Gîte LOT, near Rocamadour, Gramat, Padirac

We stayed at this house for a month in June 2014. The house is very much in the style of the houses in this area and is surrounded by the beautiful rock walls that are everywhere in the lot valley. Inside was clean although the beds were a little uncomfortable. The hosts, although we couldn't communicate as we don't speak French and they speak only a little English, were just lovely and very helpful. There was no washing machine when we arrived, which was going to be a problem for us as we were staying there for a long time, but when we asked where the closest laundrymat was, they simply said that they will buy and install a machine for us within the week. And while there was a great deal of lego and other children's toys in the house for our boys, they even brought more for us upon their next visit. So thoughtful. The exterior of the house looks as shown but it should be noted that the house is very close to the road with cars driving past just above your head. It should be noted though that the road isn't overly busy. But it is too close for you to feel comfortable with young kids. There are some simply lovely and beautiful villages easily accessed by car within 30-40 mins (and others closer). Well worth visiting the lot valley!
