Authentic and comfortable house with heated indoor pool (from April to November)

The house was lovely and very comfortable.The garden area and pool were very pleasant.The instructions for arrival at the site need an update.,,,very confusing and hard to understand.

Fantastic property. The location and facilities are 1st class. Staying for 2 weeks inJuly, the pool was well used and the option to have it covered when we had a couple of storms allowed the kids to enjoy it everyday. The rooms are very comfortable with aircon in the 2 tower rooms. The nearby towns, villages & cities were stunning and well worth a visit. The snack bar at the end of the garden next to the Dordogne was great and visited on numerous times. A fabulous stay and well worth a visit.

The house was spacious and comfortable, and the pool was great. The location was a convenient walk into a small town for breakfast or necessities or a short drive to Domme. We loved being so close to the river. Despite the heat, the house stayed cool and the AC in the tower rooms worked great.

We had a wonderful week at this French farmhouse for a family reunion including 4 families with children and grandparents (total 10 adults and 8 children aged 6 - 12). Enough bedrooms for each couple, 2 tower rooms for kids with multiple beds (plus air conditioning for them as they were higher), and adequate bathrooms. Each room had a sink and shower, 2 with en suite toilets and then shared toilets convenient for each bedroom. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed to cook in for most nights, and the large tables inside and out meant that we could all sit together. The pool was outstanding; kids loved it and it was warm, so it was used daily. The owner was available and very helpful, provided pool towels and extra bedding and gave advice on local options. The environment is lovely; steps from the Dordogne river where you can rent canoes or stand up paddles, a 10 minute walk to a fantastic patisserie, pharmacy, or grocery store, and short drives (or 30 minute walk uphill) to gorgeous Domme. Beautiful towns nearby like Sarlat, and Castelnaud. We also spent a day at ropes course / zip line facility nearby (Monkey forest) which was fun. Really loved our trip and would highly recommend. Definitely need a car; could drive from Bordeaux, Limoges, or Carcassone in under 3 hours.
