Good property in a good location with easy access to France and Germany.

It was as advertised, great location between Colmar region and Black Forest. Spent mornings sunbathing on private patio, explored local (within 1 hour drive) places of interest, evenings out on the patio and in the huge hot tub. Although the swimming pool is next to the owners house, it was always just our family which was nice. Incredibly quiet location but only 10 minutes drive from local very well stocked large supermarket. Owners very helpful (suggested great places we might want to see which were places we did indeed find interesting) but not too intrusive. We would recommend this place for families and/or adult only groups. Of course you need to have a car (we drove down from Strasbourg but equally accessible from Basel airport).

We had such an amazing stay at Domaine Thierhurst B&B in Nambsheim. Marc-Andre was extremely helpful before and after our arrival, and Bénédicte and Jean-Jacques were very helpful during our stay. The property was very clean and comfortable for our stay. I appreciated the modern decor and spacious atmosphere here. We also enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and a chance to get away from the city! 10/10 such a wonderful experience and lovely people. We hope to stay again!

It is really a wonderful place. The house, the rooms the high standard of everything (super modern bathrooms with high tech showers, kitchen equipment etc), the environment, the people (plus the pool and jacuzzi!).

We had a god impression of the house and the site. Everything was easy and we felt welcomed. We didn't encounter any problems related to the rental during our July stay in Alsace. Very friendly and helpful hosts who don't over-advertise the place which is better than in the pictures. Minor remark: The house's interior design seemed more suitable for a 6 adult (two-three families) rather than for 4 adults of one family.

A well laid out property with very high quality fixtures & fittings ideal for a peaceful & out of the way rural location. Extras included 2 hot tubs and a swimming pool for relaxation. Would suggest having a welcome pack in various languages covering how to use the various equipment in the property which was of a very high standard. To include also list of shopping, pharmacy, Doctor and hospital facilities if needed. We had a great holiday and will recommend the property to our friends George V. Stewart & Family

We have stayed in many gites in France and this was without a doubt the best. Light, clean and airy spaces which are well equipped with everything you need. We are definitely returning.

We are a family of four with two teenagers aged 17 & 13. The Gite was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The shared pool was a good size and kept very clean, and the hot tub was a great feature. The location was very quiet with a lovely garden, and surrounded by fields of maize. Plenty to see and do in the area, lovely medieval french villages in the Vosges, and just across the Rhine the beautiful Black Forest. Would recommend the gite to families wishing to holiday in the area.

Our week in France

The property has wonderful facilities and the owners have put a great deal of thought into the contents of the property/environment. The house has a high standard of cleanliness. We enjoyed our week in the property and used it as a base to explore Strasbourg, Colmar and also visited Europa Park. We enjoyed using the pool and the hot tub particularly as it was so warm the week we stayed there. The owners were welcoming and took time on a number of occasions to make sure that everything was alright with our stay. Our experience in renting this property was very positive. Many thanks.

Lovely modern property in a beautiful setting.

Our stay in the cottage was overall very good, with it being well equipped, comfortable and set in a beautiful rural area. We enjoyed our time in nambsheim and it served as a great base for seeing the sights of both alsace and the black forest. There are a couple of things that could have been better however, firstly there is no air-con in the property despite it being listed on this website as having it. This wasn't an issue during our stay, but it shouldn't be on there if you don't have it. I think the house could also benefit from some guest guidebook with instructions as certain aspects of the house, for example the hob and the outside lighting took us a while to figure out without any guidance. Finally, the pool wasn't as clean as we would have expected with the steps covered in green algae. However, in spite of these points for improvement, I would like to stress that we still did have a lovely time and there is so much to recommend about this property, we would happily stay again.

A Gem of a find in Alsace

The Workshop is truly a fabulous house and a wonderful place to stay in the Alsace. Warm welcome and exceptionally clean, great for two couples to share as two separate toilets and 2 bath/ shower. It is quite a way from Colmar and you do drive the same routes to get to major roads about 15 minutes drive away, good access to German villages as well. We traveled the Alsace Wine route with lovely colourful medieval villages with cobbled streets and timber framed houses. Strasbourg is well worth a visit and the boat trip is a good value way of seeing the city. Only issue with The Workshop is no air conditioning in house, it's advertised but not even fitted, and we had temperatures of 30+ in September. Overall we would love to return to this gem of a holiday home in the Alsace, a real find!

