Sunny Ocean Hotel & Spa

The staff were all very lovely, especially Matteo (Dong) who was very friendly during breakfast at the egg station and at the sky bar. The breakfast buffet had mainly Asian food but the western options were enough for me. Location was good - right by the beach!

The pool are was slightly small so not many people could be there at once (5 sunbeds). Bathroom was alright, it was clean but had low lighting and the shower door opened outwards which made the space a bit awkward.

Firstly, the hotel was great. Booking.com is awful. I booked here for our anniversary, our first time in Vietnam from Malaysia (I'm British but I live in Malaysia) - at first we were unsure about the hotel, but it turned out to be one of the favourite hotels we have stayed in. In Malaysia it's Muslim, so all the hotel buffets are halal. When we came to the buffet it was bacon and chicken sausage, we needed pork. After complaining, Tuan made pork daily. He even today came and brought me my own bowl of pork ribs. The bar is great and quiet, if you want a drink in peace, again it's run by Tuan. Honestly Tuan made our stay, he's incredible, listens and sorts everything and from being unsure about the place, when we come back we will only stay here and the reason, apart from it being 30 seconds from the beach, is because of the staff and Tuan.. and the braised pork ribs and 3 dollar cocktails brought to your room

Traffic outside can be a little noisy at night, but that's not the hotels fault, that's a da nang thing that you will have anywhere, people like to beep their horns 😂

The problem was that the room did not have a window with an outside view which resulted in me feeling claustrophobic. The room was a bit noisy during the night, noises coming from nearby rooms in the night

Location in close proximity to My Khe Beach and street food vendors and restaurants.

The bath towels and hand towels were ragged and worn, thin, and dingy white . Bathroom had mildew.
