The apartment was situated in Mondsee, 20mins by car east of Salzburg. A secure underground car park is included, so ideal if renting a car.Lounge/dining area is comfortable, stereo, wifi, Smart TV (netflix access but you'll need a firestick or similar to get Amazon).Kitchenette is small for a family, but well equipped with hob, kettle, oven, dishwasher and fridge, (no microwave). 2 coffee machines for either tassimo pods or standard filter paper. Pans crockery/cutlery provided.Upstairs bedrooms beautifully clean, fresh linen and plenty of storage. Bedroom walls are very thin however and you can hear every sound from the lounge - you wouldn't be able to watch tv in the evening with younger kids asleep upstairs. View of lake and Mondsee village from small lounge window.Location in Hotel.was nice, no problems accessing anything. The hotel is next to St Michael's church, and yes the bells do ring 24hrs a day, but we actually quite liked it after a day or so. Earplugs seemed to be fine at night if it bothered you. Good cafe and restaurant options right outside the hotel. We particularly liked one of the restaurants down by the lake.Fantastic walks up on the hillside above the lake. Salzburg easily accessible via car along the A1 highway.Overall, a very peaceful and relaxing location, thanks to our host Silvia who did a great job providing travel and access instructions.Kitchen is

Well equipped apartment on the top floor of a hotel, where the staff had differing views to the owner as to the facilities that were available as a non-guest. Lounge area was compact, shower was over the bath with restricted shower-head adjustment. Comfortable bed, we appreciated the air-con in the bedroom. Ideally located in the centre of Mondsee and within earshot of the Basilica’s bells! Good value for money when compared to the equivalent hotel room.

Really well appointed apartment in Mondsee, perfect for the two of us although it was a 2 bed apartment so could sleep four. The apartment is very central, right next to all the cafe's and bars, we used the restaurant attached to the hotel (top right corner of the building as you walk into reception) a few nights as the food and service were superb.

This apartment is located at the top of a hotel in Mondsee Austria. The town of Mondsee has wonderful restaurants and bakeries. The location is also near Salzburg and the Lake District of Austria. Would recommend having a car for this location. The apartment itself is very clean comfortable. The hosts are quick to respond to questions meet you upon arrival to the apartment. Parking is available for free with rental of this apartment. We visited during Christmas and Mondsee has a wonderful Advent Market. You can also see the church from The Sound of Music from the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment and location for your visit to Austria.

Stayed here for a week in summer 2010 with a group of 4 adults. The apartment is part of a hotel complex (Schlosshotel Mondsee) allowing access to hotel facilities (pool, sauna, steam room etc). Apartment is clean to typical German/Austrian standards and hotel staff couldn't be more helpful.. Ideal for families, there is a wide range of activities nearby and Hotel is ideally located. What attracts us most to Mondsee is that there is reasonable nightlife - no nightclubs, but bars and cafes are all open till about 2300 hours and there are several restaurants in the town which should cater for all. This is essential in Austria as many towns and villages die in the evening with sometimes only one bar open. My only small complaint was that we had difficulty locating an iron from the hotel but all in all, apartment and town are highly recommended and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Sehr gepflegte Wohnung, super sauber. Nur die Küche wurde von den Vormieter nicht so sauber hinterlassen. Es klebten noch Essensreste am Besteck. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Wir haben die Tage am Mondsee sehr genossen.

Es war alles sehr schön und sauber! Eine Kleinigkeit (ist aber fast überall) die Dusche war eine Badewanne mit Dusche und der Duschkopf blieb nicht oben und war für mich 1,85 zu niedrig !

Wir hatten in Mondsee eine sehr schöne Zeit, nicht zuletzt bezüglich der Ferienwohnung. Sie ist eine lichtdurchflutete, saubere Maisonettewohnung über 2 Etagen, mit sehr geschmackvollen Möbeln eingerichtet und mit wirklich allem (!) bestückt, was man braucht - oder wenn man es nicht braucht, weiß man, dass es da ist. Die Anbindung an das Hotel ist mit einigen weiteren Annehmlichkeiten verbunden. Mit der Wohnungsbesitzerin hatten wir freundlichen Kontakt.

