I can't say enough great things about the house, the location, and the kind hosts. We stayed about 7 weeks. It was myself, my wife, and my father-in-law who is over 80. We discovered a new hobby - collecting beach glass! Naturally, over such a long time a few issues come about like a failed dryer but the host was ultra-fast as fixing it, great communication. The neighbor is the local contact - Mrs. Lavergne and her husband, she speaks good english and was able to assist with several things really outside the boundaries of a host's responsibility and we are very appreciative of their kindness. The stairs are a bit tricky, but my father-in-law was able to do them - if slowly! It was very nice having a ground-level second bathroom - especially for him. The enclosed rear patio was really nice, and incuded a nice small shed which was perfect to keep our bikes out of the way. It was perfectly clean, all amenities that we would want, very accurate description. In my opinion, you can't do better.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is ideal for a family of four. Our kids (17 and 13 years old) had each their own room. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it frequently. Barfleur is well situated for excursions to many interesting places nearby. The best beach bar of the country is just 15 minutes away: „Le Goeland 1951“ in Reville. We will definitively come back!

This house was so charming and fit our family well. We rented three apartments in Barfleur while we were there for D-Day, and we got the best accommodations of the three. We were able to host extended family for dinners because of the spacious, well-equipped kitchen and common area. The house is as lovely in person as it is in the photos. The neighbor helped us get settled and answered questions throughout the week for us. Jerome returned communication quickly. We would stay here again and strongly recommend the house, especially to families.

Great location. Very modern interior, tastefully renovated. Everything we needed and so close to the harbour. We didn't need to use the top floor, which was small and access was precarious. A lovely place to spend a week. We ate the The Maree, which was excellent and good value. English was spoken, which helped us and them. Lovely area of France, I expect we will return.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour familial dans cette belle maison de pêcheur entièrement rénovée. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse extérieure où nous avons pu déjeuner à l’abri du vent. Un vrai plus! L’équipement est complet, l’accueil parfait! La maison est à proximité du port, des magasins… bref un excellent séjour! Un beau souvenir!

La maison est située tout près du petit port charmant de Barfleur. Il y a la possibilité (réelle!) de loger 2 couples et 3 personnes. Rien ne manque dans la cuisine. Pour les beaux jours il y a une terrasse aménagée derrière la maison. C'est très calme et l'accueil a été très chaleureux.

Ein hübsches gemütliches Ferienhaus mit perfekter direkter Lage am Hafen.alles vorhanden, was man braucht . Ein zusätzlicher Spiegel im Haus wäre praktisch, wenn man zu mehreren Personen reist. Kontakt mit dem Vermieter, Bezahlung , Check in und Check out unkompliziert. Sehr nette Vermieter und Betreuung vor Ort . Wir waren in der Woche vor Ostern zu die meisten Restaurants waren noch geschlossen. Das Restaurant Moule et Frites hatte geöffnet und wir waren sowohl mit Essen und Service sehr zufrieden. Wenn wir erneut in die Gegend reisen, würden wir dieses Haus sofort wieder buchen.

Très belle location à BARFLEUR, décorée avec goût et située face au port, proche des commerces Très calme (nous y sommes allés en mai en dehors des vacances scolaires) l'accueil est fort sympathique. le coin est magnifique, on peut faire de grandes ballades, la mer est bleue turquoise !! si vous êtes chanceux vous pourrez voir des phoques !

Een heerlijke week in een comfortabel huis in idyllisch Barfleur

Gezellig vakantiehuisje in vissersdorp Barfleur. Erg gezellig huisje in een zijstraat in het centrum van Barfleur. Een levendig frans vissersdorpje een uur rijden vanaf Omaha beach. Vlak bij de haven, bakkerij, café’s en restaurant, alles binnen enkele minuten lopen. Net buiten Barfleur een supermarkt met tankstation, kortom van alle gemakken voorzien. Het is een praktisch en gezellig ingericht huis met voldoende ruimte voor 5 a 6 personen. Achter het huis is een kleine, maar sfeervolle binnenplaats. Prima bedden, boven en beneden een WC, etc. Wij vonden het met het gezin heel leuk dat je naar de haven loopt, de kinderen spelen op de rotsen of je drinkt een kop koffie in het café de Paris. Wij hebben erg genoten van de vele musea en bezienswaardigheden in deze omgeving: Ste Mere Eglise en Utah beach is half uur rijden, Omaha beach, Overlord museum circa een uur rijden. Verder Ile Tatihou met amfibie voertuig, er is van alles te doen, we komen er graag nog een keer terug.

Maison très bien rénovée et très accueillante. La pièce à vivre est très agréable, avec la vue sur le joli patio. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Les 2 chambres du premier étage sont grandes et disposent de nombreux rangements. La chambre sous les toits est plus petite mais agréable. Quelques belles balades à faire depuis la maison, toute proche du port de pêche. Très bons contacts avec les habitants du village.

Direkt am Hafen liegt das liebevoll und vollständig eingerichtete Haus. Es gibt außer Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Trockner, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, WLAN, TV und Radio/CD/Dockingstation auch ein Induktionskochfeld und - scharfe Küchenmesser! (Scharfe Küchenmesser sind in Ferienhäusern ja eigentlich nie zu finden, deswegen erwähne ich es extra... Toll!) Mit den Gastgebern gab es vor und während des Aufenthalts eine tolle Kommunikation - freundlich, hilfreich und schnell. Auch der Empfang durch die Hilfe vor Ort war sehr freundlich, souverän und entspannt. Du kommst an und bist zuhause. Die Betten sind super - nicht zu weich, nicht zu hart. Und: Die Ruhe! Man hört absolut nichts, obwohl der zentrale Platz mit einer Bar und der Hafen direkt nebenan sind. Und weil das gerade deutschen Reisenden immer so wichtig ist: Alles ist bis in den hintersten Winkel supersauber. :) Kurz: Ein perfekter Platz für erholsame Tage und Wochen. Wir sind froh, dieses Haus gefunden zu haben, und kommen gerne wieder.
