Beautiful old typical house, magnificent view, very quiet location

Beautiful surroundings! Gerard and his wife are great hosts. Super friendly!

The house was very old and had many lovely original features which added to its charm. The location was quiet set amongst wooded landscape providing a perfect get away for those escaping the hustle and bustle of a busy life. There were some negatives to the property though - it needed to be kept in better order with a thorough clean to remove dust, cobwebs and dirt which was clearly visible all around the house. Also, the kitchen for those who wanted to cook was problematic as it provided a very poor range of cooking equipment. A battered range of saucepans with odd fitting lids had clearly seen better days - burnt black pan insides and broken saucepan lid handle replaced by a piece of string. Some adjustments to this property would certainly be beneficial.
