We chose this house initially because it was central for visiting the main attractions on the riviera. We found it was ideal for this and very peaceful to stay in. It had great views towards the mountains and sea. It was extremely well equipped and clean and comfortable. Access to beaches was a short drive away as was the airport yet the planes gave no disturbance to the tranquil location. The owners were very helpful and responsive. A car would be essential.

It's a nice small house perched on top of the hill, which affords beautiful panoramic views of the valley and Nice. The house is made in a traditional style and has everything required for a comfortable stay. One downside was the lack of air conditioning as temperatures were extremely hot reaching up to 40 degrees. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Les Citronniers which was a very good house from which to go to the Rugby World Cup 2023 matches in Nice! and to explore and holiday along the Riviera. The house was very clean, comfortable and well appointed and head excellent views of the mountains, countryside and coast. Our hosts who live nearby were very hospitable and helpful. Great place, lovely stay, amazing views

We had a lovely time and very much enjoyed our stay in the lovely villa. The views really are beyond compare! The area is steeped in history and Haute Cagnes was an amazing place to visit so close by with great restaurants. The beaches were easy to access with a car, but we walked down a couple of times (steep hill, be careful!) to Cagnes sur Mer, which had lovely places to see and visit. There were festivals, live music and fireworks very regularly and I could see there were lots of events shortly before and after we were there too - in short, there were great things on offer for everyone throughout the summer. Equipment and facilities in the villa itself were great too, with with one recommendation and a small concern. The recommendation is about no air conditioning and to be fair it wasn't listed as having it, but it was so uncomfortably hot at night, we think that the stay would be even better were it to be installed. The second issue was that the plunge pool was not cleaned regularly which meant we couldn't use it towards the middle of the second week. I have left 5 stars anyway since the whole experience was phenomenal and the areas to visit close by are so easy to get to and fantastic for our whole family. We'd book again without hesitation!

My wife and I are from New York City, and we spent nearly a week in Cagnes-sur-Mer at the home of Jeannine and Pierre in late May 2016. The home is beautiful - bright and airy, offering a good amount of space, nicely decorated. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the bed quite comfortable. The highlight of the home, for me, is the view from the porch - look to the left, Italian Alps; to the right, the Mediterranean. We spent some beautiful afternoons and evenings sitting on that porch, drinking delicious French wine and admiring the scenery. Cagnes-sur-Mer is an excellent little town. It has a great waterfront boardwalk, which is a nice place for a run or for a leisurely walk. There are some good restaurants there, too (again, great views)! Cagnes-sur-Mer also serves as the perfect home base for exploring the area. We took short drives to Nice, Monaco, and Cannes, as well as the small hill towns of Vence and St. Paul de Vence. Jeannine and Pierre were so nice and welcoming to us throughout our stay! Jeannine met us upon arrival, and provided us with a map and a tour of the home, along with her personal recommendations. Checking in and out was seamless and easy. They were also very responsive to our text messages and phone calls in advance of our arrival, and were flexible when we showed up about an hour late (thanks to some serious traffic on the way from St. Tropez!). I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the Cote d'Azur. We hope one day to return, and if we do, we hope we can stay at Chemin du Pain de Sucre! So good we stayed here twice

Excellent, well-equipped holiday accommodation in a great location with stunning views of the mountains and the sea. We returned this year having stayed in the property around the same time last year. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, Jeanine and Pierre, and they made us feel very much at home. With so many places still to visit in this beautiful and outstanding area of France, I'm sure we'll be back at Sugar Bread Road next year!

