Lori Margariti Sea View Flat

I visit Thessaloniki regularly, at least once a year, and I've stayed in several places around that area - the city centre - and this is definitely my favourite so far! It's a lovely bright flat on the top of the block of flats, 6th floor, with a balcony that has stunning views of the city and the sea. It is very spacious for an individual / couple and just as fine for two friends (as we were) when the other person can sleep in the sofa bed in the living room and the flat is just as spacious too. Very comfortable bed / mattress, very well-equipped, modern bathroom, and a very clean flat. You have literally right at your doorstep several - great restaurants, cafes, bars, you are 1 min away from the seafront and there are two supermarkets just across the street. The host was very friendly and willing to respond to all our queries by messaging within only a few hours. We had a great time and I am definitely returning to this flat next time I'm in town!

There was nothing we 'disliked'. People need to be mindful of the fact that there is a rather old-school narrow small lift that takes you up to the 6th floor if you carry large luggage.. Perhaps some net curtains would be great so that flats across the street do not see what you do in the flat. They're not that close, but just saying. It was a bit tricky using the intercom to allow people in from the downstairs main entrance so some clear instructions on how to use the panel to the right of the flat entrance would also be helpful. Honestly though, these are tiny details rather than anything serious to report about.

Very good location a block from the waterfront. While browsing for locations, I had read many reviews for other locations complaining of evening noise, but this location did not have such reviews and indeed noise was no issue. The building is old, but when you enter the apartment it is like stepping into a very modern place. Loved the one-bedroom, living spaces, kitchen and laundry washer. Many restaurants and a good grocery store just outside the entrance. Loved the large patio and sea view off the end. This place is a winner.

Small stuff. Had a few challenges figuring out the AC, washer and stove but got past those. Maybe some additional translation/ instructions might help. Would also like to have a box of facial tissue available.

Central location, spacious apartment.

The apartment was advertised as having a sea view, but this was misleading. Our view was actually of the balconies of other apartments in a square, with no sea visible at all. The windows were made of frosted or misted glass, so we could not properly see outside unless they were opened fully. While this may have been for privacy, it meant we were unable to enjoy any kind of view from inside the flat. This was very disappointing, as the “sea view” was one of the main reasons we booked this apartment.

It was everything we hoped for! Beautiful, clean and in the centre of a wonderful city! When we return, it's going to be in Lori Margariti Sea Vire Flat!