Das Appartment mitten des Hotels ist etwas bizarr, aber funktioniert sehr gut. Man hat einen tollen Ausblick aus dem Fenster und abends hat man die Möglichkeit zu verstehen wieso Mondsee Mondsee heißt. Appartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es gab alles was wir brauchten. Wir sind mit einem 4jährigem Kind und einem Hund verreist und es hat sehr gut gepasst. Einige haben sich beschwert, dass man die Glocken hören kann. Das stimmt, aber es lässt sich sehr gut ausblenden, sodass man nach einem "anstrengenden" Wander-/Fahrrad-/Sporttag sehr gut ein-/durchschlafen kann. Ich hoffe nur, dass wir das Appartment nicht in einem zu schlechten Zustand gelassen haben.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in Mondsee erlebt. Dazu beigetragen hat die sehr gut ausgestattete und überaus saubere Ferienwohnung in dem romantischen Schloßhotel. Einziger persönlicher Störfaktor in der Nacht die durchgehend läutenden Glocken der schon sehr ansehnlichen Basilika viertelstündlich.

Gezocht via Home Away, zoekopdracht, locatie, 4 personen, datum. We kwamen uit bij Schloss Mondsee en boekte een appartement in het Schloss. Het is via de pagina niet helder dat de appartementen niets met het hotel en haar faciliteiten te maken heeft of wil hebben. Gekker nog, je hebt de indruk gast van Schloss Mondsee te zijn. Bij binnenkomst werd ons direct duidelijk gemaakt dat het hotel niets met de appartementen te maken wil hebben. “Wij geven alleen een sleutel af” aldus de receptioniste. Er kan dus nergens gebruik van worden gemaakt, ook niet tegen betaling. Het appartement bevindt zich op 3 hoog slechts voorzien van een dakraam, zonder buiten gelegenheid. Gezien het mooie weer hebben wij na 2 nachten iets verderop een uitstekend onderkomen gevonden en een fijne vakantie genoten. Jammer van de kosten. We hopen met dit schrijven anderen hierop te attenderen. Ruud.

Gute Ausstattung, tolle Lage, schöner Wellness- Bereich. Aber die Wohnung hat kein WLAN und ein zweites Schlafzimmer ohne (!) Fenster. Unsere 13jährige Tochter fühlte sich aufs Abstellgleis geschoben, hat zur WLAN Nutzung auf dem Hotelflur gesessen und hat in dem Schlafzimmer schlecht geschlafen.

Die Wohnung liegt in einem ehemaligen Kloster, das von einem Hotel betrieben und vereinzelt noch weitere Eigentümer von Ferienwohnungen hat. Der Ort und die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Getrübt hat die Stimmung etwas, dass das Wlan in der Wohnung nicht funktionierte, die Spülmaschine defekt war und die Glocken der nur 50m entfernten Basilika zu jeder vollen Stunde und auch noch halben Stunde läutete und das die ganze Nacht durch und bei der Frühmesse um 6.00 Uhr dann das volle Glockengeläut, dann war an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken. Jedoch alles in allem war es eine angenehme Unterkunft in einer wirklich wunderschönen Umgebung.

Wir haben unsere Flitterwochen über den Jahreswechsel im Appartement WD17 verbracht. Sowohl Appartement, als auch Hotel gefielen uns sehr gut. Die Möglichkeit sich selbst zu versorgen oder das reichhaltige Frühstück bzw. eines der drei hoteleigenen Restaurants zu besuchen, garantierte uns die gewünschte Flexibilität. Der Hotelservice (tägliche Reinigung und Handtuchwechsel) und die Angestellten verdienen höchstes Lob, da äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir empfehlen auch den Wellnessbereich mit den Angeboten des Cosmetic Castello (kostet extra) zu nutzen.
