About this house rental

East Side Cove is a retro-style ranch home with lots to offer! Get cozy with a book in the sunroom, have lunch at the picnic table on the outdoor deck, enjoy cocktails down on the dock, play games on the lawn, or take a kayak out into the cove. This home even has an outdoor shower! The tidal waterfront presents an ever-changing picturesque view at the head of the harbor. Pets are accepted at the owner`s discretion with a $100 pet fee. The sunroom is a unique space with screens to let the ocean breeze in and ceiling shades if the sun gets too hot. The back deck has a picnic table and gas grill for outdoor barbecuing. You will also find an outdoor shower and a dock overlooking the tidal waterfront. The dock space can be a great spot for enjoying the sun or late afternoon cocktails. The house features one floor living with an open kitchen/dining area, a separate living room, 3 bedrooms, and one full bath. Guests have access to the basement and laundry.

Walk across the footbridge and you are in the center of Boothbay Harbor. Less than a mile away and only a 2-minute drive is Barrett Park. It offers plenty of green space and little beaches, walking trails, and picnic spots.

Check out the Boothbay Lobster Wharf only 1/2 mile away where you call and order your cooked lobsters or pick them up live to take back home with you.

Boothbay Harbor is known as the boating capital of Maine, and was named as one of Yachting Magazine`s `50 Best Towns`. Boasted as `the soul of the coast,` our picturesque harbor offers guests all the amenities of a bustling waterfront. The area`s rocky coastline speckled with lighthouses, coves, inlets, and islands make it a memorable vacation destination. We are home to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, rated #1 in the country by Trip Advisor, and the newly renovated golf course at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club. From your East Side Cove vacation retreat, you can walk across the footbridge to the center of town and check out the shops or take a boat tour to Burnt Island, go whale watching, or take a sail.

This property books Friday to Friday and a minimum of 7 nights always.

Guests have access to the entire home and yard with the exception of one closet.

We are available 24/7 during your stay. Upon arrival, Wendy or Judy will meet you at the house to transfer keys and answer any questions you may have.

East Side Cove is within walking distance of several endearing restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is also conveniently located next to a scenic footbridge that takes you across the harbor to the center of Boothbay Harbor where you can enjoy boutiques, boat excursions, more restaurants, ice cream, and saltwater taffy.

East Side Cove offers plenty of parking and the footbridge allows for you to avoid the hassle of finding a parking space in town. There is also a free trolley on the west side of the harbor that takes you around town.

Cancellation Policy: If the Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation any amounts paid by the Guest will be refunded (less any credit card fees incurred) as follows:

100% if canceled prior to or on date six (6) months prior to Check-in Date
50% if canceled after six (6) months and before or three (3) months prior to Check-in Date.
0% if canceled after three (3) months prior to Check-in Date

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of Guests allowed in Premises is 6. If this number is exceeded without prior approval from the Property Manager, the Guest will forfeit the security deposit and the Property Manager may cancel the agreement without further notice. No subletting is allowed for others.

Linens: Sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets are provided with this rental.

Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside or on the grounds of this property.

Pets: No pets are allowed without prior approval from the Property Manager.

Noise: No parties are allowed on the Premises. No loud noises are permitted outdoors between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Supplies: An initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and cleaning items will be supplied.

Trash: If Guest`s needs exceed a weekly trash pickup, please contact Property Manager.

Arrival and Departure: Check-in time is 4:00 pm or later. Check-out time is 10:00 am. Property Manager will meet you upon arrival and give Guest a house tour and keys. Keys are to be locked inside the house upon check-out. There is a fee for late check-out unless prior arrangements have been made.

Departure and Cleaning: Please leave the house as you found it. Dirty linens should be placed in a pile in one bathroom or laundry room. Dishes should be cleaned or placed in the dishwasher and run. Please take all food out of the refrigerator and put bagged trash in the bins provided. The house will be thoroughly cleaned before and after your stay. Housekeeping duties during the rental are the responsibility of the Guest.

After booking, you’ll receive a message prompting you to complete a short verification process through our guest portal, powered by Enso Connect. As part of this step, you’ll have the option to either purchase a low-cost damage waiver or provide a refundable security deposit. This is required to finalize your reservation and helps protect both you and the property during your stay.

IMPORTANT:
To ensure peace of mind during your stay, we offer two options for damage protection: a small, one-time non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver (our most convenient and guest-preferred option) or a fully refundable Security Deposit, returned after your stay if no damage is reported. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be prompted to complete this step.
Courtesy quiet hours start at 10 p.m. per local ordinance.
Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the property.

From the moment of our arrival (personal greeting and walk through) felt very welcome and comfy. Our three kids, dog and us loved staying here. Plenty to do inside and outside the house. Very clean.

This clean, spacious home offers many bonus features and is within walking distance to so much! Most days we didn’t touch the car. Plenty of room for the family to spread out too. A few of our favorite things- We loved watching the harbor wake up every morning from the sunroom. Kayaking about the harbor was so fun- be aware of the tides before you head out. Walking the footbridge to great restaurants, shops. Our pups enjoyed exploring the shallow tidal waters! We would absolutely stay again. This place is a gem!

This property is in a great location with a great view of Boothbay Harbor & is clean. The home needs updating. The queen bed was very uncomfortable as was the living room sofa. Both sagged. The kitchen dishes & pots & pans are quite old & need to be cleaned out & updated. The carpet needs to be replaced. The 1/2 bath is a toilet only in the basement in a dark part of the old basement with no light. Nice washer & dryer but located in the old/dated basement with steep stairs. We made the decision to leave the rental 2 nights early to be able to get some comfortable sleep. The bathroom was updated 7 years ago per the family owner & it was fine. We originally rented for 11 days and it’s probably fine for a long weekend but was not comfortable for a longer stay. The enclosed porch was a favorite place for us to relax & read. We were grateful the home is dog friendly. This property will be great just by updating the furniture, cleaning out the kitchen cupboards & replacing the dishes, glassware & pots & pans, replacing the queen mattress & sofa, a fresh paint job, adding a half bath on the main level & moving the washer & dryer upstairs.The rental company team were great to work with throughout the process. We would absolutely rent this property again with the changes we’ve recommended. But sleeping comfortably is an absolute must, especially for the price we paid.
