About this cottage rental

The cottage 'Les coteaux du Thil' is located in the heart of the Chalonnaise coast, on the wine route, in the village of Chenôves, in the 'hamlet of Thil'.
Ideally located between Buxy and Saint Gengoux le National, you can discover many tourist sites such as Cluny, Taisé, Brançion, Tournus, visit the vineyards of southern Burgundy.
Located 1500 m from the greenway, a secure track (old railway) connecting Chalon sur Saône to Macon, you can cycle, rollerblade, or simply walk while crossing charming villages as well as beautiful landscapes.
The house includes: a fully equipped American kitchen, 2 bedrooms with bathroom each, 1 large summer or winter veranda, located next to the cottage, with a breathtaking view of the valley, 1 private swimming pool.

A great location to enjoy the sounds of nature and admire the view of countryside. Location is wonderful for day trips into the smaller local villages, wine tourism and biking. There's an easy loop to walk around right there in the hamlet. The pool is a huge plus for those hot days and to enjoy with the family! As mentioned, you do have some stairs to access the house / kitchen but not a big deal. The table and chairs for meals outside plus the loungers were nice to have as well as the small BBQ. We enjoyed the "living" room which is more of a solarium that is not connected to the main part of the house, and could use a good cleaning of cobwebs. The ping pong table and board games kept us amused at night. The seating area itself could be a bit more comfortable for a family of 4. It's the only area to get together and hang out. The kitchen is well equipped and appliances were all there. Beds were comfortable and linens/towels clean. All in all we would happily stay again and thank our host for their hospitality!

We loved the quiet rural location with country walks and lovely views, not to mention the wine tasting. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The swimming pool was a good size for cooling down and fun for the kids. It was very clean and not chlorinated. On the down side, there is no real outdoor seating and dining area, the pool is separated from the house by a tarmac drive and the car must be parked out on the road. The gite is actually a duplex on the first and second floors, the ground floor is garages and a spa (not available for our use). This means any drinks and food have to be carried down the outside steps to the pool. A cleaning fee was also mentioned on check in but this is not clear on the HomeAway details. Despite the downsides, we did feel the gite was a lovely place to stay and would come back.

An excellent gite in the Cote Chalonnaise - well-equipped, comfortable, and stunning views from the games room and poolside. The owner, Laurence, is very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent - perfect for wine tourism and exploring the countryside. Merci!

Very friendly landlady. Good warm pool. Very convenient airconditioned bedroom. House clean and in perfect condition especially the wet areas. Location close to various small winevillages, nearby supermarkets etc
