Nice old world bali charm hotel. Friendly staff great food. Somewhere to retreat and chill.

The free breakfast was good, a choice of continental, Indonesian or American, plus you could pay for lots of extras. I often had muesli/granola with fruit and yogurt as extra. The restaurant, where we had many meals, overlooked the Sacred River and forest with amazing butterflies and there was a good choice of food which was reasonably priced. The pool was fantastic, a good size, and we often had it to ourselves. Our rooms were very spacious with a large ensuite bathroom, very near the pool. It was ideal for our family get together of 3 generations including a toddler. The flora was lush, the site quite large with a lovely ambience, very quiet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was no highchair at the restaurant, which would have been useful. Apart from that there was nothing we didn't like.

It was peaceful with beautiful gardens. Large room with ice cold air-conditioning.

When booking the description said it was ground level and had a balcony. It was neither. The room was on stilts with narrow, uneven steps that were very steep and full of termites. The paths to the room were also dangerous to navigate. Staff control the outside lighting so don't expect to have a great sleep because your room will look like daytime. Your room will smell like swap because of the fish ponds underneath. Food was limited and if you thought it was good the first time you ordered it, it will be nothing like it the next time. Staff are friendly and polite but really don't understand. Gazebo with no chairs to sit on. It's not really a river but rather an ankle deep stream and you get to watch the local neighbours bath naked in it and wash their clothes.
