KOKO HOTEL Ikebukuro - formerly Hotel Wing International Select Ikebukuro

The hotel smells great when you walk into the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a room at the end of the hall and was a corner room with a cool layout that gave us a great place to store our luggage. The location was great with a 7-11 down the street and a very short walk to the heart if Ikebukuro.

Elevators were somewhat slow, but really that’s the only thing I can come up with as a negative. But truly not a big deal.

The location is so underrated - it's away from the touristy chaos yet the local vibe is top notch. It was a 8-10 min walk from metro with a stroller but we enjoyed that walk every time - it was a good pep up or wind down walk for us always. Ikebukero is connected to all the major spots via direct buses or trains without needing transfers - huge win with a stroller We initially felt a bit disappointed with the minimalistic breakfast menu but low key started enjoying it as the days passed :) and actually miss it now ! The microwave in the cafeteria helped with toddler meal preps All the amenities are available at the reception and you can pick as per your needs and could even get additional pillows , robes , blankets and even humidifier for our stay

Cleaning isn't regular and happens every third day- but that's a norm across tokyo so can't really complain For the first two days we were in the mid size room and it was tight with a toddler so we requested to keep one of the luggages in the storage instead , later we moved to the bigger room and it had enough space for our family of 3

Close to public transport. I really appreciated that they can hold the bags at check -in and check-out

Room is small.
