Very good location: on the edge of Gion, so calm and quiet, but at the same time very close to main attractions in central Kyoto. Traditional Japanese accommodation offering great experience and comfort. A bit pricey compared to regular hotels, but worth it. Strongly recommended.

Comfortable bed and nice hot tubs.
Check in was not smooth and no replacement towels throughout entire stay although promised by staff. Hassle to climb up and down the stairs to get stuffs.
