The location was great. The neighbourhood is very quiet and beautiful. It is very close to public transport, but also a nice location to walk to and from to the various sights of Kyoto. The bath tubs made for a relaxing way to finish the day after walking around in the rain.
There could have been some lamps in the bedroom, but this is a small criticism.

Comfortable bed and nice hot tubs.
Check in was not smooth and no replacement towels throughout entire stay although promised by staff. Hassle to climb up and down the stairs to get stuffs.
