Yaluwa Tourist Rest & cooking class

I stayed at Yaluwa for two nights, and I honestly don’t know how she does it, but hostess Chaya prepares an incredibly delicious meal for every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything is freshly prepared right on the spot. After three weeks in Sri Lanka and having eaten so much amazing food, Yaluwa was by far the best. I would genuinely come back just for the food! The room was also exceptionally good value for money. It was spotlessly clean, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable and luxurious. If you book a tour, definitely ask for Ajith. He’s a tuk-tuk driver, but you really get a driver and a guide all in one. He’s incredibly passionate about sharing his knowledge of the area, the temples, and Buddhism. And he’s such a kind and pleasant person to spend time with. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Yaluwa more. I would definitely come back!

Our host , Chaya is very dedicated in her assistance to her guests. Breakfast was freshly cooked in frontbof us. ... the papaya f fresh juice was amazing !! Room was spacious. Garden is well maintained and neat. We enjoyed such a peaceful atmosphere. The ancient town is very near ( 15 mins in a tuk tuk) Dinner prepared by her was tasty n delicious

Quiet with lovely area to sit outside our room. The owner was genuinely interested and cared about our needs. Hot water, comfy bed great food would stay again.

Lovely and quiet place. The food was really good and the owner really nice and helpful. She gave my really good tips for the temples visits and called for a TukTuk each time I needed one.
