About this cottage rental

Located 7 km from Goudargues, it is in our Provençal farmhouse, built using dry stones, that the Mas de la Source gîte is located. It enjoys a pleasant panoramic view. It is positioned on the ground floor, its entrance is independent. We live on the upper level, without nuisance and opposite for you.
The cottage is air conditioned, it consists of a living room with fully equipped integrated kitchen area (oven, dishwasher, M.O), two bedrooms, a bathroom (with washing machine) and a WC independent.
A covered terrace, decorated with a garden furniture, a charcoal / wood barbecue, a pleasant swimming pool with swimming against the current, entirely enclosed by stone walls, will enhance your stay.
We can also make you taste the fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs from our vegetable garden with ease.
The parking is private under an arbor, in the enclosed property of 4000m2 approx.
If you want a personalized welcome and support during your vacation, if you love authenticity, calm and nature then we will be delighted to welcome you and guide you in our Gard region.
Ideally located between Goudargues and Uzés, near the Céze river, we will suggest the discovery of unusual or picturesque places. The Pont du Gard, St Quentin la Poterie, La Roque sur Cèze, Cornillon, Lussan are all very close sites, which will be revealed during your visits.

Nice comfortable house, with a large garden and swimming pool. Perfectly located to explore the region. The owners gave very nice tips for visits and hikes. The apartment itself is fully equipped and comfortable, although the interior could be improved a bit to give it more charm and 'warmth'. Good to know that the owners live in the other part of the house so sometimes it lacks a bit of privacy.

Our family of 5 (3 children aged 3, 7 and 8 yrs old) had a blast at the "mas de la source". We stayed for 14 days but could easily have filled 1 whole month discovering the beautiful region. There are so many things to visit, Jean Christophe and his wife Nelly are great hosts that know the surroundings very well. They helped us a lot to find our way in the wider region: Pont du Gard, Uzès and his market, beautiful villages as Lussan and Montclus, Pont d'Arc and Gorges de l'Ardèche, "accrobranche" (too much fun for both children and parents!), peaceful walks between the wild lavender fields around Saint-André-d'Olerargues to Verfeuil and Montèze, "les Concluses" (wonder of nature), "baignades" in the river Cèze, the waterfalls of Sautadet, festival of Avignon, "la manade du joncas" (course camarguaise only 5 minutes away a must see!) etc. etc. The property is very well situated, and well equipped. During the hot days the pool was very refreshing, there is a big terrace with a lot of shadow, a very nice garden (with vegetable garden, we appreciated the little presents from this garden: raspberries, strawberries, beetroot,... thank you Nelly!). Inside the house there is AC, we slept in very good beds. Both hosts are bilingual (French and English) and are eager to help you with all your questions ex. find a local shop/producer (honey/olive oil). We highly recommend staying at this place!

We have recently returned following a 2 week stay at Mas De La Source, Jean Christophe and Nelly were fantastic hosts and provided us with great local knowledge of places to visit during our stay. The accommodation is modern and of a very high standard, the little touches make it a real home from home experience. Our 2 children (9 and 11) loved the pool, swings and seeing a one day old Quail was a highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the veranda admiring the beautiful garden and vista. We will definitely go back... Thank you Jean Christophe and Nelly for welcoming us.

We stayed in the house for a week with our two children aged 5 and 7. We all enjoyed every day of that week of vacation. Nelly and Jean-Christophe are very warm and welcoming people. Perfect hosts for a culturel vacation. There a lots of magnificent sights in the area, and we got great and useful guidance from Jean-Christophe. In English most of the time :-) The property is big and there are many opportunities to play and have fun outdoor with the family. The house i new, proper and clean. Will recomend this place to everyone who would like to have a great base for experiencing the south of France.

Nelly and Jean have done their best to please us. But in bad weather no English TV, no drying rack under the covered terrace, no good wifi connection. The gite is for the most part on the north-west side of the house. Unfortunately we found some damp linen cupboards and bed during our stay. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. Less privacy that we had hoped for. Insufficient rest, regularly recurring activities of both owner and neighbors. Photos do not provide information about the neighboring buildings, perhaps photos and descriptions are subject to an update. Additional information; the pool is not secured and +/- 150 cm everywhere deep. Only suitable for children with a swimming certificate.

After travelling 24 hours to get there due to strikes, we were very pleased to find a lovely gite in a peaceful location. Nelly and Jean-Christophe are very welcoming, recommended places to visit and the freshly picked cucumbers were very nice. The gite is well equipped and clean and the air conditioning units were very welcome, although the living area remained cool even though it was very hot outside. We used the pool most days and sat watching the sunset every evening from the gite. We visited Pont du gard, Nimes, Uzes, Pont d'arc, all easily accessed from here. Goudargues is only 10 minutes away and has plenty of restaurants and icecream! Jean-Christophe's topiary comic dinosaur is brilliant. They were also very helpful printing our return train tickets as our return flight was also cancelled! We judge a place by saying if we would return, and yes we would. June is a great time to visit France, before it gets too busy.

