You are only 2 hours from Paris, but what a change of scenery in this privileged setting in the heart of hunting Sologne, in the middle of a large family property! The castle has a magnificent view of the meanders of the private river (la Sauldre). You can take long walks on the property and observe the beauty of the flora and fauna. Fishing and water lovers can enjoy the river and the 2 ponds located 300 meters away (boats, kayaks). You will love the calm of this house so well equipped for your comfort, and you will find well-being in its spa. You will also like its large solar heated swimming pool which will allow you to play for hours in very pleasant water. While some play pool, others play board games or read by the fireplace or in the sun on the terrace.
You can enjoy long games of tennis on the property's course, so bring your winning equipment!

Capacity, between 21 and 24 people, with 2 kitchens. With the possibility of 3 additional bedrooms (with shower room and WC each), and 2 beds per bedroom. This will allow you to all stay under the same roof during your family reunions!

We had a memorable week at the beautiful Château des Roches. The setting alongside the river is idyllic, with lakes at either side and huge amounts of space. I loved sitting under the shade of a tree at the bottom of the garden watching an otter swimming through the lily pads. We enjoyed walking along the paths through the estate, feeding the goats, playing table tennis and tennis, swimming in the beautiful pool, and spending happy hours in beautiful surroundings. While the house is stunning we didn't spend much time in it, but it provided a beautiful backdrop! The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed for a large group. There is a washing machine but no clothesline so drying children's clothes each day was difficult. Bedrooms were OK, but most had no clothes hanging space and the beds were very firm – stairs are incredibly creaky! There are no fans so on some nights it was uncomfortably warm. Note that there is another large gite right beside the château gite and sharing a lot of the same outdoor space. The pool is lovely but is at the opposite corner of the château and as we weren't allowed to walk past the owners' side of the house then we had a 5 mins walk to the pool. It wasn't a big problem, but with young children in hot weather it was a bit inconvenient, especially with no toilet facilities near the pool.All in all, we had a lovely holiday in a beautiful setting with space for our extended family to both enjoy time alone and together.

Delightful chateau, accommodated a large family of three generations and 13 people easily. Well equipped, clean, attractively and interestingly furnished and decorated, comfortable, and characterful. Very well equipped kitchen. Good to be able to eat outside in conveniently located area with tables. Beautiful extensive grounds by a river. Children appreciated the trampoline and we all enjoyed the pool.

We had an excellent two-week stay at Chateau des Roches. The property itself was ideal for our party which included 13 adults and two young babies. Within the grounds we really enjoyed the pool, tennis court and table tennis as well as paddle boarding on the river. The surrounding roads were excellent for running and cycling and we regularly cycled to the tabac in Selles Saint-Denis for a coffee or beer and they were very friendly. We also had fun day trips to Romorantin-Lanthenay including tasty lunches at La Bell Epoque. Jehanne-Claire and her family were very friendly and helpful and always available if we needed anything. Would thoroughly recommend and we hope to come and stay again in the future.

If you ever dreamed of staying in a real Castle this is your chance! Château les Roches located 2 1/2 hours south of Paris in the middle of the Loire Valley is a wonderful experience! Built in the 16th century this grand structure has been in the same family for over 500 years! It has been restored in a rustic style befitting its history. My family of 9 stayed here for a week exploring the region and it’s numerous unbelievable treasures. This area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the largest concentration of Castles in the world! The Château is wonderful for large groups and everyone in my family had their own bedroom and bath. The owners are extremely accommodating and anxious to assist in any way from making dinner reservations to suggesting day trips. Believe me when I say you can’t go wrong with Château les Roches.

We had an excellent stay at Les Roches, and hope to visit again: + Beautiful Chateau + Beautiful grounds + Wonderful, helpful owner + Slept 17 comfortably + Lots to keep you entertained (nice pool with volleyball net, animals, river etc). +Close enough to Paris for a day trip. Things to know: There is a small gite and the owners property attached to the building, so you may see others on the property grounds at times. The grounds are so big that you don't notice however. All 17 of our party were really pleased with the accomodation, and would all happily return.

Although we had unseasonably cool weather this July, our family loved our week at Les Roches. We used it as a jumping off point for many attractions in the Loire, including several famous Chateaus in the area, the Zoo, and for an enterprising few, even a trip to Mont Ste. Michelle (4 hours each way). Our family of 18 (including 7 kids under 10 years old) also spent a lot of time swimming in the pool and jumping on the trampoline and otherwise enjoying the charming old manor house. We highly recommend it!

Dans une bien jolie région, le cadre est fort agréable - tant le parc du Château que la maison elle-même - où tout est vraiment confortable, aménagé avec goût et bien pensé pour un nombre important d'occupants. Nous y avons passé cinq jours très chaleureux en famille, où petits et grands se sont rapidement sentis comme chez eux, grâce à l'esprit accueillant et convivial que Madame de Beauchesne a insufflé au lieu.

