We spent a fantastic week at La Grange. The property is beautifully appointed, spacious and well equipped. The lakeside setting is tranquil and we spent many hours just sitting on the patio taking in the view! A perfect place to relax, the property also is in a good location to explore the pretty villages and beautiful countryside, not to mention the Loire chateaux, in the area. A Carrefour is less than a 5 minute walk away which was extremely handy! Jaqueline and Patrick were wonderful hosts: hospitable, friendly and full of local knowledge. We would definitely come again and cannot recommend La Grange enough.

We absolutely loved our stay here and did not want to leave! Upon arrival Jaqueline and Patrick made us feel so welcome. Jacqueline showed us around the house, which has everything you could ever need, plus gave us lots of information about the area, and advised on things to do. I can speak a tiny tiny bit of French, but Jacqueline speaks good English, so we were able to communicate well.It's so relaxing here, whether you're sitting inside looking out over the lake, eating outside or wandering around the lake, you are surrounded by nature, beauty, and peace. It's so easy to relax here and switch off from the outside world, which is just what we needed.We cooked every day rather than eating out, and the kitchen had piece of dinner wear, cutlery and utensil you could ever need. We wouldn't hesitate to stay with Jacqueline and Patrick again, and we can't thank them enough for making our stay so wonderful.

Fabulously spacious and well equipped gite. Located directly next to a beautiful lake where we spent hours watching the rich local wildlife! So relaxing! You will never find hosts as welcoming and knowledgeable as Jacqueline and Patrick. Lots to see in this fascinating area of France, mostly just a 30 minute drive from the gite. Another bonus is the Carrefour supermarket just a couple of minute's walk around the corner! We loved our stay and hope to return!

We had a wonderful week exploring the Loire Valley vineyards and the occasional chateau and cathedral. Really loved coming home to the house to relax and enjoy the view over the pond and its abundant wildlife. Jacqueline and Patrick could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. So unusual in Europe to have so much space to breathe. Great private parking and an excellent grocery store a block away. Would love to return!

The location, cleanliness, tranquility and lovely patio with a view of the lake and all wildlife, it was an amazing stay, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Jacquline and Patrick were truly wonderful hosts, they couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our 10 night stay. I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil break in great surroundings.

We had a fantastic two weeks in this lovely part of France. The accommodation was spotless and spacious with everything needed for a quiet relaxing holiday. Jacqueline and Patrick were great hosts, recommending (and even booking) restaurants for us and suggesting places to visit. We can’t recommend La Grange highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Fabulous property in a tranquil location. Patrick and Jacqueline our hosts were available to help and offer guidance, with where to go and super restaurants etc. it was everything and more as described in the adverts, have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home, 5star plus, we will be returning.

We were made to feel welcome by the most friendly, warm and helpful owners. Nothing was too much when we requested assistance about restaurants and reservations, what and where to go for sightseeing etc The gite is in the most beautiful setting next to lake. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped. This is a gite well worth the visit and highly recommended

If you want a relaxing holiday in an amazing property in a beautiful part of France then this place is for you!! Jacqueline & Patrick are such lovely people giving you a really warm welcome to a holiday let they are so rightly proud of. A proper tour of the property showing you how everything works with a few lovely touches such as cherries & the best strawberry jam that I have ever tasted (homemade of course!) The cottage is very well equipped both inside and out and we really appreciated the new garden shade in the hot weather we had. If fishing is your thing (as it is in my husband's case) then you will not be disappointed. He caught numerous carp (grass, mirror etc.) the largest being 38.5lbs! We are missing our morning coffee on the terrace looking out at the lake and wildlife and hope to be back!!

From the patio table with adjustable sun shade to the huge bathroom with a walk in shower to the well equipped kitchen - its all there. Also, to be able to walk around a lake from your front door or just to sit and watch the Mallards and other wildlife were great bonuses to have in a holiday home. The location of this cottage gives you easy access to the whole semi circle of the Loire from Blois to Sancerre and its many interesting towns and chateaux. To be recommended.

