House with pool

The house is in a secluded woodland area about 5 mins drive from Turenne. It is spacious & well appointed. The teenagers had a great time in the pool and lounging about. The upstairs rooms are in two disjoint sections reached by separate stairs, so this property would particularly suit 2 families holidaying together. The nice cool master bedroom is on the ground floor. We were met by the very charming and helpful Christine & Bruno, who managed to show us round & communicate the essentials just fine despite our limited French. The area is packed full of things to do and you don't really need to travel the full length of the Dordogne valley to find activities. The furthest we went was the Vézère valley for canoeing and the famous caves at Lascaux. There is a good Wed & Sat morning market in nearby Martel and a much larger one in Brive on Sat & Tue, also well worth a visit. There is a Carrefour Hypermarket in Brive, easy to find on the junction with the main North-South road.
