Maison avec jardin à la campagne

A warm welcome from Jerome our host on arrival. The gite was perfect, with spectacular views across the fields and valley's and had everything we needed for our stay. We had some wet weather at the end of the first week and Jerome kindly lit the woodburner while we were on a shopping trip so the place was lovely and cosy on our return, and continued to ensure we had plentiful wood for the burner, even supplying lighters and kindling!!. A great host who went the extra mile (or kilometer!!) to ensure our stay was perfect.

Excellent on almost all levels! Modern large house (next to the house of the landlord), very nice garden and terrace, spectacular view on the fields (better than the website shows), clean and sunny swimming pool, well equipped kitchen... Nice personal contact with the landlord. Only one negative detail: the (good) beds (140x180) are not large enough for average Dutch and Belgian people, which is a pity for such an otherwise large and lovely house

We had a lovely time at Jerome & Corrine's gite. The children had lots of space to run around and the pool was great! The gite was equipped with all the essentials you would need and there's also a few shops a few minutes drive for essentials. This was our first time booking/staying through VRBO so didn't realise that sheets/bedding didn't come included and also that we were expected to either clean the property ourselves or pay the host for an end-of-stay clean - so that was unexpected/hidden cost as wasn't really stated anywhere n the booking details etc. Anyhow, Jerome and Corrine were lovely hosts and gave us privacy but always available for support if we needed anything. We had such a lovely stay - perfect place for a break away from it all. We couldn't believe just how quiet and peaceful it is here. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The property is wonderful to share with friends and family. There is loads of space and the outdoor space is amazing. The children loved using the pool. Would return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