We have been here from 16th till 30th of July and have enjoyed the well equipped cottage and the friendly and very warm hospitality of the owners Jean Christophe and Nelly. Also both our children were satisfied because Wifi was working very well (also outside the house) and we enjoyed the luxury of a private swimming pool (8m x 4m). The view from the terrace is lovely and also the direct environment is suitable for daytrips like canoeing (river Ceze), swimming near several nice beaches in the river and in the evening going out for dinner in good restaurants in Goudargues. Especially Uzes and Orange are recommended places to visit (also for shopping)and good to reach by car. In short fine place for a good price situated in an area with many possibilities and daily good summer weather to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Our family of four (2 and 4 year old kids) travelled to France from Vancouver, Canada for a four month adventure. We were lucky enough to book with Jean-Christophe and Nelly. The gite was perfect for our family. The yard was perfect for our kids to play in and we took advantage of the swimming pool. Our kids loved the ducks and chickens on the property. Jean-Christophe and Nelly were such wonderful hosts our kids would get excited and jump up and down when they came back to the property....they still ask about them. The location is outside a little outside a village but for us was perfect. There are lots of charming villages near by, outdoor activities and food and wine adventures. Each day we would see tourist sites, markets or get out in nature, most drives were only 30-60 minutes away. Of all the places we stayed, we think back most fondly of our time here with the most wonderful hosts of our trip! We're looking forward to coming back again.

We had fantastic holiday at this beautiful cottage. The owners were very welcoming and gave us many tips of where to go and what to see. On the arrival we were given fresh eggs and vegetables from their garden,which we thought was very nice of them - and it's always much more tasty when they are from a garden. The house is nicely and recently decorated and well equipped. We had everything we wanted. Our little girl loved the garden,swimming pool and swings. They also have chickens and ducks that kept her amused everyday. There is a fantastic bakery in the nearby village and plenty of restaurants in Goudargues if you feel like eating out. The cottage is in a quiet location,however only a short drive from the most spectacular spots in France! The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of quaint villages (but not too many tourists), natural rivers with the clearest water we have seen, and many many chateau for those who like a tipple. The gite is perfect - our only suggestion is to remember to respect the tradition that rural France is laid-back and mostly 'closed' on Sundays which may be a surprise if you arrive from a 24/7 city life. You may need to consider in advance supermarkets etc. if landing on Sunday. We would certainly recommend staying with Nelly and Jean Chritophe and hoping to be back next year. Indre,Todd & Amelia

We enjoyed the stay as two adult and two kids in this beautiful apartment. Everything is well kept and nicely decorated. In general there is enough space for everything and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is very calm with a fantastic view into the country and great sunsets. The owner family was very nice and they made a point in being perfect hosts. Besides giving us tips on what to visit, they provided us with fresh vegetables from their garden and we could use their garage for storing our climbing gear and bikes. We like doing sports and this location is perfect for jogging in the forests and through lavender fields. Runs to Verfeuil or to La Roque sur Ceze can be made without using roads only on trails. We also found many geocaches in this region and went to the fiesta in the village and met friendly locals. The bakery is just 10 minutes by bike away, and swimming in the Ceze is the 15 minutes by car. Anything not perfect? Not really, we had a big thunderstorm and the power was gone for the night. The host was very considerate and supplied us with candles – I guess this happens from time to time so bring your headlamps ;-).

We stayed here a week in June 2014 with our two small children and we really had a wonderful stay! A perfect accommodation, very clean with all the comfort you can wish for … nice and quiet environment … perfect swimming pool … with a splendid view … and a very WARM HOSPITALTY from our hosts Jean-Christophe and Nelly! We received a very detailed explanation from Jean-Christophe about all the places in the area that are worthwhile to visit, thanks for that!. And our daughter Mila still talks about the fact that she could go with Jean-Christophe to see the small ducks, the chickens and that afterwards she received strawberry’s and raspberry’s straight out of Jean-Christophe his garden … She loved it! The gite was complete and everything you need was there. It was very clean and brand new. Jean Christophe and Nelly were very kind and always available to help with advises about things to see and to do in the aeria. The sunset from the terrace was wonderfull.....the cevennes far away. We spent a lovely, peaceful fortnight in this modern apartment, enjoying the sun and the view. The apartment is tastefully furnished with all the mod cons you need. We were able to sit outside at any time of the day thanks to the bamboo sunscreen Jean-Christophe had constructed outside, and the pool was perfect for cooling down. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful and told us about all kinds of interesting places to go. They even allowed us to pick their cherries and courgettes! The location is beautiful with picturesque villages, impressive rivers and loads of well-marked walks within easy reach. Goudargues was a short drive away and had plenty of good restaurants (we tried most of them!) Thanks again for a super holiday!! Caroline and Jacques (Holland)

