We liked the feeling of it being our little house. It was cozy and the location was soooo nice! We specially enjoyed the bath (even if it looked small in the pictures, my 1,87cm husband could fit in nicely).

Beautiful house and great location location. We really enjoyed staying at Gion no Yado.
Some areas are difficult with little ones. The boys did well but suited more for older kids and adults.

Comfortable bed and nice hot tubs.
Check in was not smooth and no replacement towels throughout entire stay although promised by staff. Hassle to climb up and down the stairs to get stuffs.
