The quality of the house, the furnishings, the art works and the house grounds are rarely found in vacation rentals. This is an outstanding property in all respects. It is also very peaceful and quiet, about a 10 minute walk from the local village with a pleasant bar/cafe. Two villages, 3 miles away, have excellent boulangeries. The local coastal town of Paimpol, is an easy 10 minute drive away. Here you will find supermarkets, plenty of good restaurants, an attractive quay / marina, historic streets which host a great market on Tuesday mornings. We rented the house for 2 weeks to give us some down time in rural France, and to hike the Brittany coastline. Both aims were fully achieved.

Claudine and Jean were the most gracious hosts welcoming us to their property with warm smiles, flowers and chocolates. The house is equipped with and for every need. Comfortable, and architecturally lovely, the it is an oasis of quiet calm. The view from the bedroom windows out over the cloister to the fields beyond is something out of Van Gough. We loved the area and never tired of discovering new towns, villages, beaches and restaurants.

We have rented vacation homes in many regions of France but this property was truly the best we have experienced in terms of architectural features, modern design, and a touch of history with a cloister garden. Jean and Claudine were delightful and kind hosts and made us feel so welcome. The home was spacious, immaculate and very well-appointed. We came to explore the coastal paths along the north coast of Brittany which were spectacular. After our daily adventures we returned to this peaceful spot to gaze at the stars and nature all around us. We loved the small vineyard, stone water well, multiple patios, and the works of art inside and outside the home. We explored Perros Guirec, Paimpol, the Ile de Brehat archipelago, Sillon de Talbert, Carnac, and made the 2-hour drive to the magnificent Mont St Michel Abbey. We highly recommend this property for the exceptional comfort, décor and tranquility. Traduction: Nous avons loué des maisons de vacances dans de nombreuses régions de France, mais cette propriété était vraiment le meilleur que nous avons connu en termes de caractéristiques architecturales, un design moderne et une touche d’histoire avec un jardin de cloître. Jean et Claudine sont des hôtes tres aimables et nous a fait sentir alors bienvenue. La maison est spacieuse, impeccable et très bien décorée. Nous sommes venus pour explorer les sentiers côtiers le long de la côte nord de la Bretagne, qui ont été spectaculaires. Après nos aventures quotidiennes, nous sommes retournés à cet endroit paisible pour contempler les étoiles et la nature tout autour de nous. Nous avons adoré le petit vignoble, plusieurs terrasses et les œuvres d’art à l’intérieur et l’extérieur. Nous avons exploré Perros Guirec, Paimpol, l’archipel de l’île de Bréhat, Sillon de Talbert, Carnac et faites les 2 heures de route pour le magnifique Mont St Michel Abbey. Prachtig huis, super uitgerust. Fantastische ontvangst. Overal vazen met bloemen, lekkere paté als geste. Huis is kraakhelder. Goede bedden, goed uitgeruste keuken. Omgeving is genieten. Paimpol leuke stad, gezellig. Mooi wandelen over de kliffen. Fijne stranden in de buurt - wel aan te raden om met laag tij te gaan.

Das Anwesen ist traumhaft gelegen und mit viel Liebe zum Details eingerichtet. Wir haben eine tolle Woche in einem einzigartigen Ambiente verbracht. Die Küche ist toll ausgestattet. Ein Abendessen im Kreuzgang bei Kerzenschein ist ein tolles Erlebnis! Hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht und wir mussten uns motivieren um das Haus zu verlassen um die ebenfalls tolle Gegend zu besichtigen. Ausflüge zur Île de Brehat, dem Silon de Talabert und nach Paimpol sind zu empfehlen.

