Lucky's Surf Camp

The staff was amazing! The breakfast was the best! The barista art out of this world!

Lovely property with a roof top restaurant. Super nice and clean rooms. Loved the possibility of walking from the room, grabbing the board and less than 1 min to the beach front! I had a surf lesson first and the instructor was proactive with a lot of good feedback, else I rented the board myself for the other times and surfed infront of the Marriott. The staff was helpful by suggesting areas along the beach which was suitable for beginners! Also the roof top restaurant has good breakfast and dinner options!

Maybe a bit pricey, but generally the hotels in Weligama are a bit pricey compared to other areas in Sri Lanka.

Lucky’s cafe, where breakfast are served was pretty nice. The breakfast were fancy and worth of money. Also the location was good, near to beach and close to surf schools. Very good spot for surfing.

The room was basic, nothing special for a lot of money. In my opinion that was a bit overpriced, but maybe the reason was that you can book surf camp through their websites and booking reservations are just for side hustle. But for the money i was expecting different services, maybe some good offers for surfing lessons or something extra.. Also the communication through booking messages was very poor. I was asking about early check in and they answered me one day before check out at their place. Also we didn’t get any recommendations about surf schools or lessons, so I didn’t see any interest to people from Booking. Next time I am going to choose different place, probably this one is really good just for surf camps, which you can book on their websites.
