The property was exactly as described and the photos were spot on.
The property is well maintained, with the addition of brilliant air conditioning being such a welcome addition.
Martine is lovely. We do not share a language, but we had a lot of fun breaking the language barrier with a combination of hand gestures and new technology (Google). She provided us with fig jam and a constant supply of fresh figs, peaches and tomatoes from her garden.
She lives next door but we never felt that this was an intrusion as Martine is extremely discreet.
We would definitely recommend this as a holiday destination for people wanting to discover the region. Cognac itself is a small town but does play host to a collection of Cognac distilleries one of which we visited (Remy Martin). It is also well placed to visit some lovely neighbouring places such as Saintes and Angouleme.
