An excellent location for our family to gather. It was central to all the locations where we were fishing . Very quiet and easy to find. Although it is outside of Soldotna, it was still close enough to run to town when necessary, Having a large kitchen made it easy to prepare meals for our group. The beds were comfortable and the blackout blinds really helped us all in getting a good night's sleep.

This would have been a five star rating if not for a significant safety concern. When we arrived all the doors in the house were shut and unlocked. My sister in law opened the door to the garage from inside the house (unaware that it was the garage) and right in front of her was a shotgun with ammo. We were traveling with children and it makes me nauseous to think about what could have happened if one of them had opened that door. This could have been easily prevented with a locked door and a sign that said this is a private area, no entry. Please in the future lock up your guns and warn people that they are present. We immediately locked the door but I can’t help but mention this for the safety of future guests.
Otherwise our stay was great. The house is beautiful and well stocked. The property is gorgeous. If the gun issue is resolved I would absolutely recommend to others.
