We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The sea view is absolutely breathtaking, and the large lush garden is full of charm, with places to relax in both sun and shade. Even when it rained (which was only one day) we could sit outside comfortably under the covered area and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Very calm and quiet neighborhood. The apartment itself has been very thoughtfully updated. The gourmet kitchen and bathrooms were a pleasure to use, and the master bed was very comfortable. One detail we really appreciated was the screened window in the master bedroom—unusual in France, at least in our experience—and it allowed us to sleep with the window open and wake to the sound of song birds and the gentle call of gulls. Magnificent. The owners were exceptional—always responsive and helpful, replying to any questions within minutes of texting them. The location is quite ideal. A 10 minute walk down the hill and you were in town and near the sea- if you have a car (which we did) there is a private parking spot- also a wonderful bonus. The apartment has a bit more furniture and items than I personally prefer, but that’s just a matter of taste and may not be an issue for others.For us, it was a lovely and memorable place to stay—I recommend it!

We are two ladies in our 80’s who stayed in this gorgeous property for three weeks, without a car. It was a fabulous experience from check-in to check-out. A beautiful home with every amenity. A comfortable and welcoming place after a day of walking and site seeing. The terrace and garden, however, were the jewel of the property, with sunny spots to enjoy and cool and relaxing areas when the sun was too warm. The property and grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. Communication with the owners was easy. They were quickly responsive to any questions or problems we had. It was the perfect retreat.We would happily return.

This is a lovely apartment with great views of the sea and a beautiful garden/ eating area on the terrace. The apartment inside is comfortable and the kitchen works well. We spent 5 weeks in the apartment and cooked multiple meals a week. You can walk to the heart of Menton in just over 5 mins and the beach in 10 minutes. The last 200 meters or so back up is a bit steep but at 59 with a bad knee I made it without any difficulty and would not hesitate to stay here again. Michele’s communication was terrific. She is very responsive and a delight to work with. The apartment is a 15 min walk to the train station. We Walked to the station multiple times a week as Menton is a great base to move around the Cote D’Azur by train or bus. My wife and I had a great experience living in Michele’s apartment😀

Extremely nice and generous hosts. Equipped the fridge with all necessities. Very nice terrasse and garden facing south. Weather was so nice we could lounge in the sun in January. Short walk down the steep hill into Menton. Apartment is a home, no holiday rental. Very personally decorated and extremely well equipped. Will come back.

We had a great time in Menton . The property was excellent situated Great views and sitting areas outside . Unfortunately the sleeping was a problem no air condition which was supposed to be installed and certainly did not like the bed clothes a . Disappointed the bbq was filthy and not able to use . If those 2 things we right it would have been the most perfect stay imaginable

We have very fond memories of our time in Menton and your beautiful home. We were delighted to find that Villa Christie was just as comfortable and attractive as the photos on the website. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated every aspect of this lovely property. The garden was picturesque whichever way you looked. Likewise the house with every corner or niche like a composed picture. The commanding view over the city and the Mediterranean was amazing. We never tired of just going out and looking over the vista. We hope to return.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Christie. The outside areas were the best part and we spent a lot of time out there. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The plunge pool was perfect. The two bathrooms and kitchen were very good but the second bedroom was basically partitioned from the main living area by a book shelf, so we don't think that the property would be suitable for two couples. There was very little hanging space. Could have done with a proper welcome pack on arrival with basic contents i.e. Milk, bread, butter, eggs but only had a bottle of Muscat wine, sparkling water and tomato juice. It meant we had to go and find a supermarket after a tiring day of travelling. When we mentioned it to Michele, she said we could have asked for specific items. You will need an understanding of French too as most information and contact was in French. My O'level French came in handy! If you are driving to the property, beware that there are several hairpin bends to contend with on the way up and lots of one way streets in Menton! On-street parking in the town was very difficult but we used the main underground car parks, especially the one near the Marina. Most of our issues were fairly minor and overall we would recommend this property.

Magical Menton

Magical Menton

This property has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a holiday in Menton. It's main attraction is it's secluded garden and pool/jacuzzi with an incredible view across the whole Cote d'Azure coastline and mountains. There is plenty space indoors and outdoors to relax after busy days and nights exploring the area. Getting out and about is relatively easy. The town and beach are directly below the hill that the property sits upon. Heading back to the property does involve negotiating a bit of a hill, but the view is worth it when you reach the distinctive green door and you can always jump in the pool to cool off afterwards. It's only a short walk down the hill to the train station where Monaco and Italy are just two stops in either direction. Menton is a lovely town to explore with plenty places to eat, drink, shop and soak up the French culture. There is a Casino and a small seaside funfair which has enough to amuse young children. The town of Menton also puts on lots of events and festivals throughout the summer including a music festival in August. Michelle is a lovely and attentive owner, responding well to all our questions. Eric makes regular visits to look after the beautiful garden and clean the pool. We were also greeted by a fantastic welcome hamper, which was much appreciated after our late flight. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped. One slight drawback is that there is no wardrobe in the main bedroom. The second bedroom is part of an area separated from the sitting area by shelving, which is okay for younger children. Overall we felt we had all the support we needed to have a fun and relaxing holiday and would happily return in future.

