About this cabin rental

7 miles to Ohio University, cozy and secluded cabin on private road. Renovated in 2019 our 2 bedroom cabin has 4 porches with great country views. The bedrooms are each furnished with a king size bed. Each bedroom has access to a personal porch. To access the bedrooms guests must walk up steep-ish stairs. We offer wifi internet and a smart TV for entertainment, bluetooth speaker, preloaded super Nintendo also provided. The cabin has a washer and dryer, a pretty well equipped kitchen and a 3 piece bathroom with shower. The yard is great for star gazing and has a firepit, wood provided upon request. WE ARE NOT A BUG FREE ENVIRONMENT. We clean like crazy and spray regularly but the cabin has been in the woods for 30 plus years. I promise you will see ladybugs, stinkbugs, maybe a wasp, or anything else that is in nature..

About this cabin rental

We really liked the cabin but it wasnt exactly the same as the pictures. I hope they fix the floor before the next people rent it. They said they had an issue with the water and tried to fix it and it before we got there. The floor was very soft and felt like it would fall through as we stepped on it. I wish they would have called and explained this before we arrived. We could have chosen another place. I kinda felt like they put our safety in jeopardy so they didnt loose the reservation. This is just one thing that was wrong. Unfortuneately we will look elsewhere next time we come to the area.

We love the solitude and the king size beds, temperature control in each room, 4 porches to choose from all excellent for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, many accommodations! I had an awesome experience. Absolutely loved the cabin. Upper and lower decks gave you an amazing view. The property had all of the amenities necessary. It was comfortable and inviting. Would definitely come back with my family.

Good cabin with full kitchen, utensils, a refrigerator/freezer that works well; and decent heating (I was there in the winter). Has very nice decks. I watched sunrise and sunset from the south-facing one. Note that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs.

Great romantic getaway. About 90 minutes from Columbus, OH. We enjoyed our stay here with our 2 dogs. TV consisted of Hulu or Netflix (owners account). 4 porches to relax, firepit (logs provided) kindling easily found around the edge of yard. The Bush's were great Hosts and quickly responded to our requests.

The cabin was absolutely superb. It’s was nestled right in the middle of the woods and was so peaceful. The owners provided a small gift basket that was waiting for me when I arrived. The beds were super comfortable and for the price you can’t beat how nice the cabin itself was. There was tons of wildlife around and very little noise. I absolutely will be booking again for this location

We really enjoyed our time at this rustic getaway. Location was quiet, comfortable, and private. Amazing balconies and birding. This place had what we needed including firewood and eggs. It was clean, could have been a little cleaner, but it didn’t detract from a nice weekend. Close to Strouds Run and downtown Athens. Hosts were always ahead on communication and we would stay here again.

Great cabin about 15 minutes away from downtown Athens. It was so nice sitting on the decks looking out over the property. The beds were so comfy! Communication was wonderful and it was nice to be able to bring our dog!

The process was good and check-in was fine. The ownersxwere responsive. The place was clean and beds were comfortable. There was construction debris in several places and some unsightly things beneath the property making it challenging with our pup. The deck were great and bird watching was nice. Wish it had more of a cozy feel.

This cabin is very well kept and has a very homey feel. It is very peaceful and relaxing to sit on one of the balconies and enjoy the beauty of nature. Location is close to OU. It is a little far from Hocking Hills, but the drive there is beautiful if you enjoy driving. Would stay here again!

This was such a great place to stay! Walking in you can tell it’s a place that is taken care of. Everything smelled clean and sanitized as we walked in. There were plenty of blankets and towels. The owners left us a welcome package and fresh farm eggs! They were wonderful in communicating and we would definitely stay again!

This was a really nice experience. The cottage has a rustic, lived-in feel with a lot of charm. The rural setting offers great opportunity to be in nature. Our favorite activity was sitting on the deck to watch the birds. The decks are a real selling point for this property. There are four of them offering great views of the surrounding country. The owners are very nice and hospitable. They are also very responsive and communicative. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and some other treats. The place was clean, and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The kitchen is adequate with basic supplies (although for specialized cooking, guests may wish to bring some of there own utensils). There were notes everywhere explaining things like how the internet works, the AC unit, etc. The owners are pet friendly and our two dogs really enjoyed being somewhere where they could wander a bit. The cottage is close to Athens and an hour or less away from the sites of Hocking Hills. This was a great experience and I am really hoping to be able to visit again.

It was easy to get too. Ones there we pulled up to a cute small cabin. Its a great size inside. Small enough to keep up after. We are a family of five. One room had two nice size beds. The other king size bed with futon both room had great ac and Both room had decks. The kitchen has everything you need. Over all it's was perfect great away. You can tell it's been updated some. So stay a couple of days you'll miss it when you leave.

My wife and I had an absolute blast! The property is beautiful and secluded. Wonderful firepit, as well as fire wood provided to us before we even arrived. We really enjoyed spending time on all four of the decks. Everything is clean and very well kept. I got to meet one of the owners and knew instantly that they are great people. They work hard to ensure that their guests are satisfied. 10/10 would recommend. We can't wait to go back!

Let me preface this by saying we did not end up staying and the bushes refunded (kindly), most of our money. This property is not as described. We were shocked upon arrival at this cabin. The pics online need updated to accurately reflect. Some of our issues were---the firepit is huge but broken and the yard is so overgrown it isn't usable, cabinets inside are dilapidated and falling off, the fridge has items in it such as beer, the porch both front and back are a mess (it seemed like we had arrived at someone's house who wasn't expecting guests) and there is carpet in the front lawn. There was also bugs inside which didn't bother us a lot as we were in the forest but the bug killer everywhere was a bit of an ew factor. We felt we could not stay here with our pup as much as we had looked forward to this trip and emailed the owners who were nice enough to refund a portion. I can't recommend this place until they put a bit of TLC into it.

This little cabin couldnt have been any better for a nice week long getaway. The property owners are so accommodating and very friendly. The view is gorgeous and the house itself is just so cute. I personally loved all the teal accents, that is my favorite color. Only about 10 mins from anything you could need retail or food, and 15 from Ohio Universities lovely campus. 35-45 mins from Hocking Hills and all of it's wonderful sights. You will not regret staying here...I am having a hard time wanting to leave!
