We had 3 nights at this amazing property where the staff can’t do enough to make your stay a dream.
The rooms are modern and spacious. They also have the fastest WiFi we’ve found across all the hotels (15!) we’ve stayed at our trip.
The food is very good too - be sure to book a traditional Sri Lankan curry breakfast the night before.
Drinks are mostly $6 but the quality of cocktails are great.
Kamal, Mithun and the team really looked after us well.
If you want long walks on a deserted 6km+ beach and great home comforts, look no further than here.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Blu in Tangalle. As a small establishment, it has a special charm — the setting feels intimate and the interactions are warmer and more sincere than in larger resorts. We especially appreciated Kamal and Mithun, who checked in on us from time to time to make sure we were comfortable and did their best to accommodate any needs we had throughout our stay.
The hospitality from all the service staff was heartfelt, and the food prepared for us was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we loved spending time at the relaxing pool area. One of our favourite parts was the private stretch of beach right in front of the villa — peaceful, uncrowded, and perfect for unwinding.
Overall, Villa Blu gave us a truly memorable and cosy experience, and we would happily stay again.