In all my travels this has to be one of the best investments in time and money that I have ever experienced. The residence and its multitude of amenities was and were first class. Pictures of the residence and its views do not do it justice, they truly are magnificent. My sons and I enjoyed every minute of our stay, not only at the residence but in the surrounding region. The walk to the village/city of Menton was, for the boys, a very easy five minute stroll, for me, with old knees, it was doable but the rental car made my stay much easier. Lots to see and do in Menton, great restaurants, cafes and markets. Eric appeared every other day to take care of the pool and the gardens and was more than helpful. Michele stayed in touch via emails just to make sure that we were doing ok. Should you get the opportunity, visit the region and if possible arrange to stay at this beautiful villa. Stayed here with our teenage boys, and we loved the view, pool, patio, and the house. We only used our car once during our stay, we got a lot of exercise walking down to the town and beach 😃 The only thing that could have made our stay more pleasant, is better beds 🙏 We would love to stay here again, and Michèle made us feel so welcome and comfortable 👌🏼✨️

Wir waren 4 Personen und für eine Woche, Ende Mai, zu Gast bei Michele in dieser Wohnung. Alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, auch was den großen Außenbereich angeht. Der Vermieter ist sehr besorgt um das Wohl seiner Gäste und fragt häufiger per Mail nach, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Der Blick auf Menton und das Mittelmeer ist ein Traum. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Mein Mann und ich haben einen traumhaften Urlaub in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung verbringen dürfen. Der Check in lief absolut reibungslos und die Unterkunft war sehr sehr sauber. Wir fanden sogar Zutaten für ein Frühstück im Kühlschrank und kalte Getränke, so dass wir am Ankunftstag nicht mehr einkaufen mussten! Der Blick von der Terrasse ist atemberaubend! Der Jacuzzi bietet ein angenehme Erfrischung. Wir sind schon das vierte Mal in Menton aber dieses Mal haben wir einfach nur entspannen können, weil wir uns sehr wohl in der Wohnung und auf der großen Terrasse gefühlt haben. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin lief reibungslos, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt auch wenn wir Sie diesmal nicht persönlich kennen gelernt haben. Auch die Dame, die die Betreuung vor Ort übernommen hat, war ganz reizend! Vielen lieben Dank für alles! Wir werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen! Isabel und Franz

Villa parfaite, très bien équipée et tout confort, qu’on n’a pas envie de quitter ! Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux, Michèle est très à l’écoute et disponible pour répondre à la moindre des questions. L’intérieur est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, on s’y sent bien dès l’arrivée. La terrasse est juste sublime avec cette vue incroyable sur Menton et la mer. Aucun vis à vis, le chant des cigales, les transats, les plantes partout donnent l’impression d’un jardin suspendu. Le jacuzzi piscine complète le rêve, on peut même y nager. Je recommande cette location les yeux fermés, nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Encore merci aux deux Michèle pour leur gentillesse et leur accueil.

Wir haben eine supertolle Woche in dieser sehr liebevoll ausgestatteten Wohnung verbracht. Die Terrasse ist wie auf den Bildern mehr ein traumhafter kleiner Garten mit Pool, Außenküche, Grill und toller Aussicht auf Menton und das Meer. Man kann von hier aus zu Fuß entweder zum Baden, zu den Restaurants und zu der schönen Altstadt aufbrechen. Den Abend kann man mit dem Blick auf die Lichter der Bucht und auf Menton beschließen. 10/10 Punkten!

Une vue imbattable, une terrasse extérieure à la végétation luxuriante qui tempère la chaleur, des équipements variés et neufs et un soin apporté à la décoration, une piscine parfaite pour les enfants, il y a tellement d'espaces que nous avons donné des surnoms aux différents "salons"... Encore merci aux propriétaires de ces biens d'exception de nous en faire profiter, nous avons beaucoup de chance !! Une résidence qui se mérite : on muscle ses fessiers en revenant de la plage ^^ (à savoir qu'il a un bus si besoin.) Wir (2 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder) haben die geräumige, liebevoll eingerichtete und bestens ausgestattete Wohnung knapp zwei Wochen im Juni sehr genossen. Von der Garten-Terrasse hat man einen wundervollen Blick über Menton auf das Meer, es gibt zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, angenehm im Schatten zu sitzen. Der Pool / Jacuzzi ist mit 28 Grad phantastisch zum relaxen, obwohl er nicht allzu groß ist, konnten die Kinder auch vom Rand vorsichtig hineinspringen (Tiefe im hinteren Teil ca. 1,50 m). In wenigen Minuten ist man in die Stadt runtergelaufen, dort gibt es eine sehr schöne Markthalle, viele Geschäfte und einen Sand- und einen sehr großen Kiesstrand, beide mit tollem Blick aufs Meer und sehr sauber. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gibt es sehr viele, besonders gut gefallen haben uns eine Wanderung zu Fuß auf dem Küstenweg nach Monaco (mit dem Zug zurück), Nizza (mit Zug) und St. Paul de Vence.

