About this house rental
You will find peace and quiet in this villa which is a short walk to the centre of Maussane-les-Alpilles (5 minutes). The property, which has air conditioning throughout, is thoughtfully laid out with 3 double bedrooms and capacity for 6 people. The house is 125m2 and the garden is 1345m2.
It has a fully equipped kitchen with every item you may need for an enjoyable vacation opening onto a patio / dining area overlooking the pool and garden.
There is a large communal lounge-dining room area which offers plenty of comfortable relaxing space with French windows opening into the garden/patio /BBQ area. There is a SMART TV and Wifi (internet).
The bedrooms comprise of:
1.MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom is on the first floor, with a south facing balcony; it includes a Queen sized bed with a wall-length closet and has access to the bathroom which includes a large bath, shower and toilet.
2. GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM 1 A double room with a large wardrobe/closet and a shared ground-floor shower room.
3. GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM 2 A spacious double room with a large wardrobe/closet, opening on to a separate south facing terrace and a shared ground-floor shower room, .
There is also a separate toilet with a sink on the ground floor.
Outside is a south-facing terrace, with plenty of seating areas and sun loungers to relax on and enjoy the sunshine of Provence. A private pool, barbecue and spacious grounds, all screened by hedges, flowering laurels and roses make this a haven to hide away with your family.
The property is not suitable for children under 12 years of age and has a house alarm to use when you are away from the property.
Maussane is a delightful, active village all year round with a thriving central square with cafe bars and many quality restaurants. It hosts several festivals and concerts over the summer months.
It has excellent boulangeries for fresh bread and morning croissants, a well stocked artisan delicatessen /fresh fruit and vegetable shops, fromagerie (for fresh cheeses), caviste de vin (local and regional wines), charcuterie (for meats), to name a few.
There are public tennis courts in the village, three golf courses near-by (2 private in Les Baux and Mouries and one 9-hole municipal course in St Martin de Crau) and numerous sign posted walks in the area. Information from these can be obtained from the central tourist office in the village.
The location, in the Alpilles National Park, is ideal for exploring Provence with its beautiful villages such as les Baux-de-Provence, St Remy, Eygaliéres, and interesting towns, full of ancient history such as Arles, Nimes and Avignon.
Nimes and Marseille Airports are both close-by and car rental is available.
The TGV Rail station in Avignon is equally close, for those preferring to travel by train.
This villa promises to be the perfect base for adventures throughout Provence, or an equally perfect hideaway from the outside world.

A very coMfortable home with everything you need. Neassa was very responsive and helpful. House was clean. Pool was lovely. Walking distance to lovely village with great restaurants and bars. We will definitely return. A wonderful holiday.

Unsere Erwartungen an das Ferienhaus wurden übertroffen. Die Räume waren bestens ausgestattet, sogar Seife, Spülmaschinen-Tabs, Küchenrolle, Spüllappen, Salz, Essig, Öl usw. waren vorhanden, so dass der Einkauf am Sa-Abend klein ausfallen kann bzw. nichts mitgebracht werden muss. Alle Räume (außer Küche und Bäder) haben Klimaanlagen, super.
Die Lage im Ort ist wunderbar, das Zentrum ist schnell fußläufig erreichbar. Es gibt viele schöne Lokale am Hauptplatz, unscheinbar aber mein persönlicher Favorit ist das marokkanische Restaurant La Fantasia in der Hauptstraße. Donnerstags gibt es einen mittelgroßen Wochenmarkt, an der Hauptstraße liegen 3 Bäckereien und ein toller Spar-Supermarkt, klein, aber tiptop, der täglich (auch So) ganztags geöffnet hat. Einen großen supermaché findet man in St.Martin (nach Süden) oder St.Remy (nach Norden) je 10-15 Min entfernt.
Die Landschaft ist grandios, ich bin Reiterin und habe mir einen geführten Ausritt in die Alpilles gegönnt, das ist auch für Anfänger möglich, z.B. im Le Petit Romain in Mouries. Einfach traumhaft.
Nicht so toll fand ich die Kapsel-Kaffeemaschine (viel Müll) und dass es draußen am Nachmittag nicht wirklich einen Schattenplatz gibt. Die Vorhänge in der Terrasse sind sehr schön, aber nicht sehr funktionell, da sehr dünn und licht- und wärmedurchlässig. Es gibt jedoch einen Deckenventilator draußen, der kühlt und hält die Mücken ab.
Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und der Kontakt unter der Woche bei Fragen oder Problemen stets möglich per WhatsApp. Insgesamt fanden wir alle, dass es ein ganz tolles Haus mit Garten ist und auch die Lage keine Wünsche offen lässt. Der Aufenthalt war nicht günstig, aber dem Gebäude und dem Ambiente absolut angemessen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!