Beautiful, well maintained home

The property is very modern, well maintained and extremely clean. It is ideally situated for visiting both Germany, Switzerland and of course the many beautiful wine villages close by in France. The owners are very welcoming and very helpful and always there if you needed anything. A special thank you goes to Jean-Jacques Kinny's sister-in-law who helped me out when I needed assistance in finding the right hospital in Colmar for a problem that I had with my eye. Without her help I would have no doubt gone to the wrong hospital as there are 2 located in Colmar. This was our second time at the house and we hope to return in the not too distant future. The Workshop is extremely clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed. Surroundings beautiful and peaceful. Owners very helpful. On arriving late and lost in the dark, Mr.Kinny kindly came out to meet us and guided us to the house. There were also two very friendly and well-behaved terriers who greeted us every day. We highly recommend The Workshop and will return in the future for two weeks as our stay of one week was not long enough in this beautiful region of France. Worth visiting are the Black Forest and Switzerland which are close by. Julia H

We are a family of four, including two grown sons. The Workshop is set up beautifully to incorporate privacy and allows for family get togethers. The property is extremely clean, well maintained and in a beautiful location. The owners are most helpful and were available if we needed them.. The Workshop is well equipped and provides all the necessary items you would need for an enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, near the wine road and very close to the Black Forest in Germany. I would highly recommend this cottage. We stayed one week at the Workshop, but we wished we could have stayed longer. It was certainly a wonderful experience!

Stayed with wife and daughter for a week. A very nice property, quite high tech modern finish, easy to keep clean, very good and comfortable facilities and furnishings. A good size swimming pool to share with other guests at the BB and you own hot tube. Good outdoor space and excellent wifi. Lucky with very warm weather in mid Sept. Owners at the BB, very friendly and helpful and kept a respectful distance and two very friendly little terriers. Lots to see in the area, good roads and Colmar a gem. Neuf Breisach and Breisach really charming and Black Forest not far away. Although some distance from the village there was nice restaurant 5 mins walk away through the fields. Its also a working farm. Would certainly recommend as a nice place to relax and chill. Terry Cardiff

Amazing!

Amazing!

A superb cottage in a beautiful area of France. The cottage is well situated, just a short drive away from all the attractions and stunning towns and villages. It was spotlessly clean and fully equipped and to have our own hot tub was a real treat! The swimming pool was perfect and again so clean! The kids (8 and 4) so enjoyed their time in the pool. The local area is just lovely and we particularly enjoyed Colmar, Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg, La Voerie des aigles, Kayserberg, Triberg Falls, Europe Park and Steinwasen Park. We enjoyed eating in France and Germany and loved the ease of driving across the bridge into Germany for dinner! We also went to Switzerland for the day which was beautiful. We would fully recommend this beautiful cottage and this region of France! My husband said it was his favourite holiday ever!

We spent 8 nights and were very happy. The house is very well designed and appointed with nearly every modern amenity. No air conditioning but the floor has radiant cooling, which worked well on very hot days. The location is perfect for people who want to visit both southern and central Alsace and southern Germany. The owners are super friendly and responsive. House was very clean. Location is rural, house overlooks corn fields, so it was nice and quiet. We loved it!

Es war ein sehr entspannter Urlaub. Das Haus war für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Teenager optimal- zu 6. wäre es etwas eng geworden. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter lief problemlos, egal ob auf Deutsch, Englisch oder Französisch. Die Lage ist für Tagestouren im Elsass super, alles in ca. 1 Autostunde zu erreichen. In der Küche war alles ausreichend vorhanden, so dass nicht jeden Tag gespült werden musste. Highlight der Terrasse: Ausblick vom Whirlpool aufs Feld- und ein Gas-Grill war auch da:) Der große Pool ist ums Haus herum erreichbar, nutzbar von 10-20:00Uhr, da auch die Vermieter ihn nutzen. Wir waren aber immer allein dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir hatten einen ganz wundervollen Aufenthalt. Das Haus, die zauberhafte Lage, die Stille und natürlich: die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber… besser geht es nicht. Viele schöne Orte in der Nähe laden zu Ausflügen ein und sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Abends konnten wir uns dann in der toll ausgestatteten Küche französische Spezialitäten zubereiten und genießen, um dann den Abend mit einem kühlen Glas Crémant im Whirlpool ausklingen lassen… was will man mehr?! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder…

prima lokatie,goed uitgeruste keuken,modern interieur,heerlijk zwembad,alleen wel te delen met gasten van de naastgelegen B&B.Landschappelijk niet echt interessant want het domein Thierhurst staat temidden van uitgestrekte maisvelden.Eigenaar staat huisdieren niet toe, maar de 2 hondjes van de eigenaar kwamen dikwijls op bezoek. Verder weinig contact met de eigenaren.

Skøn feriebolig i Alsace

Alsace er et skønt sted at holde ferie - og huset indeholder alt nødvendigt til brug herfor. Vi var en familie på to voksne og 4 børn og huset var perfekt herfor. Fælles pool ligger i en skøn parklignende have - og deles med få andre gæster. Der er god plads til alle. Egen jacuzzi er et kæmpe plus. Huset har egen private terrasse. Eneste minus var at der to gange i løbet af en uge ikke var varmt vand så vi måtte have fat i udlejer. Vi tager gerne ned og besøger huset igen.
