We had such wonderful stay here- there where 5of us and everyone had something that suited them. On arrival the host was extremely pleasant and whilst there was a language barrier we all managed to understand each other and she has leaflets to help. The ‘cottage’ itself was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a cosy rustic vibe that immediately had everyone starting to relax into the holiday. The space was well kept and clean. There was also a shared outdoor space which was great for my daughter as there were some other children there during our stay so she was able to play around with them in a safe space and there’s volleyball nets, trampolines etc plenty to entertain them. There was also a little boat that you could go on the pond with. The space at the front of the cottage had outdoor seating, sun loungers and a bbq. This was great for the evenings where we could sit at the bbq and chat with one another. The grounds are well maintained and lovely for a small walk in the mornings. Whilst it is out by itself (which aids in the peaceful quiet setting) you are not far from loads of different tourist attractions and grocery shopping by car. This place is perfect for anyone looking to get away from the rat race, reset and enjoy some peace. It is in a fab location where you can star gaze most evenings with a glass of wine. The pool is quite small if you had wanted to do lengths but it is a great size for a few people and or some small kids to keep an eye on them. 10/10

The property was bigger than we expected, the ensuites in all the bedrooms was not listed and a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately the lounge area seating wasn't great and meant we were left sitting on the dinning chairs.

This gite is perfect for families as well as adults only. Everything has been thought of when it comes to catering for young children. There are a number of outdoor activities provided, as well as an indoor pool. For security, young children can be allowed to roam the grounds, in the knowledge that they cannot escape the perimeter. There is also a fenced off area around the lake, as added security. There is even a rowing boat which visitors can use, together with life-jackets for the young children. The entire area is extremely peaceful, with supermarkets just 10mins away. Our 5 and 7 year old grandchildren loved Festyland in Caen (1 hour away). Also Bayeux is a lovely old town full of history, as well as the Bayeux Adventure Park which is fun for children and adults alike. Fantastic holiday!!

Had a lovely stay at this gite. The setting was beautiful, however the Wi-Fi never worked so cost us a lot of money using our data. Please note no bed linen unless arranged, no towels or even tea towels, so remember to take them or you will have to buy them. Well equipped kitchen, with large selection of plates, glasses, utensils and mugs. The ground floor of the property is a tiled floor, we found this quite cold, but we were there in May/June, you may want to consider taking slippers, next time we will. Lovely warm pool, with shower and toilet area, plus hosts we more than happy to let us swap slots if we needed to. The large pond, with moor hens and friendly ducks were the icing on the cake for me. Especially when they came for breakfast in the mornings. Well kept site and toys for the children to play with made it a very pleasant stay.

Arrived on a Sunny Day and was immediately wowed by how well presented and clean the place was. The pictures don’t do it justice. Lovely place to lick back and relax and watch the kids frim afar.

from the minute you drive up to the property you get a good feeling, the electric gates open to let you into the driveway past the lake up to a 300 year old property sympathetically renovated by the present owners who were very welcoming as you arrive. Our property part of the main house next to the indoor pool which was run on a rotor base with the other guests which worked out very well at 3 hours slots different every day which gave you the opertunity to plan your day differently every day,the inside of the property has every amenity in a modern French scene. The bedrooms were adequate but could have done with more power points and we would advise you to take a multiple extension lead for hair drier and curlers etc, etc, the only mirror for my wife to dress by was in the bathroom which did not really work for her. these are minor things for me but from a ladies point of view quite important. In the garden there is a badminton net and equipment, netball and ball, a la Boulle ? pit and a swing Geese wander around with a cockerel who is the boss but are very friendly and not at all vicious. The fishing was important to me but was a bit disappointed with the stocking levels and size of fish, it was good for kids with loads of small roach but the carp were few and far between up to about 2-3 pounds but i did catch a nice tench of about 3 pound, pellet and corn seamed to be the best bait. the local town was lovely with an evening market and a few nice bars one in particular very friendly a couple of shops along from the pizza and pasta restaurant which did great takeaways, and we did eat in on one occasion which was very nice. Overall our stay was lovely it is a good base for the beaches and Caen etc and would love to go back one day. Not to be missed the local cheese factory and ice cream parlor Absolutely lovely

Il fût agréable de rencontrer Stéphane et Virginie et l'histoire de leur gîte nous a passionnés et à ajouter une couche supplémentaire aux plaisirs que nous avons eu à séjourner à la Fosse aux Loups. l'accueil fût chaleureux et nous regrettons que ne puissions leur rendre visite plus souvent.

This is a fantastic property! There were 8 of us and we loved staying here. There was everything that we needed and the owner Virginie was very sweet and nice. The location was perfect for visiting the area of Normandy. We will definitely be back, but next time for a much longer stay. The property was so relaxing and beautiful!!!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The property is amazing with kids. They got to go boating, play tennis, pet the ducks and chickens, jump on the trampoline, go swimming in an indoor heated pool and swing on a tree swing while us adults enjoyed the outdoor seating area with grill. It was close to Omaha and Utah beaches and many other things in Normandy. The only reason I almost gave it 4 stars was because they do not provide towels not a single hand towel or anything in the entire house, so we were using our t-shirts to dry off with on the first night until we could get somewhere to get some! It would have been nice to know that before arrival. Also they do not provide bedsheets so be warned. The owner/caretaker and I believe her daughter were very very kind but we could not get in contact with them when we had questions about where the towels and bedsheets were. WiFi does work really work well there. Even with these downfalls I still rate it 5 stars because it was really a great place and we do plan to go back but will be sure to pack towels and sheets!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour au Manoir de la Fosses aux Loups. Accueil exemplaire de la propriétaire, d’une gentillesse extrême, remplie de petites intentions pour que les locataires se sentent au mieux. Les lieux sont très propres, très fonctionnels et décorés avec beaucoup de goût. Adresse a recommander les yeux fermés .

