BEAUTIFUL BRIGHT APARTMENT - 3 stars - 3 BALCONIES - FARMED GARAGE - WIFI (Fiber)

A lovely apartment with everything required for a comfortable stay, Nelly and Herve the owners met us on arrival and gave us a detailed handover, unfortunately we didn’t get to use it but the apartment also came with use of a beech hut which would be a great touch for a family!

We had a good time there. Very clean rooms, facility and friendly host.

My family of four chose this property for a visit to the Memorial Service of the D-Day 75th Anniversary. It was a convenient and quiet location for us to relax. We were disappointed to find that there were no linens or towels provided as stated in the listing. That first night we had to drive to Caen to IKEA to get necessary items for a three night stay. I went back and did find one line in our reservation acceptance email that stated linens could be rented for 40 Euros, but this was never mentioned in correspondence with the owner, and I never asked because the listing stated they were included. An inconvenience, but we managed. The home also did not have wifi as stated in the VRBO listing, and when we asked how to connect to wifi, we were told the house had 4G, but no wifi. This unit is one of many within the larger structure, just so you are aware. I was under the impression that it was a stand alone house. That was no big issue except we did hear our neighbors rather late one evening. Be sure you bring a check with you to leave as a deposit upon check-in. Even with insurance coverage, we ended up having to give the owner 400 Euros in cash as a deposit, which was promptly returned to us upon check-out. Had we brought a check with us from the US, it would have saved time of going to the bank and having to have the owner meet us for check-out. Be prepared with Google translate if you do not speak or understand French. This was the only way we could communicate, and it worked well. Just be prepared if you are not a French speaker. Overall, I would stay there again if I were to be in that same area at the same time frame. It was a good value for the price paid and again was a very convenient location. Very nice and courteous owners to work with. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour en famille dans ce bel appartement très bien situé à Houlgate. Proche de tout et très calme. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Appartement très confortable et propre. Nous avons apprécié sa localisation : suffisamment proche des centres d'intérêt (bord de mer, espaces de jeux pour enfants ou commerces) pour se faire toujours à pied, et en même temps face à un paysage végétal très reposant.

Merci à Nelly la propriétaire qui a été super arrangeante avec nous, ce qui nous a permis de passer un superbe séjour à la mer, ce dont nous avions grandement besoin par les temps qui courent. Merci également à son fils, très sympa, pour l'accueil et le départ. Appartement spacieux, lumineux, de grandes terrasses avec vue sur un grand pré avec des chevaux. Mention spéciale pour tout le matériel (lit parapluie, chaise haute, rehausseur, table à langer...) et les jeux laissés pour les enfants en bas âges, c'était top et très pratique pour ne pas voyager surchargés ! Emplacement très bien également, tout Houlgate se fait facilement à pieds : la mer, les commerces, le marché... Bref, vraiment enchantés par notre voyage, merci encore :) Audrey, Roméo et Franck