C’est simplement réjouissant, soigné et confortable, beau et unique, calme et serein . C’est un endroit qui fait rêver. On aime à regarder les meubles, les objets, les sculptures, les tableaux. Das Haus übertraf die Erwartungen. Der Zustand ist perfekt, bis hin zu den frischen Blumengestecken bei Ankunft. Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll und persönlich, das Besteck war in den Schubläden ausgerichtet. Nespressomaschine vorhanden. Der Kreuzgang bietet eine ganz eigene zusätzliche Wohnqualität und wurde jeden Abend für den Konsum von Wein und Buch genutzt. Junge Füchse, die abends auf der Wiese vor dem Haus spielten, waren auch für uns ein Novum. Lage im Hinterland, was aber kein Problem darstellt. Die üblichen Ausflugsziele sind schnell erreicht, Paimpol ist ca. 10. Minuten Fahrtzeit entfernt. Einchecken persönlich und nett durch Mme Divry. Um überhaupt etwas kritisches anzumerken: Das Passwort für das (gut funktionierende) Internet ist etwas kompliziert und damit langwierig einzugeben, das war’s dann aber auch mit negativen Erfahrungen. Gerne wieder.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison, la cour et le jardin sont superbes, les prestations sont excellentes. Le piano ainsi que le jeu d'échecs sont un plus. Nous avons passé la semaine de Noël avec nos 2 enfants dans cette maison magnifique ! Tout était parfait ! Accueil très chaleureux. Jean et Claudine sont de très bon conseil, nous avons fait toutes les adresses et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! La maison est tout simplement sublime, intérieur comme extérieur. Nous y avons passé une excellente semaine ! Elle très bien équipée et tout est à proximité (commerces et lieux de visites). Maison propice au calme et au repos au coin du feu l'hiver. Maison spacieuse très bien conçue, dans les moindres détails, et aménagée avec goût. L'originalité du cloitre contribue à la sérénité et au calme du lieu. Sa situation permet de visiter de nombreux sites plus beaux les uns que les autres : Paimpol, Tréguier, le sillon de Talbert, des villages restaurés avec des églises surprenantes, possibilité aussi de faire de belles randonnées. Merci à Claudine et Jean pour leur accueil chaleureux. Nous avons découvert le travail particulier de Jean dans la maison et dans la galerie d'exposition de Paimpol. Très belle propriété Très belles prestations Correspond tout à fait à la description. Le piano est un vrai régal dans ce salon. Un book est à disposition pour les sites touristiques autour de la maison. Au calme. Très paisible et surtout une multitude d’endroit pour lire un beau bouquin dans ce lieu d’exception. La cuisine permet de se faire des bons petits plats et même les couverts a pique nique sont prévus.

We had an unforgettable visit to Brittany and to the most fantastic house - L'Escopti... Everything was perfect and we found ourselves just relaxing in pure luxury. The pictures speak for themselves - but then when you arrive you realize that it is so much more. Everything is so immaculate. You have to come and see for yourself 😉� There is nothing missing in this house and my husband was especially thrilled that the kitchen was so well stocked with everything you need to make gourmet dinners and that the knives was so sharp. I just loved all the delicious dishes he served for me... We enjoyed playing on the beautiful grand piano in the living room and also reading the many interesting books on the landing by the TV, but the ultimate joy was to sit by the lit fireplace in the evening, gazing over the cloister when the light was on - true bliss. The coast of Brittany is truly spectacular and we found ourselves drawn to it every day with walks into the desert-like landscape when the tide was low. So amazing.... we have to come back again. Thank you very much Claudine for greeting us so welcoming and also thanks to your husband for fixing the unintended mess we made with the hot water pump... Best regards Steen & Mette Nørgaard

Das Haus ist ein Gesamtkunstwerk! Mit grosser Liebe zum Detail geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr geräumig, eindrückliche Architektur, eine perfekte Ausstattung (auch in der schönen Küche), ein zauberhafter Garten: dies hat uns alles sehr beeindruckt. Die Lage ist absolut ruhig, umgeben von Feldern und trotzdem ist man in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto in Paimpol, einem sympathischen Hafenstädtchen mit Restaurants, Supermärkten etc. Wir hatten einen sehr netten Kontakt zu den Vermietern. MERCI, Claudine und Jean, für diese wunderbare Woche!

Wir waren Ende Juni/Anfang Juli zwei Wochen in diesem tollen Haus. Das Anwesen und das Haus - einfach ideal zum Abschalten und Genießen für alle die nicht unbedingt das Meer vor der Tür brauchen. Die Beschreibung in der Anzeige passt genau. Die Ausstattung ist sensationell und bester Qualität, mit lauter schönen Details und Kleinigkeiten. Wir haben jeden Tag im und um das Haus wieder Neues entdeckt und trotzdem bestimmt noch nicht alles gesehen. Die Lage des Objektes ist abseits vom Trubel in absoluter Ruhe und trotzdem ideal um die Rosa Granitküste zu erkunden. Mit dem Auto ist man in 15 min am Strand oder an den Klippen zum Wandern und Staunen. Es war für uns ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt- Luxus pur! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder. Hinweis: Aufgrund der sehr hochwertigen Ausstattung und der vielen schönen dekorativen Kunstgegenstände im Haus ist das Objekt nicht für Kleinkinder geeignet.

