d’un arbre, ce qui permet de profiter de l’extérieur à tout moment de la journée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié, ainsi que nos deux chats, l’ambiance calme et tranquille de ce spacieux jardin clos. La région propose de nombreux monuments, sites et curiosités à visiter, châteaux, cités médiévales, villes d’eaux, musées… Pour se détendre, balades en forêt, parcs ou jardins. Sans oublier les traditionnels marchés avec les producteurs locaux. Tout y est pour passer de bonnes vacances.

Maison très charmante et bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour. Le jardin est très beau et notre petit chien a beaucoup apprécié. Charmante maison et super vacances

Après l’accueil chaleureux par les propriétaires nous nous sommes vite senti à notre aise dans cette belle maison. Notre chien a apprécié le beau jardin clôturé. Le matin petit-déjeuner sur la terrasse suivi d'une des nombreuses activités dans la région. Nous avons vu le puy Pariou, fait la descente de la Sioule, la promenade de 15 km autour de Blomard "le sentier de l'enfer", visité le vilage de Charroux, fait une brocante et chaque après-midi nous sommes allés au plan d'eau de Lapeyrousse. Que peut on vouloir de plus? Merveilleuses vacances.
