A nice place for a short visit

Fantastic new property in Sønderborg. Rooms are very comfortable.

Please be aware for a four star and above hotel the pool and well being facilities are not include in an already expensive price. You must pay extra for pool use and also you have to book use within a time period. Important to note for such a rated hotel. As foreigners maybe used to very different arrangements or pool and spa included in the room rate.

We will definitely stay here again!

We really liked our room, the size was great for a 6 night stay and the location was amazing. I really appreciate that the hotel did their best to find us a lovely room after I asked for a room on a higher floor. The air condition was a must for us and it worked well and the staff was excellent. Breakfast was great, but after the third or fourth time it gets quite repetitive because it never changes.

Parking should either be free or discounted. DKK 120 per day for a five star hotel is not okay. We were also quite disappointed when we realised that the use of the pool was NOT included. The daily cleaning service for the room was okay, but certain things weren't replenished (milk for coffee, water, bathrobe).

Great facilities at a great location. Did everything to make us feel welcome with a baby.

In the spa area they have a separate area with a pool for small children, which could only be used for 2 hours in the morning at the same when breakfast was served.

The room was very clean and above average. Bed was comfy and toilet was spacious. I liked the sensor lights next to the bed. Breakfast was excellent and there was a wide range of items in buffet.

I didn't get a room with a view of the water.

Very nice modern hotel, very clean and in a very good condition. Rooms are well sized, very clean and beds are comfortable. The spa area is very nice and was not too crowded during the time we visited. Breakfast is very good and the products are of high quality (some fresh juice would have been a nice addition, but all was great). Overall a great hotel, we had a very nice stay.

The policy regarding the use of the spa area is a little unclear, particularly with respect to pricing as hotel guests are not automatically allowed to the spa. (this seems to be a newly introduced rule). Further, the spa area practically excludes children younger than 16. This is understandable but should be more clearly communicated.

Ideal place to stay along the Baltic Bike Route

The viewpoint, the breakfast, the location but best of all - fabulous bike parking and the dog welcome package was wonderful. My dog just loved the bed!

Wonderful Place. The view was extraordinary - of the sea, a little bridge and the town. Stylish room with coffee & tea-making-facilities and fabulous breakfast. All of the best :-)

I would have loved to swim for half an hour before breakfast. That's not includes and I think the price is too high for a short morning swim. It would be nice, if an hour per day would be included in the room-rate.

Lived up to expectations

Very clean and modern room. Staff is friendly and helpful. The spa pool is very comfortable. We especially liked the outdoor infinity pool. Breakfast was excellent.

Pillows were not comfortable at all. Bathroom door doesn't shut completely and therefore doesn't leave much privacy. The pricing concept of the spa is quite confusing.

It's a very nice but expensive Hotel & Spa. Everyone was very nice. Excellent breakfast. They made sure my dog had some bowls, a bed and some food and chewies. Love that. Also love how big the towels are!

Would like to have more roomservice options. And the option to use the Spa pool for an hour instead of three. The bed has those sensors that a small light turns on when you step out of it, very fancy, not very handy with a dog sleeping on the floor next to the bed and moving. 😂

Top choice

Will be a featured hotel in our upcoming travel guides! Wonderful location right on the waterfront and great views of the sound (Allusund). Easy access, easy to find and easy to park. The parking structure across the street is connected with a skybridge to the hotel. The promenade in front of the hotel goes all the way to the park by the castle and continues for miles toward the Sonderborg Lystbadehavn. Our suite had great views and on a.clear day we watched the sunset. Good sized with a large sitting area with an ottoman and a couch as well as a large desk. We loved the split bathroom. Half bath with a toilet and long sink with heated floor, and a separate shower room with a large sink. Lots of counter space for make-up and toiletries. The bath sheets are enormous. Comfy bathrobes appreciated too. Breakfast was an event. Delicious and extensive selections, lots of local items. Terrific chef made items. Excellent coffee and tea. Front desk staff and breakfast staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Easily the best, largest, and most extraordinary breakfast buffet I have ever experienced.' Actually added significant value to the high cost of the room. The view from the room was magnificent and the shower even better than mine at home. The entire hotel is spotless, first rate and well-deserving of its 4 stars.

It was so good we will be back very soon!

This is the best breakfast selection I have ever seen.The food is fresh and selection extensive. I highly recommend:the pancakes with vanilla syrup and bacon; all cheeses, all freshly baked bread; freshly prepared jams ( especially the strawberry jam) liver pate ( amazing) the salmon, the selection of Danish pastries and selection of coffee. I stayed a few days and each day I discovered something new. The suite was extensive and well laid out with spectacular views. Staff were exceptionally accommodating. The view point is amazing. Exceptionally clean.

Amazing view, beds were great, and the place is brand new, so hard to complain about anything like that. I have edited this in, because it would be wrong to forget tha the breakfast is quite amazing. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in my life, and I think this is the biggest selection of breakfast items, I have ever come across :) and it was all quite nice, taste and fresh.

It's hard to give this property other than the highest marks; it's almost brand new, we stayed in a great room on the 16th floor with an amazing view of both the water and the city. But as we all know the devil is often in the details. The hotel has no parking, there is a parking garage right across the street, but it has nothing to do with the hotel, so availability is your own problem, and it adds almost 10% to the cost of your stay. They cannot reserve a table for you in the restaurant in the reception, if it's on the same day; and again availability of a table in the restaurant becomes your own problem. There is not many things that annoy me more that being told that there is no space in the restaurant of the hotel you are staying in; for me this should never be possible; you are often tired on arrival, it's often late, and the last thing you want to do is to scramble out into a city you may not be familiar with, in hopes of having dinner. To add insult to injury, the person at the restaurant was quite arrogant, was not impressed that we were staying in the hotel, rolled his eyes, and seemed very doubtful about the prospects of securing a table for us; that being said, he did come around though, and we did get a table and had a very nice, but also quite expensive dinner there. As mentioned above, the room was pretty amazing, but so was the prize, so it's not a value for money kind of place, more a you get what you pay for. In the room itself, the arrangement around the toilet light is not well thought through, when you turn the light on in the toilet, it also turns on in part of the bathroom, which lights part of the bedroom, and there are no doors to close, so my wife went to the bathroom in the dark early in the morning, as not to disturb me.