Une très agréable surprise dès notre arrivée et les "wahouuuu" qui s'enchainent dans la voiture quand le portail s'ouvre. Dans une région magnifique, ce gite l'est tout autant. Un site 4 étoiles, un accueil du même acabit, une communication préalable et des explications simples et claires, une disponibilité et une gentillesse à toute épreuve de Virginie, la maitresse des lieux, toujours disponible et gentille. Un gite très bien agencé, équipé, pratique, confortable et fonctionnel. Avec de tels arguments, nous ne pouvons que le recommander sans aucune hésitation. Une chose est sure : nous reviendrons car nous avons encore plein de choses à faire dans cette belle région.

Nous avions réservé pour passer Noël en famille et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Virginie est une hôte très agréable, elle nous a bien accueilli et nous à donner toutes les explications nécessaires sur la maison et les alentours pour passer un excellent séjour. Elle a été disponible avant et pendant le séjour. La maison est conforme aux photos, très bien équipé. Le petit plus à été la salle de jeux pour enfant, non mentionné dans l'annonce mais la joie de la découvrir en arrivant sur place. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte et remercions Virginie pour son accueil. Ursula et Sylvain

Séjour très agréable entre amis. Gite très bien situé pour visiter les vestiges de la seconde guerre mondiale. Gite très confortable pour 8 personnes avec salle de bain pour chaque chambre. Gentillesse des propriétaires à souligner. Seul petit bémol et qu'il faut prendre en compte: surplus d'électricité mentionné dans le contrat mais pas dans la description Abritel. En hiver ceci peut entraîner un surcout considérable en raison du chauffage car grande batisse et pas de volets pouvant isoler. Cependant le poêle peut être utilisé à volonté, on trouve facilement du bois autour. A recommander.

DAs Objekt ist sicher nicht billig, aber es ist es definitiv wert. Die Lage ist inländig und ohne Auto ist man völlig verloren, das ist aber auch das einzig etwas negative, was man sagen kann. Das Haus liegt und ist toll, der Swimmingpool war für die Kinder fantastisch. Die ganzen Kleinigkeiten machen es aus: Einen Begrüßungs-Cidre, eine Grillstelle mit allem drum und dran, ein (etwas klapperiges) Bötchen, jede Menge Kinderspielzeug und Ruhe im Überfluss.

La grandeur du site ou se trouve le gîte est grandiose avec un immense jardin et un grand etang privé super fun avec p'eins de canards... sympa fun aussi où ou on peut faire un petit tour en bateau.. Si le bateau était un peu plus comfortable on s isolerait a dormir au soleil :_).. Bien que l espace extérieur est super.. Il faut quand même faire attention avec les enfants, il y a une grande barrière qui entoure le jardin qui entoure l etang.. Les hôtes vous précisent bien des le départ que les enfants ne peuvent pas aller au-dessus de la barrière sans être accompagner. Il y a aussi un autre grand jardin plus securisant derrière le gîte très fun pour les enfants et les plus petits (avec trempoline, balançoire etc)..quand le soleil est au rendez vous il est au rendez vous partout...des transats sont localisés aussi bien devant que derrière le gîte, c est top ! Une piscine interierieure est dispo aussi.. Dans le gîte même il y a une petite salle de jeu pour les enfants.. Elle est petite mais très utile parfois.. Les chambres sont très biens et disposent chacune d une salle de bain individuelle très lumineuse.. Ce qui est très commode.. L espace de vie générale est OK..il y a deux grands fauteuils, une grande table avec une télé accroché au mur pour divertir les petits.. Et une cuisine avec tout ce qu il faut très bien equipe.. Il manque juste un peu d espace de rangement pour ses propres affaires (courses etc..) mais rien de vraiment contraignant.. Le seul bémol c est que la connection internet n est pas très bonne dans le gîte.. Il faut vraiment se déplacer dans le gîte à des endroits très stratégique pour avoir un peu d internet.. Près d une fenêtre.. Ou sortir à chaque fois à l exterieur...la chambre du dessus capte assez bien le WiFi il semblerait pour le reste c est la 4G et encore même ça cela ne fonctionne pas tj.. L emplacement du gîte est très bien, de nombreuses choses à voir à moins d une demie heure et à moins d une heure de routeven voiture .. La plages Utah et Omaha ne sont pas loin du gîte en voiture.. Virginie et Stephane les hôtes sont très sympas et très flexibles réactifs pour quelconques besoins lors de tout votre séjour.. Un gîte que l on recommande vraiment :-) :-) :-)

Bravo à Virginie et Stéphane pour la rénovation des gites ! Ils allient avec harmonie les pierres et traces de l'histoire et la modernité. C'est beau et on se sent s'y bien ! La piscine est la cerise sur le gâteau bien apprécié par nos ados ! Idéalement situés, nous pouvons visiter tous les grands sites et monuments relatifs au débarquement. Quelques jours de vacances dans ce logement pour 8 personnes, très agréable, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et avec tout le confort souhaité. Le logement est très spacieux, les chambres sont grandes et confortables, la pièce de vie spacieuse et conviviale. Même une salle de jeux pour les enfants ! La piscine est un vrai plus et très appréciée de tous. L'espace extérieur est tout aussi soigné avec goût, bien entretenu et s'y promener est fort appréciable. Mes enfants ont adoré nourrir les canards qui s'y promènent et eux semblaient apprécier également :-) Un grand merci à M. et Mme Soulier très sympathiques, à l'écoute et disponibles. Merci pour leurs conseils et bonnes adresses de restaurant et musées. Au plaisir de revenir....
