About this cottage rental
The cottage "L'Ecurie", recently renovated, is designed to accommodate up to 7 people. Quietly located in a charming village in the heart of Charente-Maritime, between Saintes / Royan / Marennes-Oléron, it is ideal for a family holiday.
Enjoy the quiet of the countryside and enjoy the many attractions
- Saintes 10 min and archaeological sites, Mecca of Saintonge, famous for its Romanesque churches,
- The coast 25 minutes with beaches (St Georges de Didonne, Royan, Ronce les Bains, the Wild Coast), cliffs (Meschers sur Gironde) and beautiful walks along the coastal path,
- The islands (Oléron, Aix, Ré)
- The estuary of the Gironde, its ports and villages (Talmont sur Gironde) leading to Blaye and Bordeaux (1h)
- The famous Cognac vineyards, distilleries and historic city,
- The fortified cities (Brouage, Rochefort and Hermione, La Rochelle)
- ...
The walks on the water will make you discover the wire of Charente, the famous Fort Boyard, the Estuary of the Gironde, the parks of Marennes / Oléron or the Green Venice.
Families will enjoy the Zoo of Palmyre (30 min), the Puy du Fou (2h), Futuroscope (1:30) or the aquarium of La Rochelle (1 hour).
In a family setting, Claude, Bruno and their children welcome you in an independent house of 100 sqm, with floor.
On the ground floor living room of about 50 m²:
- Fully equipped kitchen: fridge-freezer, gas cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster;
- Seating area with sofas, TV;
- Shower room with washing machine;
- Separate toilet.
Upstairs :
- 1 bedroom with bed 140, sheets provided, and open shower room;
- 1 bedroom with bed 140, sheets provided;
- 1 bedroom with 3 twin beds. Possible additional sleeping child on request;

We had a lovely time - Bruno and Claude were very helpful and on hand at all times. The house was lovely and clean with all the amenities needed. My only comment is that we didn't have any towels (hand or bath towels) which would have been nice but we would definitely return. Football nets and ping pong were also a great added extra.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans notre gîte
Nos hôtes et surtout Bruno à été toute la semaine à notre écoute et très attentionné
Nous avons pu partager de très bons moments de convivialité avec les autres locataires et une très belle soirée barbecue
Je recommande cette location et nous y reviendrons
