We had a really lovely break. The ability to come and go as you please is a bonus for me.

I liked the fact that it was quite secluded. There was private parking and privacy to both the front anf rear of the building. One of the neighbours was exceptionally helpful and kind. Where the cottage is situated was ideal to use as a base to tour Connamara and surrounding areas

The cleanliness could have been a bit better. There was certainly high dusting required as there were a few cobwebs in the ceiling corners The cottage was a bit cluttered with ornaments and stuff. As a personal choice I didnt like this.

not suitable for those who have no car and are unable to walk into town each day . we got taxis .

what breakfast ???????

we were given wrong address and pn number for property for keys and a lady who lived on the site ferried us two 80 year old about with our luggage to find out te correct address which was 116 not 315 . It took her over two hours to get things sorted for us to get into propert . we were so grateful to her but very dissapointed with the waiting we had and I tries to ring mary otoole on numerus occasions regarding how to work the cooker as there as no instructions . However I never got any response through phone.

We did like Clifden and the area, but not so much the apartment.

I guess we just expected something else from this apartment! It was mostly clean though. The kitchen had a lot of stuff to use. The upstairs shower is actually pretty good. We used the upstairs bedroom because it looked much cleaner than the downstairs. And we did like the windows there (skylight).

The couch really needs replacement! There is a tear in it and the covers on the couch are not clean. Even a bug crawled in when I pulled the cover from it. The curtains need to be replaced too. I guess the whole apartment just needs a bit of fixing up. The apartment is just to full of stuff. It is all tucked away, but it would be better behind doors for example. We used the upstairs bed and the matras is just really hard.

116 Clifden Glen July 2020 Review

General cleanliness was excellent. The kitchen was very nice & well equipped. The layout of the property was great for a family. Mattress in upstairs bed very comfortable. The extra space in the upstairs bedroom was great for the children and made their stay very enjoyable especially with the availability of WiFi. Local contact lovely lady - very helpful.

Top lock on external door was a bit difficult to close exiting. Might suggest 2 extra hand towels, 1 for each bathroom for a midweek change and 1-2 more dishcloth also. Mattress in downstairs bed not as comfortable as upstairs. Notice on top of fridge to remind you to ‘mind your head’ - otherwise kitchen was absolutely great.

the bed was to hard for us (we both have 61 years of sleeping experience). The location is not within walking distance form Clifden (ca 1.5 km in the dark is too far, but with the car it is easy).

Sehr empfehlenswert, gemütlich und warm.

Es war alles da was man braucht, bis ins kleinste Detail. Alles sauber und gutes Raumklima. Sehr gutes schnelles Internet WiFi. Die hübsche Ortschaft Clifden nur 1-2 km entfernt. Gute Luft in bewaldeter grüner Umgebung. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. In dieser Unterkunft konnten wir den in diesem Jahr dauernden Wechsel von Regen, Starkregen und Sonne gut verkraften. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Leider war die Schlüsselbox verrostet und konnte nur mit Hilfe des Nachbarn im Doppelhaus geöffnet werden. Danke an den Nachbar!!!! Eine Waschmaschine noch und die Unterkunft wäre perfekt.
