Pettirossu ★★★★ Superior Villa

The website is a bit misleading, as it shows views of several apartments. The one we stayed in is the first one in the sequence. It did have a nice view and the grill was serviceable. However, the only dining table was an outdoor one and the mosquitoes and wasps made it difficult to enjoy. If you ate inside, the breakfast bar was your only option. The interior decoration was minimalist; there were several Italian posters of West Side Story in the 1960's and that was it. The lighting was poor. Overall, the interior was pretty spartan. The apartment is well located and it's just a short walk to a good swimming beach.

We enjoyed our stay very much!

We stayed a week with our two children. The property is well cared for, clean and very comfortable. The deck in front of the house has a table under cover for meals and hanging out after a day of exploring. The bathroom is very large and has a wonderful walk in shower. The beds are all comfortable. The pool was an added plus (particularly when traveling with children). A short road across the street from the property leads to one of the best beaches I have ever been on. To the right is a sandy beach. To the left is a rockier beach, which is great for snorkeling. The beach was never crowded and on several occasions we had the beach to ourselves. The water is crystal clear and deep, but the currents are not threatening. My children were able to stay in the water for hours without issue. I would rate the beach one of the most beautiful we have ever had the opportunity to be on. A short way down the road to the right are three restaurants on the water. All three are excellent. Propriano, which is 15 minutes away to the left, also has a large number of excellent restaurants. Finally, the location is very convenient. We were able to visit Ajaccio, Bonifacio, Sartene and Compomoro with ease. We would highly recommend booking a stay here!
