About this house rental
Very beautiful wooden house of 160 m ², real isba Polish for 6 persons, on 6000 m ² of ground raised with privative swimming pool of 10m X 5m secured by alarm.
2 double rooms - 1room with 2 single beds - 2 bathrooms - 1 big living room - 1 dining room with American kitchen - 1 cooker Falcon with 5 fire, 2 ovens, 1 grill oven - 1 covered terrace giving onto the swimming pool (10X5 m).
The house is situated on a small hill in the looks of country-side, it in 10 mn in feet of the historic center of Sarlat by taking a pedestrian path.
Dominant situation with a view of the surrounding hillsides. The house is isolated, turn of the screw in lived or of nuisance of neighborhood.
All shops are near.
The market of Sarlat, very renowned, takes place twice by weeks: a big market on Saturdays mornings and a market scoop on Wednesdays mornings. An ORGANIC market every Thursday from 6 PM, a market hall every day in season.
The region all around offers a big cultural wealth:
A lot of castles (Beynac, Castenaud and its museum of the war in the Middle Ages, the Milandes Joséphine Baker's ancient house, Commarque, Fénelon, Puymartin, Hautefort), manor houses, Prehistoric caves (Lascaux II, Font de Gaume, Abri du Cap Blanc), caves with concretions (Maxanges, Big Rock, Tourtoirac), abysses ( Proumeyssac), troglodytic cities (La Roque St-Christophe, La Madeleine), prehistoric parks (Conquil,Préhisto Parc, Thot, caves of the Rock of Cazelle).

Great stay for two weeks as a family with 3yr old and baby. Extensive grounds to front and rear of chalet (v private) and great pool (although the decking could be updated as we had a couple of splinter incidents!). Owner Severine v helpful throughout with some minor issues and was clear to highlight that no pool guard for our 3yr old at time of booking. Sarlat is a fairly steep but short walk away and beautiful (if touristy) old town.

The house is very striking and very comfortable and well-equipped. There is an extensive garden with lovely views and a very good swimming pool. It is about ten minutes' walk to the centre of town, along a pleasant footpath. Sarlat itself is an extremely attractive town.

Beautiful house in perfect situation; in a quiet garden on secluded hillside, not overlooked at all, but 10 minutes walk into Sarlat. House very well equipped, and pool one of the very best we have experienced.
The building is wonderful, almost apiece of art, with overlapping and interlocking timbers. We loved the open plan downstairs space
Very welcoming host, just a call away if there were any problems (which there weren't)
We were there with 4 adults and two children, 6 months and 3 years, and all enjoyed it; we would seriously consider going back, and strongly recommend to anyone else with the same combination
Downsides? Steep spiral staircase could be a problem with toddlers or the elderly, but not much else. Overall 5 star