The three of us have just returned home after a week in Jouy le Potier - We all had the most wonderful time, grateful thanks to Jacquline, Patrick and Charles for being fantastic hosts and fishing advisors!! Great weather, lots of lovely places to visit, time for relaxing, abundant wildlife to observe and last but not least fishing for my father! He was very pleased to have caught 30lb carp, his biggest fish ever! 🎣 Thank you Alec, Martin and Dawn

We are a family of 3 who stayed in hot August for 10 nights. Top 10 elements (in no particular order):1. The welcome. We arrived late (8pm ish) and Patrick and Jacqueline were lovely in their intro to the property. The honey, jam and figs were also lovely.2. The house is gorgeous. 3. The hosts are friendly, kind, available if you want them to be and just lovely!4. The lake is so peaceful. We seemed to spend hours looking at the view.5. Nature: lots of fish (huge carp!), birds, ducks, a wandering-through deer; many varieties of tree.6. The amenities in the house are exceptional, from an egg whisk to candles.7. The outside verandah area is plenty big enough with 2 seating areas and sun loungers.8. There are so many castles within a short drive!9. We loved Orleans and Blois. Patrick told us about the P R which was really easy to find and use to avoid parking prices in Orleans.10. The peace. It is a serene place to stay. The occasional revving engine down the main road can be easily ignored.Thank you Jacqueline and Patrick. We loved every aspect of our stay and would love to return next year sometime (and I wouldnt say that unless we really hoped it could happen!)S, J and A

We are a family of 3 who stayed in hot August for 10 nights. Top 10 elements (in no particular order): 1. The welcome. The gite is amazing, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. You have complete privacy overlooking the pond. (I called it a lake but apparently it's only a lake in France when by the mountains, however it takes 0.3 miles to walk round it!!) There is numerous wildlife to watch which is very relaxing. The outside space is also fabulous, a large patio with table, chairs, sun loungers and BBQ. The owners, Jaqueline and Patrick are lovely, very friendly and keen to ensure that you are enjoying your stay without being intrusive. They live on the site and are happy to help if you need any help or information. Luckily Jacqueline's English is very good as our French is basic!! We only used the downstairs space as there was just to two of us, however there is comfortable space for six. The kitchen is fully kitted out and the open plan aspect make it very light and airy. All the fixtures and fittings are to a very high standard and there is lovely attention to detail, e.g. the outside lighting, the velux windows. It is situated in a lovely area with many great places to visit near by. I would definitely recommend this gite. Merci beaucoup to Jaqueline and Patrick for a fabulous stay.

'La Grange de mon Pere' is a beautiful holiday let in lovely tranquil surroundings. From the terrace you have an uninterrupted view of the lake and its wildlife and not a single neighbour in site! The gite itself is spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed including thoughtful touches such as picnic blankets and insect repellant (which we didn't need!!). Jacquline and Patrick are the most kind and welcoming hosts - nothing is too much trouble for them yet their presence is discreet and unassuming. On our arrival there were fresh flowers in the kitchen and a welcome tray including fruit, biscuits and a pot of homemade jam. During our stay we enjoyed thoughtful gifts of vegetables from the garden. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'La Grange de mon Pere' and hope to return for another stay in years to come.

A beautiful place to stay

A lovely converted barn with its own small lake. We loved watching the wildlife in and around the lake, from the flying carp catching insects to the regular visits from a deer. And not forgetting the sitting tenants (a large family of ducks). The barn had everything we wanted for our stay and the very discreet owners (Jacqueline and Patrick) were on hand if anything was needed. We would have no hesitation staying again if/when we are in this part of France. There is plenty to do and see in the area. The Saturday Market at Beaugency was well worth a visit. Whilst the Parc Floral de La Source was not at its best (we were too late in the year for the irises) but it was still a very pleasant walk around the park. Slightly further afield we particularly enjoyed a trip to the Canal-Pont de Briare (a marvellous engineering feat) and the towns of Blois and Amboise are brimming with history and well worth a visit.

The gîte is very clean, light and modern. It's one of the best we've stayed at in the last 20 years. It's an excellent base to explore this area of the Loire. There are many chateaus to visit. Chambord is particularly spectacular. Orléans is a large city to look around and is only a short drive. We also visited Paris for the day. The zoo at Beauval with it's panda's is highly recommend. We love cycling in France and rode along the Loire and visited many of the local villages. Jacqueline and Patrick are wonderful hosts. They are very discreet yet helpful if you have questions about the area. The gifts of fruit and local honey on arrival went down a treat. We certainly recommend a visit and I know we will return again in the future.

