Recently renovated with taste to welcome meetings of family or friends, L'ATELIER is a barn of character in old stones of country and traditional ceilings of beams of oak, between the caves of Lascaux and Sarlat, in the heart of the Valley of the Dordogne!
Fully equipped kitchen Bungalow offers all the amenities to live and live well in Perigord! A large refrigerator, freezer, hot-air oven, 4 hobs, a dishwasher and a washing machine, a microwave oven, SENSEO coffee maker, toaster, food processor, kettle, juicer and many utensils (pans, pressure cooker, pressure cooker, glasses, nonstick pans, raclette etc ...)
On the ground floor, a first master suite, offers the comfort of a 140 bed and a walk-in shower multi-jets, mud. The W. C. are separated.
The living room and dining room have maintained their great stone walls, giving it a charm. Bright, it has a cathedral ceiling.
The large living room offers a leather corner sofa, a home theater, a 107 cm plasma screen, a library, a bioethanol fireplace.
Upstairs: one second master suite, decorated with limed oak beams and stone niches, is in a more romantic and retro style.
Parquet floor, this large room features a large dressing room, a king size bed, dressing table and a bathroom with a claw foot tub and a subway tiles. You will find the quiet as expected, the head under the stars!
A mezzanine offers a small lounge a large toy box for family sharing moments ...

The gîte was more or less as described but the main issue was no wifi at all which with 2 teenagers was a problem. The garden furniture shown in the website pictures was not there, only metal chairs which were too low for the glass top outdoor dining table. The games room pictured was also not as shown, no pool table and no air conditioning which is also mentioned in the description and would have been welcome considering it reached 41 degrees. Pool was lovely and well maintained. Access to the gîte could be an issue for anyone with a wide car. We parked mostly on the public road. Location is good, 5 minutes walk into the town but a steep hill to climb on the way back.

We had an overall good stay at this property. Its in a good location with a nice pool.
The slight issue we had was the upstairs toilet was inoperative. This was not mentioned when the owner showed us round and no attempt was made to rectify it while we were there. We would not have booked the property if we had known this.
I contacted Vrbo about this issue when we returned and they were extremely unhelpful saying this was for us to sort with the host.
We won't be using Vrbo again after this experience