We loved the stay at this property. There were only two of us and the flat is spacious enough for four. The main bathroom is wonderful with a very big shower. The terrace is unlike any I have ever seen. It is very large, an interesting shape with a variety of covered eating/resting areas, but above all the well-cared for plants and upkeep of this terrace-garden is outstanding. The photos on the internet don't do it justice. We certainly plan to return. One minor downside is the steep climb to the house from the village centre. It is a quick 5 min walk, but quite steep. That said, we are unfit and still managed it several times a day. The upside is the breathtaking view from the house over the village.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft wurde mit Frühstück angeboten, das trifft aber leider nicht zu. Wir haben 14 Tage gebucht, Übernachtung mit Frühstück, so stand es im Angebot. Es gab ein schönes Begrüßungspaket, das wohl als Verpflegung gedacht ist, aber keines Falls für 14 Tage reicht. Die Terrasse mit Pool ist sehr großzügig und wunderschön. In der Beschreibung steht es sind 5 Sonnenliegen vorhanden, leider gibt es nur 2. Wir waren 3 Erwachsene Personen (schade). Ansonsten haben wir uns wohlgefühlt und 14 schöne Tage verbracht.

Grâce à ce petit message, nous tenons à souligner le bon goût évident avec lequel madame Sampieri a agencé sa propriété. L’intérieur est coquet et très bien décoré. La cuisine ainsi que les sanitaire sont neufs et choisis parmi du mobilier ‘’ haut de gamme’’. Avec ses dimensions généreuse, le jacuzzi combine les caractéristiques du bain à remous et de la piscine, ce qui permet même d’y faire quelques brases. La terrasse est surprenante, tout y est conçu pour donner à l’occupant l’illusion d’être dans un jardin. Au mois de mai, le délicat parfum du jasmin étoilé se répand ici et là accompagné par les notes fraîches et vertes de la vigne en fleur. Allongés sur les chaises longues, nos après-midi de lecture nous donnaient la sensation de flotter entre le ciel et la méditerranée à bord d’une nacelle de montgolfière, avec pour seule compagnie, le ballet des oiseaux de mer. Dans cette demeure, tout est sérénité, calme et volupté…

Die Besitzerin ist sehr sympathisch und die Terrasse mit dem Mini-Pool der absolute Hammer!! Auf dieser Terrasse kann man an Schattenplätzchen, unter Bäumen, unter der Sonnenmarkise, an Tischchen, auf Liegestühlen - oder wo auch immer - verweilen und das Panorama mit der Altstadt und dem Meer geniessen. Die Küche ist gross und gut eingerichtet und das Schlafzimmer geht auf die wunderbare Terrasse hinaus. Wir waren zu zweit und konnten so den Luxus von zwei Badezimmern geniessen. Unsere Hunde waren ebenfalls willkommen. Es ist ein Platz, an den man gerne zurückkehren möchte.

Vraiment tout était parfait. La vue est à couper le souffle, la grande terrasse propose différencions au frais et au calme, la piscine/jaccuzi permet de bien se rafraîchir, l'intérieur est cosy. La vexation luxuriante de la terrasse en font un endroit ou nous avons passé de très bon moments. La situation était pour nous idéale, loin de la foule au calme et en même temps à quelques minutes à pied. Je recommande vivement, tout est fait pour bien s'y sentir.

Prachtig, zeer goed uitgerust appartement met een fantastisch terras. Het terras, of zeg maar tuin, heeft een formidabel zicht op Menton en de kust. Michelle, de eigenares, is steeds bereikbaar per mail/gsm en is bijzonder behulpzaam indien nodig. Beautiful, very well equipped appartment with a stunning terrace. The terrace, or should I say garden, has a fantastic view over Menton and the coast line. Michelle, the owner, is very helpfull and you can always reach her by mail or cellphone. We stayed two weeks in this great apartement which fulfilled all our expectations. We are a couple and had our baby with us, so we needed a nice place to stay since we knew we had to spend quite some time in the apartement (since we have a small baby). Therefore a good outdoor space was essential, and the outdoor garden in this apartement is really great. It is big, has a very nice garden and spectacular view. Inside the apartement is modern with two very good bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Only drawback was that the apartement is on a hill, and it was a bit difficult to navigate the baby stroller down the hill - but it was perfectly possible, and we went downtown more or less every day (it took about 8-10 minutes to get down the hill). When you get down the hill you are in the middle of the centre and Menton is a good city for moving around with a baby stroller. If you don't have a baby and stroller, it is of course much easier to get up and down the hill - and the view from the apartement is well worth the small effort. The owner reacted very quickly if there was any questions and we really enjoyed our two weeks in this apartement. Highly recommended!
