This wonderful stone house is quietly located at the end of a small road. The surroundings and the view from the terrace of the Ardèche and the rock faces opposite are spectacular. There are additional beautiful seating areas in front of and next to the house. It is only a 5-minute walk to a lovely swimming spot or the village. The house is very well equipped and lovingly furnished. The many books are also great. We used the astronomy atlas to search for constellations in the beautiful starry sky at night. Communication with the owner was very friendly, a clear recommendation!

My wife & I stayed in this charming home for 2 weeks in Nov/Dec 2019. The house was clean, comfortable & cosy with log fire, good wifi/TV reception, excellent cooking facilities and quality bedding & linen. Nothing more you could wish for. The location and panorama was breathtaking. Sitting on the terrace listening to the Ardèche River flow by while drinking vin rouge was “ si adorable”. The welcoming gifts were also much appreciated. Perched on a hilltop above the Ardèche river, you couldn’t find a more pleasant, beautiful space to spend your days. The home has all the amenities and is quite comfortable. Our favorite was the amazing views from the patio. The river and village are steps away and yet we felt a calm seclusion of the gorges. Our hosts were generous and patient with their time. Simply an exceptional place and we hope to return some day! Thank you!

Julie, the landlady is caretaking, the view over the canyon is stunning and the Ardeche region is so rich in culture and natural beauty. The accomodation is fully equipped with more than you need, including a modern induction stove. Easy to reach and Balazuc is as pittoresque as a village could be. My wife and I still regret that we could stay only for 5 nights.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit rund um das tolle Anwesen verbracht. Das Wetter hat Anfang Juni alles gegeben, Sonne pur. Daraus hat sich der Einzige, erwähnenswerte Punkt ergeben - es fehlt der Sonnenschutz auf den Terrassen. Der vorhandene Sonnenschirm verträgt überhaupt keinen Wind und war somit nicht nutzbar.

We stayed here in September 2021 and have been looking for an excuse to return ever since. The property is a beautiful stone building with a breathtaking view from the terrace, it's surrounded by gorgeous greenery and near the river Ardeche, (about 100 m). Great care has been taken by the owner to create a cosy country feel. It is clean and very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy cooking and relaxing. Each morning we woke up to glorious country heaven. Remote enough to completely unwind in the peace but close enough to picturesque towns Balazuc, Ruoms, Lanas, Vogüé and Labeaume. The large variation in altitude guarantees a rich variety of trees, plants, and flowers, the area around the property is excellent for spotting all kinds of birds such as nightingales, golden orioles, cuckoos, red kites and bee eaters. It's also a great location for exploring local areas of interest, we particularly enjoyed visiting Grotte Chauvet 2 Ardèche, recreating the magic of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Chauvet cave in a beautiful 20 hectare park. We felt so lucky to have the house to ourselves again for a week this Spring. The photos don't do the place justice all all, everything is much more stunning in real life. We couldn't recommend this property more highly.

Das Haus liegt wie es die Bilder erahnen lassen an einer Klippe der Ardeche-Schlucht. Der Blick ist der Wahnsinn. Julie ist sehr bemüht und herzlich! Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Woche mit unseren Kindern, direkt unten am Fluss (ein kleiner Trampelpfad führt vom Haus aus direkt zur Ardeche oder in den zauberhaften Ort) oder aber auch vorne im Ort unterhalb der Brücke. Dort kann man von den Felsen ins Wasser springen. Auch Ausflüge zum Pont d‘Arc haben den Aufenthalt abgerundet. Durch seine Lage ist es im Haus so etwas von ruhig, wie man es sonst nur selten erlebt. Das einzige was uns gefehlt hat, war ein Schrank oder Kleiderstange um die Koffer auspacken zu können. Julie ist schon auf der Suche nach einer Lösung. Vielen Dank Julie, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage ganz am Rande des Dorfes mit einem fantastischen Panorama-Blick auf Felsen, Schlucht, Himmel und Ardèche. Wir haben von der Terrasse aus Gänsegeier, Pirole, Schlangenadler und Bienenfresser beobachten können. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele malerischen Dörfer mit Gemüse- und Obstmärkten, Cafés und Shops. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, Checkin und Checkout waren unkompliziert und freundlich. Julie, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, Danke für alles!

Nous avons passé un weekend formidable dans la propriété de Julie. Outre l'accueil qu'elle nous a réservé et le fait qu'elle ait été extrêmement arrangeante sur nos heures d'arrivée et de départ, Julie est une personne très agréable qui nous a fait de suite nous sentir à l'aise dans sa maison. Et quelle maison ! L'intérieur est cosy et très bien équipé, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Mais ce qui reste inoubliable pour nous ont été les moments passés sur cette terrasse avec une vue à couper le souffle. Les alentours sont également superbes avec un chemin descendant directement à la rivière, et à proximité immédiate du charmant village de Balazuc. Bref ce fut parfait et nous reviendrons !

Nos attentes ont été depassées. Très belle maison, accueillante, spacieuse et pleine de vie. Cette maison a une âme. La vue de la maison/de la terrasse est simplement incroyable! Julie nous a réservé un accueil très chaleureux et est à l'écoute. Nous lui sommes très reconnaissants d'avoir pu passer cette semaine dans cette superbe demeure familiale. Absolument rien ne manque et la propreté des lieux est irréprochable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les moustiquaires aux fenêtres et les volets pour la nuit. La literie est très confortable. Le calme et la nature. Balazuc est tout proche à pied, petit village très pittoresque et charmant. Petit bémol, la gastronomie, mais nous avons trouvé de très bons restaurants dans le voisinage. La nature alentour nous a émerveillés et les rafraîchissantes baignades dans l'Ardèche (plage -presque privée- à une bonne dizaine de minutes à pied par un petit chemin) ont été fréquentes. Nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation cette propriété pleine de caractère.

We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely house with our three children (aged 11, 9 and 2). The house is very complete and is beautifully decorated. The view from the terrace at the back of the house is breath taking. We loved the little beach that you can walk to in about ten minutes. Last but nog least Julie and her huisband are very pleasant hosts. We hope to return.
