Cottage with swimming pool (10x5).

We have just had a great week at Thenac. Our hosts Didier and Nathalie were very friendly and accommodating. It helped that they spoke good English. We rented the gite for two people and there was a lot of space including two dining areas in the cottage and an external table as shown in the photo. Everything in the Gite was as expected and looked just as in the photos.The weather was excellent do we eat all meals outside on the terrace. There was a bar-b-que available which we made good use of. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment! Dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer were all availableThere was a covered and private car parking area directly adjacent to the Gite so carrying bags to and from the car was minimal.We had the swimming Pool to ourselves and were surmised how big this was. We inevitably sept time in he afternoon around the pool.We were made to feel very welcome and it was sad to have to leave but we have no hesitation in recommending this property.

A lovely place to stay with a warm greeting from Nathalie and Didier. The home had everything we needed and was comfortable. The pool was clean and warm (26-27c Mid July). A nearby boulangerie was great for croissants and bread, supermarkets 10 mins away. With children you need to travel a bit (30mins ) to find the more family orientated activities. The coast is 30 mins away, but the nicest beaches 50mins away (Grand Cote and La Palmyre). We would definitely stay again if in the area.

A great location for exploring Saintes and the surrounding area, Saintes is a good sized town with plenty to see without feeling too big. Also pretty villages to see in every direction. The gite had everything we could need and the covered outside area was a lovely space to eat and relax. The pool was perfect and very well kept and very welcome in the August heat. Nathalie and Didier are great hosts, friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We'd definitely recommend this for a family holiday and would love to come back again.