We had a lovely stay here in September and the owner (Jeanine) provided a baby cot and high chair, which came in very handy for our child. It was the perfect size Villa for us and having dinner on the terrace with that view was wonderful. It is a very clean villa with very good water pressure and hot water in the shower. We were happy with all of the kitchen utencils and pots/pans provided as well. It is only a short drive to the boulangerie and the beach. We would be happy to stay again next year! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Haus mit mediterranem Flair im Grünen und doch stadtnah, absolut ruhig und mit weiter Sicht bis zum Meer gelegen. Die Räume sind sauber, mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, für zwei Personen genau richtig. Die Matratzen sind sehr gut! Der vom übrigen Privatgarten abgetrennte Gästebereich mit Balkon, kleinem Rasenstück mit Zitronenbäumen und weiteren Pflanzen sowie Sitzgelegenheit vor dem Haus bietet Sonne fast den gesamten Tag. Von der angebauten zweiten Haushälfte sieht man praktisch nichts, alles ist blickdicht. Das Gastgeberehepaar ist freundlich und hat gute Tipps parat. Leider gibt es keinen Abstellplatz fürs Auto auf dem Gelände oder der Straßenseite des Ferienhauses, so dass wir unseren Plug In-Hybrid während des Aufenthaltes nicht am Haus mit Strom betanken konnten. Der Pool war Ende Mai bei Tagestemperaturen über 25 Grad leider noch nicht aufgestellt. Die Gastgeber boten uns freundlich ihren eigenen Pool im Garten schräg gegenüber an, aber das ist nicht dasselbe. Cagnes bietet alles: lebhafte bis mondäne Innenstadt mit Läden, Restaurants, Märkten und Veranstaltungen, die pittoreske Altstadt Haut de Cagnes und viele hundert Meter Kiesstrand, wo man – gerade in der Vorsaison – problemlos viel Platz (auch zum Parken!) findet. Auch das Hinterland hat zahlreiche schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Per Fahrrad empfiehlt sich die Radstrecke direkt am Meer. Vom Ferienhaus sind es circa 20 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zum Strand, allerdings durch ziemlich lebhaften Verkehr, und zurück geht es wieder steil hinauf ins ruhige Wohngebiet! Also haben wir doch meist das Auto genutzt. Ein abwechslungsreicher Urlaub in südlicher Atmosphäre – gerne wieder.

Très satisfait par la location. Propriétaires accueillants et disponibles. Location propre avec de nombreux équipements et commodités (cuisine équipée, lave linge, produits d'entretien, draps, serviettes, guides touristiques...). Rien ne manque pour un séjour en famille. Localisation dans un quartier calme avec très belle vue sur la mer et la montagne.

Pierre und Jeanine sind sehr nette und zuvorkommende Vermieter . Das Häuschen ist perfekt für 2 Leute. Wir haben es dort sehr genossen. Leider ein bisschen zu kurz. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, wenn man auch selbst mal kochen möchte. Wir werden bestimmt mal wieder kommen.

Das Ferienhaus bietet in super Lage einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Berge und das Meer. Im Haus selbst ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Selbst ein Kinderbett, Kindergeschirr und einen Hochstuhl wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Garten ist sehr schön mit einem Pool, der regelmäßigen gereinigt wird. Am Abend kann man im Garten die Sonne genießen, am Morgen dann auf dem Balkon. Die Vermieter Pierre und Jeanine waren super nett und jederzeit für uns da.

Nous avons séjourné à quatre dans cette charmante maison pendant une semaine, parfaitement située pour découvrir la côte d'Azur. On s'y sent tout de suite comme à la maison et l'accueil y est très chaleureux. Le calme, la terrasse avec vue sur la mer et la montagne sont très reposants, une voiture (parking très facile) est toutefois conseillée car les chemins et routes d'accès sont pentus.

Le Citronniers ist eine schöne, gut ausgestattete Fewo mit geräumiger Küche, gemütlichem Schlafraum und schönem Wohnraum, der als zweites Schlafzimmer genutzt werden kann. Vom großen Balkon hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf Berge und Meer. Die abwechslungsreiche Umgebung, das gebirgige Hinterland mit vielen pittoresken Orten und traumhafte Ausblicke aufs Meer haben uns fasziniert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch dank der liebenswürdigen Vermieter, und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt.

Das Haus ist wirklich wunderschön, genau wie beschrieben: herrlicher Blick vom Balkon und für unsere Kinder (4 und 7) war der Pool grandios. Der Garten ist liebevoll angelegt und die Ausstattung des Hauses wie bereits beschrieben sehr umfangreich. Die Vermieter waren super nett. Die Lage, abseits vom Trubel ist wunderschön, allerdings brauchten wir mit den Kindern immer ein Auto um zu den schönen Sandstränden zu kommen - und da war auch im Juni schon sehr viel Verkehr. Es gab allerdings immer ausreichend Parkplätze direkt am Strand. Insgesamt aber im Juni sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute wie zu Hause gefühlt - sicherlich auch dank dem sehr herzlichen Empfang von Jeanine und Pierre. Der einladende Garten mit schönen Zitronen- und Kumquats- Bäumen, die Terrasse mit Traumaussicht auf Berge und Meer und die tolle Ausstattung der Wohnung liessen keine Wünsche offen. Die Kinder haben jede Sekunde genossen, weil sie sich frei bewegen konnten und sowohl auf der Terrasse als auch im Garten spielen & herumtollen konnten.