Sikke en dejlig uge! Vi havde høje forventninger inden vi ankom, men alle forventninger blev indfriet og mere til. Husets beliggenhed med terrasse ud til privat sø, er helt fantastisk. Der er skinnende rent overalt og køkkenet er veludstyret. Værterne er meget gæstfrie og hjælpsomme, samtidig med at de er gode til at respektere vores privatliv. Vi kan på det varmeste anbefale huset. Billederne lyver ikke, det er virkelig så skønt som det ser ud. Vi kommer helt sikkert gerne tilbage.

Wer rund um Orleans die Loire Schlösser besuchen will und dabei noch in phantastischen Ambiente seine Abende und freie Zeit verbringen will, ist genau hier richtig. Jaquline und Patrick sind tolle Gastgeber, immer da und hilfsbereit und mit vielen guten Tips zu Hand. Abend oder tagsüber an dem Gewässer zu sitzen, die Tiere zu beobachten, dass bringt wirklich Erholung und Ruhe. Eine Woche ist für diesen Ort recht wenig, beim nächsten Mal würden wir Fahrräder mitbringen und einige Tage einfach an der Loire langfahren. Dieser Fluss hat es uns echt angetan. Also noch mal vielen Dank für alles an unsere Gastgeber und auf ein Wiedersehen irgendwann.

Un gîte propre et bien équipé; une ouverture sur un étang privé nous ont assuré que, beau ou mauvais temps, nous avons quand même pu passer un très bon moment et nous détendre. L'impression générale est : " superbe ! " L'accueil des hôtes est chaleureux, la disponibilité pendant le séjour est totale et attentionnée et dans le respect des précautions sanitaires. Une adresse appropriée à l'abri du COVID 19 L'équipement du logement est tout à fait satisfaisant. L'implantation extérieure est exceptionnelle, un étang privé avec une rive arborée et superbement entretenue et une faune très agréable à observer.

Chère Jacqueline, cher Patrick, malheureusement notre séjour à "La Grange de mon Père" est fini! Nous avons profité de la maison très, très jolie, de la tranquillité de la nature et de l'étang (nous aimerions porter l'étang et l'environ avec nous!:) ) et de observer les canard, les rangondins et les autres animaux! Nous avons fait aussi beaucoup des excursions: Chambord, La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, Paris, Beaugency, Meung-sur-Loire et le très, très joli Zooparc de Beauval. Et pour ne pas oublier: merci pour votre aimabilites et hospitalité, les renseignements pratique pour faire des excursions et manger un bon repas "A la Maison"! Nous espérons de revenir un jour!!

Das Haus und natürlich vor allem der Garten sind schöner, als es auf den Bildern wirkt! Der Garten ist riesengroß, eignet sich somit also perfekt zum Federball etc. spielen. Auch im Haus ist an alles gedacht. Der Eiswürfelbereiter hat uns bei heißem Wetter viele kühle Erfrischungen beschert. Jacqueline und Patrick sind unglaublich zuvorkommend und nett. Ob Salat, Zucchini oder frische Feigen: Jaqueline hat uns immer wieder eine kleine Freude bereitet. Außer einem Fernglas braucht man in diesem Urlaub nichts mehr, doch auch dafür ist im Haus gesorgt. Fischreiher, Enten, Schwäne, Fledermäuse und viele andere Tiere kann man hier, an diesem paradiesischen Ort, beobachten.

Wir waren begeistert vom Ferienhaus und dem Grundstück mit See. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, es fehlte nichts. Vielen Dank auch noch einmal an die freundlichen Vermieter, die uns auch umfangreiches Informationsmaterial über alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung zur Verfügung gestellt haben, es waren sehr schöne Wochen.

la grange de mon père est le lieu parfait pour aller visiter les châteaux de la Loire. La maison dispose de tout le comfort qu'on puisse s'imaginer. L'acceuil de Jacqueline et Patrick est vraiment chaleureux et il sont toujours disponibles pour donner des conseils pour les excursions et pour donner de bonnes adresses pour aller manger. Malgré le mauvais temps qu'on a eu on a passé des très bonnes vacances au bords de l'étang magnifique. Vraiment une adresse à recommander
