It was such a privilege to stay in this chateau which was full of character. The renovations are work in progress and we struggled with some of the showers. Outdoor furniture would have been a bonus as the weather was fine. Host was generous with firewood for open fires. Overall a very enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings.

The Chateau looked amazing in the images and from outside when we arrived looked stunning. Unfortunately the rooms some bedrooms needed work with damp, mould and wall paper piling off which isn’t an issue as you can see the building is old. The property looked like it had not be touched or lived in for years. My main problem was the nests of creatures that was living amongst us and sleeping with us. I called the owner to look into these things and sent a man on the last day to be told the property has a hornet nest which is very dangerous as these can kill someone. On top of that a spiders nest, and other nest of creatures that would need us to leave the property for them to remove. Myself and a few of my party have been bitten very badly and need to seek medical treatment. This chateau had so much potential but unfortunately our stay was not very pleasant at all. Also the internet is not strong enough to reach all the rooms so it was very hard to connect too.

We booked this property almost a year in advance, and had high expectations! All through the Covid months leading up to it we kept hoping and were absolutely delighted to be able to enjoy the most amazing week, with all our expectations met. The property, chateau and enormous grounds were perfect for adults and children alike. The chateau is a work in progress and suited us beautifully. It was a feast for the eyes.
