Modern hotel near the atation

Smartly decorated hotel right near the train station. Great room - super stylish. HYGE bathroom. Staff was very nice. Also a great breakfast.

great stay in hidden gem at great location

the wifi in my room was poor. Unfortunately, the bread at the breakfast buffet was not of very good quality. It had an industrial taste, reminiscent of supermarket or frozen bread, and lacked the freshness and character of artisanal bread.

My husband and I will definitely stay at the Hotel D Geneva during our next trip to Geneva!

Hotel D Geneve was the perfect choice for our week long vacation in Geneva. The proximity to the train station and Old Town Geneva allowed for ease of walking to a variety of restuarants, shopping, and sites. The hotel was literally a 7 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to the centre of Old Town. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was both enjoyable and comfortable. Their recommendations for places to eat were spot on. We chose to stay in the luxe room and were not disappointed. The comfort of the bed, amenities, and cleanliness were excellent. The breakfast was delicious and offered both hot and cold options (e.g., eggs, sausage, varieity of cheeses, yogurt, etc). Having our breakfast daily at the hotel allowed us to start our day early and fortified.

Hotel D Geneva was the perfect choice for our vacation. Can't think of anything that would require improvement.

A very modern comfortable hotel with excellent staff.

The hotel looked to have a very new fit out and was very clean. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Great bed, great shower. The location was close to the sights and there were plenty of places to eat nearby. Only a short walk from the central railway station. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, lovely hotel, be aware of sex workers around the area

Location was absolutely fantastic, close To everything including the bus/train station for airport transfer.

The property is in a middle of a “red district “, which we didn’t know. Stripping clubs are around along with the women workers standing at each corner. I was glad to be walking with my husband, as I wouldn’t feel safe being on my own. Also there was a lot of noise coming from these horny clients at night and early morning, unbearable to sleep. We were forced to have a window open for fresh air as the air con was completely switched off.

We had a room upgrade but our room was very small and had a tiny glass walled bathroom. Obvious things missing like there were no charging sockets next to the bed in our room.

Fantastic hotel!

The hotel was close to the main station and the car rental place, there are restaurants and groceries nearby. The lake is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are modern. The shower was great - good water pressure. There’s storage in the bathroom for toiletries. Soundproofing was also good, although we were on a higher floor on a quiet night. Breakfast was decent, although limited selections for vegetarians. Staff was friendly. Book a bigger room for a longer stay!

A kettle in the room could be good for hot water. The towels could be more absorbent or there could be a better area to hang towels to dry.

Breakfast was adequate. It offered enough range of food, it was well presented and the fruit was fresh. My only concern was there was a kettle for guests to boil for making of tea, this could be very dangerous if there was young children around.

The room was very small which we expected but ther was absolutely nowhere to put our suitcases except on the floor - very inconvenient when stay for a couple of days. The bathroom, whilst newly renovated, was very user unfriendly. We chose not to have clean towels every day but ther was no place to hang the used towels to dry the. The hand towel rail was too close to the bathroom wall to hang easily.

Not happy at all. Room were hot and staff said we have to accept it accoding to city regulations!!!!

Location only.

The air-condition is only as fan. It was hot to sleep. Annoyed all the night. Honestly if we knew it we would not book the hotel. Also we have been asked for a deposit of 300 euro while that was not mentioned earlier. It was mentioned only 100 euro , so it was not planned. Rooms are very small. No kettle in the room so we have to request it. Fridge was not cooling and when we complained we were told to keep our stuff in hotel fridge and request it whenever needed. For sure not gonna repeat the same hotel at all.

Would like to come back, but there are places for improvement

I had a pleasure staying in D Hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was able to rest, have a good breakfast and gym training. Gym machines are new and very good. Room is sound isolated. Close to train station and bus station (but pay attention to neighborhood). Very nice variety on breakfast. Was provided with transport card and could leave my luggage.

I think a couple of things could be improved: Wi-Fi mentioned as one of the facilities was working bad (I couldn’t have even audio call without interrupting because of network). A couple of complementary bottles of water would be nice too. Ability to make ac colder would be great. Little mirror in room was broken, gym is little (i was just lucky be alone there almost all time) and with transparent door (maybe a bit of privacy by partly covered glass would be nice), if conditioner for hair was provided as well as shampoo would be great, hairdryer could be certainly much better (it is old), if breakfast was until 11 could be also nice (I arrived late and was rushing to eat and needed to ask for more food, but was given). Neighborhood is indeed near red lights and some peculiar places, but I was just one night and it was fine for me.

While it’s convenient to the train station, bus terminal, the lake and many good restaurants, it’s not pleasant to be across from a strip joint or have many prostitutes a block away.

Amazing 5 star stay at the Hotel D Geneva!

- Excellent location in Geneva city centre - close to all main sights and public transport - Room was clean, modern and had all the facilities expected of a 4 star hotel - with special mention to the lovely shower - Breakfast was adequate with lots of varieties - both hot and cold - Most importantly; all the staff in the hotel were amazing and extremly helpful - including the receptionists and breakfast staff - they made us feel very welcome and always had great smiles on their faces 10 out of 10 rating - well done!!

Modern rooms with several thoughtful touches, including very nice toiletries, international and USB charging outlets

A series of flaws mean I probably will not stay here again: -when checking out at 5:45 am, the front desk tried to charge me for breakfast. I had to specifically ask what the added charge was for and then indicate I hadn’t eaten breakfast - but of course I hadn’t, it wasn’t even open yet. -the rooms are very cramped, barely space for one small carry-on suitcase on the floor. Would not recommend staying here as a group of two or with large baggage -shower water did not ever seem to get fully hot -room had an unpleasant smell of frying food, perhaps from the kitchen downstairs or a nearby restaurant
