About this house rental
The Domaine de Matounet is a country house in the village of Bridoré, located in the heart of the Loire Valley and among the Loire castles, 15 km south of the charming royal town of Loches and also near the castle of Montraître.
Recently renovated into a long, narrow 18th-century house, typical of the region, this 100-square-meter country home features 3 bedrooms and a lovely 45-square-meter living room.
We can accommodate 8 people. You’ll appreciate its elevated garden (a large property on 5 hectares), the heated pool (in season) with a panoramic view of Bridoré Castle (a 14th-century medieval fortress among the castles of the Loire Valley). Also on the hotel grounds: a game room with ping-pong, foosball, a large selection of DVDs to borrow, a library, board games, toys for children, and mountain bikes available free of charge... 300 meters from the property, a large communal fishing pond, and a free tennis court. A hiking trail where you can go for walks or bike rides—peace and quiet guaranteed.
the medieval town of Loches, a royal city where King François I lived (numerous attractions and sights, weekly market), Beauval Zoo (40 km), Verneuil (4 km), the Villedieu golf courses (40 km), the La Roche-Posay spa resort (35 km), Futuroscope (1 hour), and the most famous castles of the Loire Valley.(Chenonceaux, Amboise, Le Clos Lucé, Montrombres, Azay-le-Rideau, Ussé, Cheverny). It is also 20 km from the Brenne Lakes and Haute Touche Park.

The property has a stunning view and a great scenery. but the houses are very soberly furnished. no TV, no sofa, no wardrobes in 2 of the 3 bedrooms.
no shower cubicle. in the kitchen there were very few tools. In the garden, there where no chairs or umbrella provided outside, only an uninviting picnic table

We had a wonderful holiday in this spacious gite. The pool was a big hit with the children and a perfect escape from the heat ! The location is set in acres of stunning scenery, yet you aren’t far from bakeries, butchers and supermarkets etc..
Local wine and produce is very good value and Relais Routiers close to the gite were superb for lunch, 4 courses including wine for just €13.
We would definitely recommend this gite for a relaxing family holiday and the owner Jean-David was such a helpful and friendly host.

Nous avons passés une nuit au sein du domaine et nous avons particulièrement appréciés.
Gîte calme, propre et la literie est confortable. Accueil de l'hôte fort sympathique avec l'histoire de la propriété. On a aimé !
Salle de jeux en prime pour faire une partie de tennis de table ;-)
Bref à réserver les yeux fermées