Le cadre est fantastique, le calme est à l'avenant. Nous étions 15 (8 adultes et 7 enfants) et le château est parfait pour ce nombre de personnes. Les chambres sont toutes bien pensées et décorées, la cuisine très bien équipée et quel accueil ! Nous avons même eu des légumes du jardin gentiment offerts par madame de Beauchesne. Encore merci et aimerions revenir vous voir dans votre belle région.

Un cadre reposant typique Sologne forêt, étang, rivière, voire animaux. Un gîte et un Chateau mode grand confort à la décoration façon bon goût et des équipements appropriés. Ballades, pêche, trampoline, billard, piscine jour et nuit, barbecue géant et autres plaisirs champêtres avec nos 30 invités sont au rendez vous. Déjà c'est bien. Et puis la gentillesse de la châtelaine, son humour, son dynamisme, sa discrétion et son empathie certaines permettent de rendre le séjour absolument délicieux. Pour des moments privilégiés toutes générations.

Week end d'anniversaire extraordinaire dans un lieu magique et plein de charme. Situation facile à trouver. Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. Le chateau est très bien équipé (cuisine, chambres...) et les enfants ont, quant à eux, profité des jeux extérieurs. Nous avons trouvé, ainsi que nos invités, tout notre bonheur dans cette maison. , Remarquable week-end pascal en famille : nous étions 18, 11 petits-enfants, 3 couples et le grand-père ! Chaque génération en revient enchantée. Grande cuisine, grand salon avec feu permanent dans la cheminée au rez-de-chaussée ! 4 chambres pour couple très bien équipées au 1er étage et12 couchages au 2éme pour la jeune génération. Trampoline, jacouzi,... un bonheur !

Les Roches , c'est simple, c'est un lieu absolument magique pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme. La maison est décorée de manière sobre mais chic ; de la cuisine en passant par le salon, la salle de billard, la salle à manger ainsi que chaque chambre qui a son ambiance. C'est LE lieu idéal pour une fête de famille, un week-end entre amis ou tout simplement un moment paisible de partage. Pour finir, je ne peux que remercier l'accueil plus que chaleureux de la maîtresse des lieux dont la présence discrète mais prévenante ont fait de ces deux jours un moment inoubliable ! ( Je n'oublie pas non plus son fidèle compagnon à 4 pattes, grand copain de nos enfants ! ;-) )

Tout était réuni pour que nous passions une merveilleuse semaine aux Roches. Le beau temps, le cadre rénové avec beaucoup de goût, tout en préservant le charme de l'ancien. Entre la piscine, le parc, le trampoline et en plus les cousins, les enfants ont passé des vacances de rêve et nous aussi. Sans oublier un accueil très chaleureux, des propriétaires aux petits soins pour nous et une région magnifique, chargée d'histoire et de culture. Bref le bonheur! Merci à tous. Christine et Xavier

Nous avons passé un excellent we familial dans cette belle propriété. Au programme: ballades et course à pied dans les bois, pêche, trampoline, billard, jeux de société au coin du feu, préparation des repas dans une belle cuisine grande et bien équipée, balnéo et nuit reposante dans un calme absolu. Les pièces à vivre comme les chambres à coucher sont très agréables: beaux volumes et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Un cadre idéal, situé à 2h de Paris, à recommander pour un grand we familial ou avec de nombreux amis!

Bravo pour ce beau château. Sa décoration le rend très chaleureux et il est également très fonctionnel. Nous avons passé un Noël merveilleux avec une belle bande d'enfants et d'adolescents. Nous avons loué le chateau pour 4 jours avec des amis. Le cadre est fantastique, loin de la ville et parfait pour des parties de pêche. Les enfants ont adoré le trampoline et la salle de billard. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la cuisine adaptée pour de nombreuses familles. Le salon est tres chaleureux. Nous recommandons ce chateau. Les propriétaires sont charmants et le chien (braque de weimar) adore le saucisson...

20/20 Un lieu sublime pour passer le nouvel an en famille et entre amis ! Le château est extrêmement bien tenu, les chambres sont meublées et décorées avec un goût exquis (confortables également grâce à leur salle de bain particulière), les pièces à vivre sont aménagées avec un grand soin (cuisinière Lacanche, frigidaire américain, grande cheminée, salle à manger de réception, salle de billard, etc.), le parc et la forêt sont propices aux ballades et à l'amusement (grand trampoline pour les enfants), ...bref, pour nous, 2012 sera forcément une grande année ! Un grand merci également pour l'accueil réservé par la charmante propriétaire des lieux.

Excellent WE de 3 jours passé dans ce château familial avec un groupe composé d'adultes et d'enfants (de 2 à 11 ans). Très bon accueil. Cadre verdoyant et charmant avec sa petite rivière. Décoration raffinée. Une grande cuisine chaleureuse, un salon confortable, une salle à manger au décor de boiseries et de superbes chambres. Le trampoline a remporté beaucoup de succès !
