About this cottage rental
Experience true Door County charm in this recently renovated, inviting home owned by one of Ephraim’s founding families. The Thorp family history dates back to the 1850s with the founding of the Village by Reverend Iverson. Family owned for over 60 years, BD, the owner, grew up in this lovingly cared for home. The immaculate interior has a master bedroom with king bed, nautical themed bedroom with queen bed, and country-cottage ambiance in the third bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom boasts a new large walk-in shower with safety rail. Newly updated kitchen comes fully equipped and the home also has a laundry room with washer and dryer. Central air will make your stay more comfortable on those hottest summer days. Large landscaped yard with mature trees, picnic table, Adirondack chairs and hammock.

This is our second year staying at this house and was just as wonderful as last time. We played outside in the huge yard everyday and I snuck in a nap in the hammock. It is such a warm and homey place. Thank you so much for all of the hospitality. Thank you for recommending the Old Post Office, we will be going back for breakfast. We are very sad to see our vacation end and we are counting the days until we come back next year. Thank you again.

Well stocked kitchen. Lots of towels. Comfortable beds. Easy access. Wonderful view. Enjoyed seeing wildlife in the evenings. Hammock was a nice touch.

What a delightful stay! The home was clean, cozy and we loved the historic charm it exuded. We especially loved all the pictures/paintings of Ephraim/Door County - so beautiful. The kitchen was very well stocked and living area large with many games/movies available. We enjoyed the beautiful yard, relaxing in the Adirondack chairs and hammock - it was very quiet and close to the water.We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely home and look forward to staying again soon. Thank you very much also for the yummy apple pie to welcome us - we sure felt like we were coming home. Thanks again!

We enjoyed our stay at your house so much. The beds are comfortable, the family room spacious. The house and yard are beautiful. I loved reading on the hammock. It was an easy walk to Main Street, using the stairs off Dane St. the neighborhood was so quiet, a peaceful respite after a busy day by the bay.
