About this apartment rental
This top-floor apartment offers everything you need for a truly relaxing, laid-back vacation in the Harz Mountains. The apartment is bright, stylish, and modern. The open, new kitchen features an exceptionally quiet dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. You’ll find small items such as a roll of paper towels, coffee capsules, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, kitchen towels, and toilet paper. If needed, you can use the Thermomix.
The dining area offers a beautiful view of the garden and the lovely Harz landscape.
To unwind, you can relax in the comfortable armchair or lounge on the sofa with an ottoman.
The metal bed in the bedroom has very high-quality mattresses, and sleeping here is a real pleasure.
The shower is very spacious, and a hair dryer is, of course, provided.
From the house, you can head straight out for long walks or hikes. After hiking, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, or mountain biking, you can visit the “Heiß Brocken” thermal baths, which are just a 2-minute walk away. We offer our guests a 20% discount on admission tickets.
Pets are not allowed.

In the summer, you can enjoy the large garden, the barbecue area with seating, and the lounge chairs for relaxation.
Residential therapy / open spa therapy / pure relaxation: As a special perk, we offer the option of a long-term reservation, i.e., 28 nights at a discounted rate. Electricity, bedding, towels, bathrobes with changes, Wi-Fi: €1,000/month.
Since 2012, therapeutic climate walks have been offered in Altenau. These are also led by a local climate therapist.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Harz Water Management,” with 12 hiking trails covering a total distance of 105.4 km, offers a unique experience.
In the village, you’ll find a supermarket, a health food store, a pharmacy with a full-service post office, a beauty and wellness salon, a lottery and newsstand, a pharmacy, 2 butcher shops, 1 bakery, and a branch in Glockenberg, a physical therapy clinic, a dentist and a general practitioner, as well as several well-organized restaurants—

Sehr schöne FEWO in guter Lage in Altenau, kurzer Fußweg zum Bäcker, Supermarkt und weiteres am Ort ! Gepflegte Wohnung, nette Gastgeber, unkomplizierter check-in/-out. Parkplatz direkt am Haus, Blick beim Frühstück in den schönen Garten....

Alles war wie beschrieben. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Super saubere Wohnung mit tollem Blick vom Essplatz in die Natur. Den im Rücken des Hauses gelegenen, optisch weniger schönen, aber sehr ruhigen Hochhaus-Ferienpark haben wir aus der Fewo nicht wahrgenommen. Wandern war direkt vom Haus aus möglich. Die Wanderung rund um Altenau war ein Highlight unseres Urlaubs.

Das Apartment war genau wie auf der Seite gezeigt und beschrieben: muggelig, supersauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und mit vielen Details ausgestattet, die man sonst selten in Ferienwohnungen findet. Schlafen lässt es sich sehr gut, denn das Bett ist bequem und die Lage ist ruhig. Auch das Sofa ist überaus gemützlich. Die netten und hilfsbereiten Besitzer wohnen im Haus und sind jederzeit erreichbar. Wir haben das Frühstück in der Morgensonne mit Blick auf die gut genutzte Vogelfutterstelle im Nachbarsgarten immer sehr genossen. Dazu gabs Brötchen vom nahe gelegenen Bäcker. Danke an die Gastgeber, wir kommen gern wieder!