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable dans cette maison magnifique! La beauté du lieu, le calme, le sens de l’accueil et du service de Claudine et Jean, tout a été parfait et reposant ! La proximité de la côte, à quelques kilomètres, nous a permis de faire de grandes promenades, le temps ayant été particulièrement clément pour la période. Enfin l’équipement de la maison est de très grande qualité et nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous! Merci Claude et Jean, et au plaisir de revenir très bientôt!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce gîte magnifique. Une grande attention a été portée sur chaque détail pour que le séjour soit le plus reposant et le plus agréable possible. Le gîte est très bien conçu et très confortable, y compris la literie. Chacun peut s'isoler, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur, selon les moments de la journée et profiter tantôt de la terrasse, tantôt du cloître dans un environnement très calme. Le grand salon, ainsi que les tables extérieures permettent aussi de se retrouver tous ensemble de manière très conviviale. Il est très bien équipé, notamment la cuisine, et de manière très fonctionnelle. Et pour les musiciens, la présence du piano et l'excellente acoustique du gite sont un vrai bonheur ! Grâce à sa bonne situation géographique, nous avons pu visiter de très beaux sites à proximité et profiter de la côte sans passer trop de temps dans les trajets. Enfin, un grand merci à Claudine et Jean pour leur accueil, leur simplicité et leur gentillesse. Nous avons été très touchés par les oeuvres de Jean exposées dans le gite, dans sa galerie, ou encore dans le cloître de la cathédrale de Tréguier. Nous espérons pouvoir revenir très vite ! Wir kamen an und waren zuerst sprachlos über die Weite, den Stil des Gebäudes und seiner Einrichtung, sowie den freundlichen Empfang durch die Besitzerin. Wir hatten schon hohe Erwartungen, aber die Realität war noch um einiges schöner! Wir haben viel musizieren können und den Klang des Flügels zusammen mit unseren mitgebrachten Instrumenten an jedem Abend bei Serenandenmusik genossen! Das Haus und seine Lage haben uns total entspannen lassen; tagsüber bei kleinen und größeren Ausflügen in die schöne Umgebung, beim gemeinsamen Kochen in der perfekt ausgestatteten Küche, bei den Mahlzeiten an unterschiedlichen Stellen im Haus, im Kreuzgang, auf den Terrassen und beim Schlafen in den perfekten Betten! Wir könnten auch noch mehr Sterne vergeben!!!

In ruhiger Lage liegt dieses echte Kleinod, mit Liebe ausgestattet und ausgesprochen großzügig. Die Bilder entsprechen absolut der Wirklichkeit. Wir haben hier eine herrliche Woche mit unseren beiden Teenager-Kindern verbracht. Man kann von hier aus gut Ausflüge zur Cote de granit rose, zur Ile de Brehat, dem Sillon de Talbert und auch nach St.Malo machen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir (eine fünfköpfige Familie mit drei erwachsenen Kindern) können uns allen vorherigen Bewertungen voll und ganz anschließen. Dieses Haus ist einzigartig. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe, der Entspannung und der Sinne. Nicht allein, dass äußerer Garten, Kreuzgang und Haus ein zauberhaftes Ensemble bilden, die Einrichtung von ausgesuchter Schönheit ist und die Ausstattung (natürlich) alles enthält, was man erwartet oder wünscht. Vielmehr nehmen die hier versammelten Gegenstände den Gast mit auf eine Zeitreise in unterschiedlichste Epochen, ohne dass dadurch das Gefühl, zuhause zu sein, gestört würde. Für musikalisch Interessierte eröffnen sich Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten, die in einem Ferienhaus kaum einmal zu finden sind. Der große Wohnraum und auch der Kreuzgang bieten akustisch reizvolle Plätze für kammermusikalisches Musizieren. Als weiterer Höhepunkt steht neben einem Harmonium seit neuestem auch ein (gestimmter) Flügel zur Verfügung. Dass Monsieur und Madame Divry uns freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen haben und alle organisatorischen Angelegenheiten reibungslos abgewickelt wurden, rundete unseren ersten Aufenthalt ab, der hoffentlich nicht der letzte bleiben möge.

The house is absolutely great, beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished and equipped. The location is very quiet and ideal for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The cloister/patio is truly an oasis. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. Previous correspondence with them was very prompt. This property definitely exceeded our expectations. je fréquente régulièrement les locations saisonnières suite a de nombreux déplacements jamais nous n'avons ressenti une plénitude aussi complète , souvent il nous a fallu se faire violence pour s'extirper d'un lieu aussi paradisiaque tout est parfait le moindre détail a été recherché pour créer une atmosphère si particulière si propice au bien être ressenti éclairage décoration choix du mobilier tout est cohérent d'un gout irréprochable a l'image des propriétaires artistes par excellence et très disponible on a passé un sejour de reve on y reviendra avec empressement
