About this villa rental

Over mountainous terrain but inside the village of Caimari at the same time, this superb house with private pool and capacity for 5 guests welcomes you.
The views from the property are superb. You can admire the centre of the village from the pool as well as the green fields, the mountains and even the sea. Imagine your days of rest swimming alone or basking in the sun on one of the 5 sun loungers, surrounded by the protected Tramuntana mountain range. The chlorine pool sizes 4 x 4 metres and has a water depth of 1.5 metres. It is placed at the right centre of the wonderful terrace with several levels, something that makes it quite special. In front of it, there is a fantastic attached terrace furnished with a table and chairs to enjoy your dinner alfresco and under the starry sky, with the only company of the lights of the village, an unforgettable experience!

The house is distributed over two tastefully decorated floors. The entrance hall leads to the dining room and the kitchen. The first one, has a Mallorcan style palpable in its natural stone walls and rustic furniture, which includes a large table with designer chairs to sit and eat together. After three steps and a large archway, we access the kitchen, equipped with rustic furniture, induction, oven, microwave and everything you will need to cook like at home. On this floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, as well as a separate bathroom with shower. Going upstairs we reach a beautiful living room, where you can watch satellite TV on the sofas, listen to music on the CD player or read a book in the rocking chair, accompanied by the scenery and the air conditioning. Here we have two further bedrooms, one with a double bed, a/c, space for a cot and highchair, and en-suite bathroom with shower. The other has a bunk bed and wardrobe. Five radiators and a separate laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board complete the equipment.

Caimari is a small and charming village located in the middle of the Tramuntana, which abounds in nature and features all you may need for your stay. Inca, a small town, is just 5 km from Caimari, where you will find larger stores and a variety of entertainment, apart from its traditional market street, that takes place every Thursday in the morning. The area is ideal for lovers of nature, hiking, trekking, cycling etc; Nearby there are various walking routes. And, of course, Caimari is very well known due to its production of olive oil since it has a great olive mill where the oil is elaborated with the olives of the area. A 30 minutes' drive takes you to the north coast and to lovely beaches like Playa de Muro and Puerto de Alcúdia.

You will find a space to store your bicycles and some tools in the property.

We had a wonderful stay with our toddler. We spent most mornings for breakfast and evenings for dinner on the rooftop, which has a beautiful view. Caimari is an absolutely stunning village. The bedrooms are all far apart from each other which makes it nice for when some group members sleep in while others get up early. The wifi was also great. There’s a small supermarket near by with fresh bread and veggies + fruit. We really enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave (: Before you visit, we recommend you make sure you don’t have a huge rental car so you can fit through the narrow roads. (; Next to that, we recommend to take out the garage from the beginning on, as residual waste is only collected 1 x week, this can be a bit tricky if you don’t want to leave the hosts with too much garbage upon your departure. Diapers were emptied every day though, so that’s amazing. Overall, we can really recommend to stay here!

I liked: A beautiful clean property in a delightful quiet village close to the mountains. Terraces perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation. Views over village outstanding. One of the best villas we have ever booked in 30 years of visiting Mallorca. I did not like: Nothing. Everything met or exceeded expectations. We would have no hesitation in rebooting this property.

This is a beautiful property, immaculately presented and in a stunning setting. We had a fabulous week here, thank you. To address some of the comments in other reviews, and add some details I'd have found useful before we went, here's some other notes I took: Despite other reviews to the contrary, you *can* park outside the house (the garage opposite is part of the property) although the village roads *are* very narrow and winding. Book a small hire-car if you can! 2 sets of towels are provided, for inside and pool use, and there is a drying rack outside the back door for swimming stuff. Initially we could only find 1 parasol at the house, but then found a second in the garage. We did need both as there isn't much shade in the garden. There are also beach umbrellas provided if you venture out to any beaches (we did this twice during the week). Inca has several large supermarkets, but the small supermarket in Caimari was fine for top-up shopping. We walked down every morning to buy fresh bread. The house TV has Movistar and we were able to find a few films in English to watch in the evenings, although navigating the system was a bit tricky! There is also a bookcase in the sitting room which contains a few English novels (plus lots of German ones!) in case you run out of poolside reading matter. There's a double bedroom on the ground floor, then another double upstairs, and a bedroom with bunk beds. All bedrooms have air conditioning, as does the sitting room (the kitchen-dining area does not, but we often ate up on the roof area - there were occasional wasps but it wasn't a big problem) We loved the barbecue provided and used it a few times during the week. Charcoal and lighters were at the property, and we also bought more. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pans and sharp knives.
