Named after hollyhocks growing in the garden. This comfortable single storey house offers two bedrooms.
there is a garden and a terrace for outdoor dining or barbecues.
Easy walking distance to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, the market, as well as public transportation. Ideal for a family, or one or two couples.
Enjoy the beach any time of the day or evening. No need to squeeze on the beaches of Meschers, there are four accessible on foot.
Single storey house of around 45m2 - colorfully decorated.
A double bedroom (140cm bed) for a baby bed:
Second bedroom two single beds. Possible to put a baby bed and a single bed.
Sunny living room with tnt.
Free WiFi.
Fitted kitchen area - oven, fridge / freezer, microwave etc.
Bathroom with shower cubicle. 2 wcs.
Small garden with lounge chairs, bbq, etc.
Small garage with washing machine, bicycle parking where you can park a small car.
Ideal for your hikes, with charming walks through pine forests to Plage de Suzac or St. George of Didonne.

The historic sites of Romanesque, archaeological churches (Le Fa) and troglodytes (Matata, Régulus). Talmont, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Country of seafood, nearby, the oysters of Marennes Oléron (to be visited).
Casino and for your evening parties, night bar and nightclub club in Royan 12 km
For the day out - Saintes, La Rochelle, Cognac, Rochefort.

Deposit of 350 euros (not cashed) to be given on arrival.

Situated in the lovely seaside town of Meschers sur Gironde, near Royan, our self-catering holiday home sleeps 4 + cot. Great for a family or couples.
Single storey gite, decorated in sunshine colors. Two bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin, space for a cot. Bed linen and towels included. Our self-catering gite has an equipped kitchen.
UK free serve tv and French tv channels. Free WIFI.
There is a small sunny garden with BBQ, table / chairs and sun loungers. Enjoy a glass of local pineau and al fresco eating.
Ideally located at 10 minutes walk to sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast.
Self catering couldn't be easier with all the town center shops in 5 minutes walk - Super market, bakeries, butchers. Daily fresh produce market in the summer (5 times a week all other months) - fresh fish for the bbq, Charentaise melons and cheeses.
Leave the car and walk to restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaways. Over 20 in a 20 minute walking radius, including two beach bar restaurants, often with live music.
Super location, enjoy the beach whenever you want to, swim, build sandcastles, sunbathing, rock pooling, sailing lessons.
Near Royan, Meschers' pretty town center, popular with French holiday makers, has banks, chemist, tourist office etc. Enjoy wine tastings, the pleasure port, boat rides, fishing, sailing or walk in the pine forests.
Leave the car at the house, there is plenty to do on foot or using local buses.
A short drive for surfing, windsurf, horse riding, tree adventure park, vineyard visits and more beaches. The interesting town of Royan is a 10 minute drive (train station). The zoo at La Palmyre, golf and 'la cote savage' (wild coast) are within half an hour's drive.
Days out to chic La Rochelle, Cognac distilleries, Romanesque Saintes, Bordeaux vineyards and shopping, Venise Verte for punting, fantastic Futurascope near Poitiers or Puy de Fou theme park.
Other Activities: Sailing lessons -adult and children, kid's beach club, bowling alley with play area all at Meschers. Tree adventure park, quad biking, go-karting, paint ball. Indoor swimming pools at Saujon and Royan, Large indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex at Saintes, plus a heated sea water swimming pool at Royan. There is loads to do in this area, if you want to anything more than just relax.
NB: There is a walking right of passage across the terrance (not the garden) for the 2 bedroomed flat next door. This is no different to many gite complexes, but we think you should be aware of this before booking.

we enjoyed our stay in this very nice property - the garden is delightful and as it was an extremely hot week we appreciated the lovely shade from the tree. Everything is nearby and it was great not to have to use the car.

Perfect for the two of us both needing our own rooms. Nice and cool in the heat. Lovely garden for sitting out in late afternoon. Helpful hostess! Great location for visiting Meschers-sur-Gironde, Les Grottes, Talmont-sur-Gironde and Mornac-sur-Seudre. Delightful! Thank you Shelley!

This simple little house, very much in keeping with the French style, is at the centre of a charming, friendly old village and is perfect for couples. The sea, cliff walks, beaches, excellent cafes and shops are all within easy walking distance. The smarter restaurants at the port end of the village are a longer walk or short drive away. The walks and cycle paths are beautiful, accessible and there are lots of nearby villages with fascinating history. The wildlife in the surrounding salt marshes is amazing for all nature lovers.
We enjoyed a great, peaceful holiday at the cottage and the very helpful property manager is easily contactable if needed.