nous avons apprécié l'emplacement pour sa tranquillité. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, discrets mais toujours présents pour vous proposer des endroits à visiter, pour vous guider et vous conseiller (balade, resto...) La piscine est bien entretenue et disponible à tout moment. Le jardin est vaste (espace pour jouer à la pétanque , au molkky....). Ce gite est idéal pour 4 personnes. La terrasse ombragée vous permet de manger à l'extérieur. Bref, nous vous recommandons ce lieu.

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Fotos stimmen mit der Wirklichkeit überein. Die Lage ist traumhaft mit schönem Blick. Der große Pool stand uns jederzeit zur Verfügung. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Wir wurden mit tollen Tipps für Besuche in der Umgebung ausgestattet und bekamen sogar das perfekte Kartenmaterial dazu. Vielen Dank auch für die leckeren Tomaten und Pflaumen aus eigenem Garten. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Quel beau séjour ! Le gîte est très propre et superbe. On se sent comme à la maison et avec un cadre idyllique. La piscine était tout à nous. Les propriétaires nous ont accueilli comme des amis en préservant notre intimité. Je conseille vraiment ce gîte pour passer des vacances reposantes ou sportives. What a beautiful stay! The cottage is very clean and superb. You feel like at home and in an idyllic setting. The pool was all ours. The owners welcomed us like friends while preserving our privacy. We spent two wonderful weeks with 5 adults at Nelly & Jean Christoph. They are the perfect hosts, very friendly and always helpful in finding nice trips in the area. The beautiful apartment has a large garden and a swimming pool. Everything is very well maintained with a lot of love for details. Furthermore, we were regularly supplied with vegetables and fruits from their own garden and with eggs from on-site chickens and quails. Many thanks to you both! Nous avons séjourné pendant 1 semaine chez Nelly et Jean-Christophe avec nos 2 enfants de 2 ans et 6 ans. L accueil a été excellent: notre hôte nous a bien présenté la maison et les environs, choisissant les excursions possibles à faire pour nous 4. Toujours de bons conseils tout en restant très discrets, Nelly et Jean-Chistophe ont su répondre à toutes nos attentes. La maison est impeccable: très propre et fonctionnelle. La piscine super et toujours à bonne température. C'est une maison que nous recommandons vivement et nous espérons pouvoir y retourner l'année prochaine. Nous sommes ravis!!

Es hat wirklich alles unseren Erwartungen entsprochen oder übertroffen. Unser 2 Jahre altes Kind hat fast jeden morgen die Hühner gefüttert und es war eine Schaukel mit babysitz aufgebaut. Für Läufer die Höhenmeter nicht scheuen lohnen sich von hier aus Läufe durch den Wald Richtung monteze oder nach saint Marcel de carreiret. Nelly und Jean-Christophe haben uns auch mit Karten und guten ausflugstips versorgt. Es wirklich alles super. Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub!

Wer ein schönes "Ferienwohnung-Zuhause" möchte, Sinn für Landschaft und Natur hat, aber auch gern historische Stätten besucht und sich anschließend in guten Restaurants verwöhnen lässt oder auch auf den vielen Märkten was kauft und selber kocht und das am Liebsten alles zusammen und auf einmal hat, ist hier genau richtig. Prachtig verblijf en zeer vriendelijke eigenaars. Nelly en Jean-Christophe ontvangen je met heel veel zorg en informatie over de regio, inclusief stafkaart voor wandelaars. Het huis is erg proper en verzorgd. Een klein minpuntje was de douchekop die niet meer te richten valt. Je hebt een zalig uitzicht vanop het terras en het zwembad is perfect voor een gezin tot 5 personen. Mooie locatie voor een vakantie met rust en veel natuur, maar toch voldoende dichtbij een dorp met superette. Je hebt wel een auto nodig. Echte aanrader!

Wir haben eine fantastische Urlaubswoche bei Nelly und Jean-Christophe in der Provence verbracht. Alles war sehr sauber und der Garten war toll gepflegt und lud mit seinem schönen Pool zum relaxen ein. Unsere Kinder hatten auch viel Spaß und es war ruhig und erholsam. Unsere Vermieter waren überaus reizend und gaben viele Tipps, sodass wir die Woche toll nutzen konnten. Vielen Dank nochmal an die Beiden.

Sauberer Pool mit hoher Wasserqualität. Auf der großen und bequem ausgestatteten Terrasse Vogelgezwitscher und Weitblick. Die Fotos stimmen absolut mit der Wirklichkeit überein.
