Awesome place and killer location!

My wife and I recently spent a weekend in Austin, and we were fortunate to stay in this lovely house in the South Congress area. The house is perfectly situated as a base from which you can easily stroll over to South Congress and explore the restaurants, shops, and outdoor vendors. There was a lot of rain, unfortunately, but we still managed to enjoy the sights. The house itself is full of windows and light. The bedrooms are small but cozy, whereas the kitchen, dining area, and living room were wonderfully spacious and comfortable. We could see that the backyard was big and inviting; we'll have to visit another time without rain to enjoy that. It was overall a good experience for us, and we would recommend the house.

Beautifully decorated & spacious home just a 5 min walk onto S. Congress and a quick drive to Zilker Park. Really cool retro patio furniture on a large deck with the most awesome old twisty cactus I've ever seen. Great backyard! We spent a lot time outside on its deck. Don't go expecting big screen TV's in any room, this isn't that place. (My 14 yr old son was a little disappointed.) However, you will find an eclectic selection of books. ( My older son, a Sr at nearby Texas State found it very impressive.) You must check out the home 2 down. A unique storied house that was designed by an artist. I think it looks like a story book wizards house, but we all had different opinions. We walked to many cool places to eat & shop in SOCO. Damn, I love Austin and I'm missing it while reliving it. When we go back again I would love to stay in this lovely home.

This property is perfect. Very close to S. Congress, walkable to many places, and small cost taxi rides to downtown and other places. The house is really nice, rooms are spacious, and the owner very caring. Trust me when I write this, you couldn't find a better place and property owner. I will stay here again if available and any chance I get.
